Axton's Command

We're back to cleaning the library today. It does take a while to organize this library, and the space is actually quite large. When Axton offered to come back with him, Monti and I were very pleased. Even some of the inmates were perplexed to see us because we appeared to be quite close to Axton.

If we really were that close, I might be very content. I'm still curious about his life as of this morning. I sometimes wonder if it's disrespectful to think about Axton's passing and life experience, but it does sometimes weigh on my mind.

Perhaps it can be said that now that I am beginning to feel in awe of Axton, my eyes are so transfixed by the strength of the strong man that I can't help but stare at him.

“Robert, what do you see?”

Axton realized if I was looking at him because I gasped.

"Um... uh... Your muscles is absolutely amazing, sir! How could I have muscles like yours? I wondered!”

Although it seems absurd, my rebuttal from just now can be considered quite effective. Axton immediately shook his head and walked back to the top of the closet to retrieve the book.

"Get moving and do your part! Do you wanna die? You can’t called him like that!" Coming from behind, Monti chirped. He gritted his teeth and prodded my arm.

"Robert, you have to work hard if you want muscles like mine. You are undoubtedly the weakest person in this prison, I dare say, of all the inmates. What is your favorite sport?"

Axton suddenly asked me. He was like a father talking to his child as his hands continued to work on tidy up the books. For some reason, I was surprised that he paid enough attention to my sentences just now, and I was ecstatic.

"Not at all, sir. I liked reading a book."

As she descended the stairs in front of the bookcase, Axton turned to face me, grinned sarcastically, and motioned for Monti to come over.

“Come over here, Monti.”

Monti approached with a nervous expression on his face. I'm sure he was frightened and believed Axton would punch him.

"You see? Despite having a thin body, Monti appears to be in good health. Robert, you are incredibly frail and pale. You need to work out frequently, let's start with running, tomorrow morning! Axton said, casually.

"What?! Run early in the day? No! thanks, sir. But I would rather have--."

My friend immediately stopped speaking and looked down like a dog being reprimanded by his mistress as Axton cast a quick, critical glance at Monti.

Actually, I want to do the same thing, but I lack the courage like Monti, who never stops talking and has the guts to respond to every word Axton says. But, sometimes I think, it's really interested. I can take the benefit from getting closer to Axton. I don't know why, but I feel he could be my defender.

I nodded obediently in agreement with Axton's words. I glanced inadvertently in Monti's direction, who glared at me with a frustrated expression.

"That sounds like a wise decision, Sir. But how did Monti and I fare? We are not senior prisoners who can exercise without restriction in the morning," I said.

"Yes! Robert and I won't be able to escape the cell for sure--."

Axton gave Monti another angry look, again, and when I noticed my friend trembling in fear, I couldn't help but laugh.

"What's the point of having a roommate like me among you guys? I'm Axton, and while I don't like fuss, I can make the arrangements I want. We will regularly exercise starting tomorrow and in the days to come, get it? Young man like both of you, have to put on a lot of muscle. Back to the task at hand, NOW, QUICKLY!"

Axton's loud voice yelled at us, and Monti and I both gasped. I still have a warm and happy feeling in my heart, though. It's almost miraculous that a former associate of the terrible mafia already displayed a redeeming quality on the second day of his arrival. What I never anticipated was

"Axton, you have a visitor, today."

A warden officer suddenly appeared and took a position next to the shelf where Axton had placed the books.

"Who is the person?" Axton enquired. He never fix his eyes on the other person. I was quite surprised because it seemed so cool to me for no apparent reason.

"D'Angelo."

Axton quickly turned his head to face the warden officer and gave him a ferocious look. The atmosphere was completely silent. I thought I recognized the name, but then I recalled Monti saying that Axton's cartel was known by the name D'Angelo.

"It's really fascinating!"

I don't know when he came around behind me, Monti whispered in my ear. He had already turned to look at Axton when I turned around. I didn't ask many questions because I didn't want to interrupt Axton's response to the warden.

Axton descended the stairs with her hands balled into fists, exposing the veins in her hands. The warden swallowed his saliva as he shook in terror, and I could clearly see it. In fact, Monti and I both believed that Axton would strike out with the man with the brown hair.

"Juanivo, listen to me! I was relocated here to find a peace.  I thought Alberto has been ordered not to give Angelo permission to meet me? It appears that you have received a sizable amount of gold and money! I'm so interested in how far you guys went to dare ask me to see him!"

Axton was already very close to the warden officer and appeared prepared to punch the man in the face. The warden, however, abruptly knelt down and hugged Axton's legs.

"I'm sorry, Sir!. Actually, I have no idea what has already occurred! The head prison just called me to call you! D'Angelo is waiting for you in the VIP room!"

Prak!

Axton hit a portion of the closet very hard as we all gasped. The warden was then forced to stand on equal footing after the warden's collar was pulled. Inadvertently, Monti squeezed my shirt due to his anxiety. I wasn't prepared for it; I had more courage than he did.

"Bring me to the headroom!"

Axton then pushed the body of the officer, who was already in shock. After a few steps, Axton abruptly turned to face us and said, "Do your job!  I want the books on the shelf to be organized! I will check it when I'm back!"

Both Monti and I immediately bowed our heads in agreement and said, "Yes, sir."
