Immediately the soldiers sighted horror creatures standing upside down on the ceiling  and walls, ready to attack

“Get back! Everyone!” the commander screamed as he raised his weapon

One of the creatures fell and crashed right in front of the commander. Immediately one of the soldiers started shooting it in the face and screaming “GET BACK! GET BACK!! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!”

As they started to push themselves backward to escape, a small explosion sent them crashing to the ground.

The room became completely silent; everything seemed to go still and still, and even the creature stopped moving. Everyone remained frozen staring at the bodies on the ground. Suddenly one of the monsters roared before launching itself toward the commander

Bali grabbed Paul and pulled him out of the room, slamming the doors closed. Once the door was shut, Bali turned around to look at his friend, who was still shaking

“Dude? Are you okay?” he questioned, worriedly

“Yeah, yeah I’m okay, it's just, I don't know. Those were some freaky-looking zombies,” Paul said

“Yeah, they weren’t normal zombies” Bali responded 

“You think? But wait, I thought you just said this facility was safe” Paul mentioned

 

“I meant that there would be no reason for us to be attacked,” Bali explained “we could have easily gotten past these monsters if someone hadn’t shot one of the first”

     Jake appeared from behind, with his team along with the Stranger and Levi. “Where is the commander?” Levi asked

    “He's out there with some freaking monsters” Bali answered as he tried looking outside  the door, trying to find any sign of where he had left the commander

The others joined them around the door waiting for a sign. After waiting for about 10 minutes, they finally heard footsteps from outside. A minute later the commander returned. The man’s hair was disheveled and his eyes were bloodshot. His hands were trembling from being scared so badly.

“The guards were all killed. Everything looks normal,” the commander said

Levi and Jake exchanged a glance as they all realized something. Their leader had told them that he had seen something, and yet, he couldn't find a single thing.

“Did you see something?” Jake inquired,

“No, I didn't,” the commander denied,

“Well, we were pretty sure you were lying, so you better tell us now. You don't have much time” the Stranger insisted. “What did you see?” he asked again.

“I'm sorry, I can't do that,” the commander answered as a small tear rolled down his cheek

“Why not? It’s important, and we’re getting nowhere” the Stranger argued.

The commander hesitated, trying to avoid telling the truth, “common strangers let's get the antidote, and this time we stick together ”  He suggested.

Without wasting any time, he quickly entered the elevator and rode up, the same way everyone else left the room.

They followed him to the top floor, and as soon as the elevator door opened, all the soldiers rushed to their rooms. The stranger was the first one to enter his room, closing the door after locking it.

“Come on, I need your help” he yelled as he opened his computer and started hacking on it.

Paul followed suit, unlocking and opening the door to his room, he also went inside. He locked the door behind him and started searching around. The room was filled with boxes full of clothes, notebooks, and all kinds of other stuff which had probably been stored there for years. After about five minutes, Paul stood up with a satisfied sigh, “Nothing, nothing”

After taking a long look around, Paul went back outside to help with the search. While the commander stood at the entrance ‘I feel weak, I hope we find the antidote quickly' he brought out his arm to see where he was bitten, but then suddenly his face contorted in pain. As soon as he saw the bite mark, he remembered what happened to his team, which prompted him to pull out his arm and start checking for any other injuries, however, there were none. Slowly, his hand moved towards his pocket, where he always kept his gun. Just as he had taken it out of its holster, the sound of an alarm echoed throughout the hallway, waking everyone up in surprise.

A loud bang echoed through the corridor making everyone cover their ears. After a few seconds, silence followed. Everyone remained completely confused. Nobody knew what was going on. When the group realized that no one would answer his call for help, the leader quickly turned off the alarms.

After hearing the last buzzer sound, the group looked at each other in confusion.

“Did you just turn off the alarms?” Paul exclaimed.

“Yeah, and it seems like it took me longer than usual. Did you want my opinion?”

“Huh?” Bali replied “What makes you say something like that?” he asked

The group suddenly heard loud voices coming from down the hallway. A second later all the other doors along the hallway burst open, showing people running towards the elevator with weapons in their hands

“Zombies are headed towards us” a soldier yelled

     The stranger looked around then stopped his gaze at the commander, “Everyone split up, and look for the antidote. when it's dawn we all meet at the top of the hill” the commander ordered throwing a grenade into the staircase 

 leading upwards. Then turning around he disappeared into the crowd of humans leaving everyone stunned.

All the soldiers were fighting for their lives, as the monster hordes approached, and as much as they wanted to run away, there wasn't anywhere to go. The screams began echoing throughout the building. The sounds of bones cracking and splintering made their way toward the survivors.

Just then the sound of a gunshot rang through the air and the sound of breaking bones rang out as two bullets pierced straight through the head of a beast. Turning around, one of the soldiers came face to face with his old friend, the soldier he used to protect. The soldier raised his hand and fired another bullet into the head of the beast. A moment later a huge zombie exploded.

“It’s over,” he said to himself
