Chapter 02 | Time Machine World

"What's that door?"

The girl with the brown eyes glared to the west, to be precise near the slightly open bedroom window.

Dyra had just been released from his dream, until he was surprised by the presence of a door that glowed with light.

"I'm not dreaming?" he asked himself. The girl was not dreaming, the existence of the door was really right in front of her eyes.

One step, two steps Dyra began to get closer to melt his curiosity. Until finally he stood still in silence right in front of the door.

His curiosity peaked, he wanted to know what was really going on in there. His hand opened the door knob along with a blinding beam of light.

His body seemed to be pulled by a strong wind. Dyra entered it, like a time machine that took him either to the past or the future.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaa!" Dyra shouted as the round of light carried him away.

The sounds of gamelan, gongs and the like are combined together so that it sounds serene to accompany the dances of the beautiful girls who are now twisting their graceful bodies.

The applause from the residents became happiness for the dancers. Because the show is very liked by the audience.

Dyra looked around when he saw a completely unfamiliar area. The place is very foreign, and ancient.

Several people milled past him without even greeting him or even smiling.

"Where the hell is this?" asked Dira.

The name of the address that was written on the wooden board could not be read because it used letters that he did not understand.

Even wanting to ask the way home, Dyra didn't have the courage. He was like a small creature, most people's vision was blurred when he saw him.

"Where am I?" Dyra began to sob in the crowd. However, no one caught his attention.

A couple walked hand in hand, joking with each other and laughing. They are young people who are in love, because it can be seen from their very intimate demeanor.

Dyra's eyes sparkled when he caught the figure of a young couple passing by. The girl wiped the tears that rolled down her cheeks.

"Father!" called Dyra to the man who walked side by side with a girl he didn't know, he was her real father.

However, Dyra's call was ignored like a wind whose presence was never considered. A pair of lovers walked away letting the girl call him again for the umpteenth time.

"Why don't you recognize me?"

Dyra watched the two of them hand in hand. The tall man's face was indeed his father's. However, the girl beside him was not his mother. Likewise with the way his appearance and attitude are different. Was it really not Dyra's father?

His facial skin was still very tight like a teenager in his twenties. Compared to him, they looked like brothers.

"Father! Where's mother?" Dyra asked grabbing the hand of the man he had assured his father.

The girl beside him looked at Dyra who was holding her lover's hand. She seemed frightened, tightening her grip again.

"Father? Mother? Who are you?" he asked, raising his eyebrows in confusion.

Dyra massaged his dizzy temples. He did not understand the world he was stepping on. There was no one he could talk to.

From the face it is very similar to his father, but it could be just a coincidence. Dyra left the two couples, moving places perhaps to meet someone he could trust. Or find someone who looks like his mother.

Dyra walked slowly while looking around the area. The tall buildings he was used to seeing were replaced by the many tenements that were close to each other.

Until his steps stopped in one of the large courtyards, there were many plants of various types. Fruits of various colors and shapes available there filled his eyes. Dyra was flabbergasted when he saw a girl who looked like her mother picking red apples.

"Mother?" Dyra pursed his lips up, apparently his search was not in vain.

Her mother's face almost resembled hers, not even worthy to be called a mother. The two are only a few years apart.

The girl approached her mother who was still faithfully picking apples. He also brought a wicker basket to store all the apples.

"Who are you?" asked the girl Dyra believed her mother greeted.

"I'm Dyra. You know me?"

Dyra tries not to be like when he met his father. His attitude was too enthusiastic, even though the man didn't know him at all.

He shook his head slowly, Dyra exhaled slowly because there was no one he could ask for directions back to his real life.

"Can we be friends?" Dyra asked, holding out his hand intending to shake it.

However, the girl did not respond to Dyra's introduction. Instead, he went back to picking apples, occasionally humming a melody without lyrics.

"I want apples."

The dis looked at him closely and then gave a smile as sweet as sugar until finally an apple was in his hand.

"Eat."

Dyra smiled happily when his mother gave him an apple. Her attitude and sincerity have not changed, the girl is not someone else, but an angel sent down by the universe to give birth to her into the world.

"How old are you?" Dyra asked trying to trace his current confusion.

"Seventeen years."

"Hah?" Dyra was shocked to hear that, no wonder her facial skin was still very tight, there were no signs of premature aging.

"Why?" he asked.

"What year is it now?" Dyra's question broke the light yellow girl's laughter.

"Did you forget? Or can't count the years well? It's 1980. Where have you been?"

Dyra was silent for a moment, his fingers busy counting the years. In fact he was in a past life. Parents are not married, even his father is dating another girl.

The world he stepped on was several dozen years back. At a time when ancient times still exist, and the beliefs of humans are still vacillating to follow the many teachings.

No wonder her parents didn't know Dyra as her daughter. Because it's not right there. A year later, his mother and father will soon be reunited until they reach a sacred bond that promises life and death together.

Dyra was again highlighted by a dazzling glow of light. He crossed his arms so that they covered half of his eyes.

"You are my mother. You will be my mother."

The glow of the light is getting smaller, Dyra must return immediately before the light completely disappears. He ran fast, but the girl who would become his mother in the future grabbed him by the wrist.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

Dyra didn't have time to talk to her mother anymore. He couldn't linger in that past world.

The girl jumped at the light that brought her back to her original place, her room.

"Dyra!" Her mother's voice called from behind the door.

As soon as the door opened, the time machine door that had been near the window had disappeared without a trace.

"Mother! We meet again!" She hugged her mother tightly.
