CHAPTER 04

A brand new Myers’ luxurious clothing store was being inaugurated by the rising star Sofia Myers. Her live-in lover also accompanied her.

Hundreds thronged at the entrance just to see Sofia and to get autographs and selfies. She didn’t give a single autograph or take any selfie until she opened the showroom.

She then stated, “I’ll take selfies with those who buy at least one product from this store.”

Those words were like fuel thrown in fire. Almost everyone rushed into the store and looked for anything they could buy.

Andres was impressed with Sofia. “You really know how to sell stuff.”

“Fufu,” she snorted arrogantly. “Look at them fighting like monkeys to buy things from the store. Fans like them are one of the reasons I became an actress. I only need to do a little bit of good now and then, and they’ll take care of the rest.”

The two of them could hear people not only talking about Sofia but also her father. Hearing praises from them only swelled Sofia’s pride some more.

“Your father, Gregory Myers, is indeed a genius,” Andres said as he entered the store together with her. “Just look around you. You see goggles, jackets, shirts, pants, belts, ties, socks, underpants, and even pillows starting from fifty dollars and ranging all the way up to 15,000 dollars. And this store doesn’t even include the premium suits and stuff that’s sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you ignore the poor, then the rest can all happily buy in whatever price range they wish. Doesn’t that make you feel crazy? To be able to make this possible?”

“Yeah, it does, a little.”

Andres didn’t talk about it, but he knew that the Myers Enterprises were more than just these clothing stores. The family members ran the industrial conglomerate, and he was hoping to at least be appointed as the head of one of the subsidiary companies.

Once Sofia’s fans bought things, she took the effort to sign wherever they wished. She even wrote sentences like ‘I pour my heart out to you,’ and ‘I love you,’ which were very much appreciated by the fans.

It took her three hours, but she signed for every single one who bought something from the store, and nobody honestly expected her to be there for so long. Most of the people who bought the products were being sent out of the store to leave room and breathing space for those inside.

At some point, no new fans came for her signatures. “2183 signatures. That’s my current limit, huh. I need to multiply it over fifty times.”

“Can you put that many signatures, though?” asked Andres.

“Of course, not.”

Just then, a new customer entered the store. A tall handsome blonde with the best hair she ever laid her eyes on. This dude was suffocatingly hot.

Wearing a 650,000 dollars luxurious Myers’ suit, a 1.3 million dollar Myers special edition watch, and 415,000 dollars Myers boots, he was the definition of a premium customer.

“Who the hell is this guy?” Andres couldn’t help but envy him straight away. Even he never wore a suit that costly. The ones that Sofia bought for him typically ranged around ten to twenty thousand dollars. “Is that a La Leon cigar he’s smoking?”

La Leon was one of the world’s most premium cigar brands, with each cigarette priced over a hundred dollars.

Sofia’s attention naturally shifted to this man. (Is he one of my fans?)

The blonde man looked around, and every product, whatever that was left, only made him shake his head.

Wanting to impress his woman, Andres stepped forth and politely asked the blonde man, “Excuse me, if there is anything in particular you’re looking for, I can help you.”

The blonde man looked at him from top to bottom before utterly ignoring him.

(Did he just slight me?) Andres’ veins in the neck bulged, but he had to control himself. “I’m a member of the Myers’ family. So I’m sure I can definitely help you.” He put his hand on the blonde man’s shoulder from behind.

The blonde man slowly turned around and swiftly slapped Andres, shocking him and everyone in the store. “How dare a trash like you touch my suit?”

“I… I’m…” Andres, who considered himself a strong man, felt intimidated all of a sudden. All the hairs on his body stood at their ends.

“Know your place,” saying that, the blonde man walked away in confident strides.

“W-What are the guards doing!” Andres yelled.

The two guards at the gates rushed in, pulled their batons out and whipped at the blonde man. He effortlessly caught both the batons and got under them and twisted the arms of the guards in the process. They howled in pain, and the batons fell from their hands.

“You useless bastards!” Andres gritted his teeth and rushed forth. He grabbed a chair and swung it at the blonde man with all the strength he got.

The blonde man kicked the chair in a way it struck Andres’ face and sent him crashing back. He cringed in pain as his nose poured out blood.

The blonde man adjusted his tie a bit and then ran his fingers through his stylish hair. “If you really are a member of Myers’ family, then the Myers just lost a loyal customer.” He turned and began to walk out of the store.

“Wait,” Sofia called out for him, making him stop and glance over his shoulder. “I apologize in his stead.”

“And who are you?” he asked.

(He didn’t know who I was?) It was a bitter pill for her to swallow, but she quickly smiled and said, “I’m Sofia Myers, the eldest daughter of Gregory Myers.”

“Hmph, at least you seem to have some manners. For your sake, I’ll forget what happened here,” saying that, he walked away.

“Thank you,” Sofia kept the smile playing on her face. However, after the blonde man left, her expression turned serious. She glanced at Andres’ angrily. “You just made ME apologize to some guy I don’t even know.”

“I-I’m sorry,” Andres said and felt shitty that she didn’t even seem to care about the fact that he was bleeding.

“Your sorry is worth nothing,” Sofia strode away angrily.

Andres gritted his teeth. “I’ll never forget this humiliation.” He thought of the blonde man, “Whoever you’re, I’ll humiliate you a hundred times more!”
