The mother of the twins, by the name Victoria, wanted to stop Penelope from exposing that truth to the twins but she felt it was too late to intervene and so she stayed hidden away from their sight.

"What?! You dare to tell us this now?!" Loki got up and screamed.

"There is no way on earth that I will allow an absolute stranger to take everything that rightfully belongs to me and my brother! It will never happen!" Dean shouted.

"I agree that I was young and stupid. I had a child with my husband and he wanted me to abort it because he wasn't ready to have kids. I... I couldn't do it and I abandoned that child in the hands of a different couple in secret. All that doesn't change the fact that he is the heir to everything under the Vandelson family name!" Penelope said to the twins.

The faces of Loki and Dean vividly showed the fire of anger that they catered within themselves.

"No! Everything belongs to me and my brother! That bastard son of yours never grew up among us in the first place and so he has lost his rights to the riches. Who knows if he had turned into a criminal during his stay with whoever! I will not allow this!" Dean shouted.

"As long as you keep your mouth shut about his existence, you will be able to keep out of trouble with us," Loki warned her.

"I cannot let such injustice happen. Trevor Vandelson, a stranger to the family or not, as the first son is the heir to everything. I will not let you cheat him out of it. I will give him the pendant with his name carved and he will come to claim everything." Penelope said to Loki and Dean.

Loki and Dean exchanged looks with each other and then turned to Penelope with an evil smirk on both their faces.

"You are one stupid woman," Loki said. They both pulled out guns and pointed them at Penelope. On seeing that, Victoria gasped and quickly covered her mouth with her hands. Thankfully, they did not hear her.

"Our unknown cousin will not be getting what he doesn't deserve," Loki said to Penelope and both were about to shoot at her but Penelope spoke up before they could.

"If you shoot me, no one will get anything! You will both lose all that you ever had and everything under the Vandelson name will be demolished and burnt down. All this has been fixed by my father and my late husband's father in secret and in court." Penelope said to the twins.

She was a very smart woman and knew that there was no need for her to be the one to give out the pendant. The one who gets it only needed to present it before the judge and the deed would be done. She made sure to keep that detail from the twins and save her life.

Meanwhile, Victoria was already in tears. She wasn't used to watching such things and at the same time she didn't have such a healthy heart to bear it.

"Damn it!" Loki exclaimed.

"Don't worry about it Loki. We will still have our way." Dean said.

"How exactly?" Loki asked Dean, already frustrated.

"We lock her up in her room first and think of our next step," Dean advised Loki and they had this strange look between themselves.

Penelope spotted Victoria hiding in the corner and she took off the pendant around her neck and threw it to where her sister was hiding. Thankfully, the twins only saw the pendant and did not see their mother who was hiding close to it.

While the twins were busy mocking Penelope for a stupid and unreasonable move, Victoria knew what she had to do.

Victoria already knew the address of the son of Penelope because she had been making sure to keep close eyes on him from afar while he grew up.

Quickly, while Loki and Dean were not looking, Victoria picked up the pendant and began to run.

It was only after Victoria entered her car and started it while the gates were already opened for her to leave that the twins noticed that the pendant was no longer in its place.

"What the hell?!" Loki exclaimed, being the first to notice the missing pendant. "Get her locked in a room! Someone just took the pendant!" Loki shouted and ran out of the mansion while Dean took Penelope into her room as fast as he could and locked her in.

Loki, on the other hand, made it out just in time to see his mother's car leaving. Just then, Dean meets Loki outside, "let's go!" Loki shouted as he took his keys from the driver who was approaching him and sat on the driver's seat himself. Dean sat in front with him and they drove after their mother's car in an empty street and the middle of the night.

"Damn that woman!" Dean said as they got closer and closer to Victoria's car. Victoria looked through her side mirror and saw her son driving after her. She increased her speed but they were still catching up with her.

Victoria added even more speed but it was to her downfall because as she did so, Loki purposely slammed his car into the back of Victoria's car. That caused her car to zoom forward even more but go out of the road and crash into a nearby wall.

Victoria got out of the car and went on foot but the moment she turned to see how close the twins were getting, she got shot on the side of her stomach and almost collapsed. She was their mother, how could they do this to her? Little did she know that there was more to their story than just being her sons and businessmen.

Victoria hid quietly in some waste and watched Loki and Dean park next to her crashed car. They stepped out and looked around for her but they couldn't find her.

"Let's split up and cover more ground," Dean said and Loki nodded in agreement. They left and Victoria came out carefully. She found the house she was looking for after much stress and desperately kept on knocking on it. Finally, someone opened up and dragged her in. And that someone was Trevor Vandelson, the only true heir to the Vandelson family wealth and riches.

Who knew someone's life could change in such a flash?
