After a long rainy night, it was morning already, and the early morning crows of the cock was already loud and clear. The East Alley's morning sun has arose and was now bestowing her love upon the the city and its urbanized components.

The sun radiated into the room where Daniel and Laura slept last night, their bedroom to be precised. And due to its morning intensity, together with the power of the sound coming from the cock's crow, Daniel opened his eyes, and found out that it was morning already. He gently sat on his butt and took the hands of Laura away from his lap. He smiled and swallowed in joy the moment he saw her. She was as beautiful as the sun itself. Her cute face and her lips made him feel blessed, but anytime he remembered that he was just a broke man married to a rich woman, he felt really bad, like he didn't deserve her and truly, he doesn't. Based on what and how he felt for her, he didn't want her to suffer any way and so he needed to get rich as soon as possible but how?

While he was still in his sudden thoughts, Laura began to move on the bed and before we knew it, she opened her eyes and used the back of her hands to clear them for proper sight.

"Good morning honey. How are you feeling?" Daniel greeted her immediately, and she smiled. She grabbed his laps and yawned so wide that she looked even more beautiful than before.

"Good morning baby." She replied and tightened her grip on him more than before.

"Shouldn't you be preparing for work? It's past eight already?" Daniel asked, as he noticed how relaxed she was on the bed even though it was morning.

"No. I am not hurrying to work today." Laura said while yawning.

"Umm, why? Company holidays?" Daniel asked in a surprised manner.

Laura smiled, "No. Not company holidays." She said, then got up and sat close to him, resting her head on his shoulders.

  "Our company is having a meeting with the Korean board of directors, and it's going to hold here, in East Alley." She said.

"Ohh, really?" 

"Yup. The board of directors from the head department in Korea will all be here today. So we fixed the time for the meeting to be at noon. And we are having the meeting at Dad's new launched hotel. Isn't that great?" She happily said.

"New launched hotel?" Daniel was shocked to hear that the hotel has been launched. He was aware of the time the hotel was in progress. Infact, he was the architect in charge of the building design and site clearance. How come no one told him about the launching of a thing? He felt bad and you could see it on his face.

"Honey, are you okay?" Laura asked, seeing the mood swing he just had.

Daniel smiled, "Yeah. Everything is fine. It's just that, am shocked." He stared at Laura.

"Shocked? About what?" She asked.

"You know. I was the architect in charge of the building and site clearance, before your dad gave the job to someone else."

"Yeah? How about it?" Laura asked again.

"How come you never told me about the launching stuff?" Daniel said and Laura sighed, rolling her eyes like she was done with life.

"Is that it?" She said with a smile and Daniel raised a brow.

"Yes. You don't see anything wrong about it?" Daniel said.

"Come on honey. Come on. I know what you are thinking. Just shake it off. Come on. You don't have to feel that way all the time, cheer up. I gat you babe. I and my baby gat you." Laura said then smiled.

Daniel on hearing her last words, brought his eyes to the level of her stomach, then he smiled. "You went for the scan?" He asked.

"Uh huh, I did. And guess what. The baby is fine and good. Good thing my belly started shooting out, so I can have a little peace from all those men that tries to get me on my knees." She said while playing with the necklace on Daniels chest.

Daniel laughed, "That sound awful. Trying to get you on your knees? Whoahh."

Laura laughed shortly, "Well forget about that. I have a surprise for you." She said and Daniel remained still for a while.

"A surprise?" He asked, trying hard not too smile.

"Yes, a surprise. Should I show you?"

"Sure. Go ahead and show me." Daniel said and Laura smiled, quickly jumping down from the bed and headed straight to the wardrobe. Daniel watched as she took something out and hid it in her palms so tight. Then she locked the wardrobe and turned around. 

"You will have to close your eyes babe." She said while smiling.

"Ohh God. Would that be necessary?" Daniel said.

Laura nodded her head, "Uh huh. Yep. If you don't feel surprised, then how is it a surprise?" She said and Daniel got her point anyway.

"Alright, alright, fine. But make it real quick okay. I don't want my eyes to go blind for minutes." He said and Laura chuckled.

"Okayy, promise you are not looking?" Laura said.

"Of course I am not. I am literally forcing my eyes to remain close you know. Its been long I did this." He chuckled as well.

"Okay, remain that way." Laura said as she began to walk towards him. She got close to the bed then waved her hands forward to see if he could see. She was still in her night gown and her curvy shape could be seen as she tightens the dress on her body while she made to climb the bed.

Daniel felt it when she got on the bed, but he had to remain that way. Laura got on the bed, then slowly lowered herself to sit. When she was completely okay, she opened her hands and placed the object on Daniels palms and smiled at him.

"Alright. You can open your eyes now." She said and Daniel quickly opened his eyes. For some minute's, his eyes were kinda dark and blurry, but after 2-3 minutes, his sight was restored and he could see a piece of paper in his hands, but didn't open it.

"What is this?" He asked.

"Open it." Laura said softly with a smile.

"Open it?" Daniel asked again to be sure, and Laura nodded her head with a smile.

"Okay?" Daniel silently said as he stared at the piece of paper in his hands and decided to open it. He took the paper in his right hands and slowly opened it and on reading the contents of the paper, his eyes was widened in shock and he gave a wide surprised stare to Laura while she kept smiling at him.

  "Is this? Is this real?" Daniel asked and Laura nodded again with a smile on her beautiful face.

"That's a cheque of $15000. I want you to use it to start up something for yourself, for us. Am tired of you getting bullied at all times by my parents and, I don't want that anymore honey. So that's why I decided to take this from the company, besides, am the CEO." She chuckled "And also, I know your mom is seriously ill." 

"You do?" Daniel asked, surprised.

"Yes, I do know your mom is very ill. I overheard you speaking to your friend about it, so I decided to do this for us." Laura said and Daniel grabbed her hands.

"I, I don't, I don't seriously know what to say right now, am, am overwhelmed with joy. Thank you. I, I really appreciate this laura." Daniel smiled as he spoke to her.

"It's okay. Now you need to get prepared. We have the meeting by 1:00 Pm on the dot, and I want you to be there, as my husband. You need to be there." Laura said as she wrapped her hands around his neck while he held her waist.

"Sure, I will be there. I promise." Daniel smiled and she kissed him on his lips before backing out almost immediately.

"I love you." Laura said.

"I love you more." Daniel said, planting a kiss on her forehead.

MEANWHILE, 

unknown to Daniel and Laura, while they were busy talking in their room the whole time, Laura's mom was standing outside their door, listening to all their conversations, and when they were done, she smiled in anger, then left.

Mr Ayo was seen in his room, busy with some files that he needed to sign before the meeting time. He was still dressed in his night wears and he had a radio close too him on the bed as he signed the papers a accordingly. But his attention was taken away from his work when the door was banged open and he saw his wife walking in with so much anger in her, and he sighed.

"Now what is it this time?" He softly asked.

"You won't believe what I just heard and saw." His wife said and Mr Ayo raised his head to look at her.

"What is the matter honey?" Mr Ayo was so anxious to hear her speak.

"I was trying to go do the laundry when I heard Laura and her good for nothing husband discussing about some issue of the company. I was curious, so I got closer to get more information. And when I got close, I heard that Daniel was appreciating Laura for giving him a cheque of $15000!" She anxiously explained, and when her husband heard the huge amount of money, he slowly widened his eyes, dropped his pen and closed the papers he was about to sign.

"Did you just say, $15000?" He asked

"You heard me right honey, $15000, I wonder where she got that huge amount of Cash to give too him. Am so worried right now. Is she trying to turn against us? Is Daniel trying to turn our only child against us?"

Mr Ayo kept thinking of what to say, or better still, what to do. He was so angry that his daughter had grown so big not too inform him about the money she takes from the company savings. She was now the CEO anyway, but his company money should not go into the hands of that scallywag. He hated that boy for no reason and he was pleased with it.

"Honey, you aren't saying anything at all. What is your conclusion to this?" His wife asked.

"Don't worry, I have everything under control. As for the money, I will take it back, trust me when i say trust me." Mr Ayo said and his wife sighed.

"I just wished she never got married to this dumbass, I mean, what kind of a man is he? Accepting a lot of cash from his woman?" 

"Get me my phone, I need to make some calls. That bastard needs to leave our lives for good. Yes, he needs to, and am gonna make him." Mr Ayo said and his wife stared at him in shock.

"What are your plans?" She asked, but he only smiled.

"Just watch" He said, and his wife tilted her head with a sigh.

Few hours later, Daniel was seen walking out from one of the newly constructed banks in East Alley with a breifcase in his right hand. He was neatly dressed in his best suit, and had his favorite shoes on. His hairs were neatly brushed as well and he smiled the moment he realized he was close to success. He was going to establish a lot with this cash and he knew it was going to be successful. Being an architect, he plans on establishing a building organisation as well, as it has been his dreams after he graduated from school and he wanted to fulfill that dream now. 

He got close to the expressway and stood close to some people who were also trying to get a cab. His phone rang and he quickly brought it out from his pocket and smiled the moment he saw the name of the caller. Without hesitation, he answered, then placed the phone on his ear.

"Hello honey." He said. And smiled for some minutes, "Yeah, I just got out from the bank now. It was stressful though, but I got it within an hour." He smiled. Then as he raised his head to look at the people behind him, he noticed some unfamiliar men, standing behind him and he instantly got worried. 

  "Umm, honey, let me call you back." He said then hung up immediately.

His heart was now beating fast as he was sure that these men were obviously here for something. He decided to leave that spot, but each time he moved to another spot, the men also moved together with him, and he instantly knew what was happening. Without waiting to be told what to do, Daniel held the briefcase tightly in his hands and began to walk forward to an open area, but as he turned around and noticed that the men were following up, he began to run at his top speed and the men raced at him immediately, as they were all dressed in black overalls and black boots.
