Chapter 2

Nothing special happened on the first day of college. Rex had expected it because people tended to stay away from him. He was wearing a shirt and pants that were almost faded in color. From his appearance, people must have thought that he came from a poor family.

Rex was also sure that sooner or later someone would bully him like before. Still, he hoped to make normal friends with some people at college. He thought of his plan as he walked toward his department class.

Because he was too focused on daydreaming, Rex did not pay attention to the road and bumped into someone. His mouth was tightly shut in fascination with the person he bumped into. That person was a girl with brown hair and shining hazel eyes.

“Gosh, I’m sorry! Are you all right?”

It should be Rex’s dialogue. He was guilty of having bumped into someone. However, the girl instead became the one to apologize, even though she do nothing. The girl looked worried when she saw him pick up his books, which had fallen to the ground.

“You don’t need to help me,” Rex said before the girl crouched down to help him. Then he stood up after taking all his books. He cleared his throat awkwardly and said, “I’m sorry for bumping into you.”

“I was wrong for walking while playing with my cell phone. If I don’t do that, then you won’t hit me either,” the girl replied with a sweet smile.

Rex blinked in disbelief because he was rarely treated well. For a moment, he thought about making the brunette girl his friend. He threw those thoughts away because the girl had a beautiful face and perfect body shape, the type of person who would be the attention center.

Popular people were not a match for Rex, who did not even know fashion. They would get embarrassed if they were friends with him. Therefore, Rex decided not to have a relationship with the girl. He should approach someone who had the same condition as him.

“I-I have to go. I’m sorry for bumping into you,” Rex said with a bow and would have left immediately if someone did not hold his hand.

It turned out that the girl was holding his hand with a curious expression. “Would you like to go to a Business Management class? I’m just guessing because it looks like you’re walking that way.”

“That’s right. I’m a Business Management student,” Rex replied nervously as his hand was gripped tightly.

“Wow, what a coincidence! I’m also a student in that department and will be going there with my friend. Unfortunately, she texted me that she had gone there with someone else.”

“You have to make a promise first so your friend doesn’t misunderstand.”

The girl pouted and then asked, “Would you like to go there with me? After all, we have the same destination.”

Rex blinked a few times, trying to guess if he had an ear problem. He was very surprised, as this was the first time someone had offered to go with him. It seemed that the girl had a good personality and did not judge people by their appearance.

“Alright, let’s go together,” Rex said after some thought.

The answer made the girl smile happily and pulled Rex to walk beside her. They went to class holding hands. Neither of them tried to release the grip. Rex was too embarrassed to ask because she seemed comfortable holding his hand.

“By the way, what’s your name? You haven’t introduced yourself yet,” Rex told hesitantly, afraid he might offend the girl.

However, his fear did not happen because the girl still showed a friendly expression. “I forgot to introduce myself because I was too excited. My name is Chelsea Fox and I’m from Asteria City.”

“Asteria City? Oh, my god! I’m from there too.”

“That’s quite a coincidence. Are you really from there?”

Rex nodded enthusiastically. He no longer felt nervous because he was relaxed with this topic of conversation. “I lived in Asteria City for three years and finished my high school education there,” he explained.

“I went to an all-girls school and rarely saw boys. But now I have to adapt because there are a lot of boys at this university. I moved here because of my parents’ job. How about you?”

“The university gave me a scholarship, and I accepted it because it’s a rare opportunity. You must know that Struthia University is the best in our country.”

Chelsea glanced briefly at Rex, who explained while smiling happily. Then she smiled and exclaimed, “You’re awesome, Rex! To get into this university, I had to study hard. You must study harder than me so you can get a scholarship.”

“Thank you very much. I don’t as great as you can imagine,” said Rex, almost exploding with happiness.

“What kind of nonsense is that? It’s obvious that you are a genius!”

“You’re exaggerating too much, haha.”

Rex and Chelsea continued to talk until they arrived at class. Since that day, they have become close friends. Then, as Rex once thought, Chelsea indeed became the center of attention in their department. The girl’s good influence made people not dare to bully him.

This comforting college life would not have continued without Chelsea’s help. Therefore, Rex planned to take the girl to hang out. He also secretly liked Chelsea and wanted to confess his feelings today.

After class finished, Rex approached Chelsea, who greeted him with a sweet smile. He suddenly felt nervous and wanted to cancel his plans. However, he ventured because he did not want other men to get ahead of him.

“D-do you want to go out with me?” asked Rex, unable to control his trembling voice.

Chelsea directly nodded and grabbed Rex’s hand. “Finally, you asked me out! I wanted to ask you out a few days ago, but I was afraid to say it.”

“Huh? Why do you want to ask me out?”

“That’s because you were my first friend at university. I wanted to treat you in return.”

The nervousness in Rex’s mind instantly vanished upon hearing those words. It turned out that Chelsea had the same desire, so he did not have to be nervous. “Then let’s go tonight. How about it?” he asked.

“That’s a great idea! Let’s meet at the bus stop near the university tonight,” replied Chelsea, releasing her grip from Rex’s hand and then leaving with a sweet smile.

That night, Rex came to the bus stop first because he did not want to make Chelsea wait. How shocked he was when he saw a red luxury car stop in front of him and Chelsea got out of the car.

“Why are you so surprised? I purposely choose this car to pick you up,” Chelsea spoke as she forced Rex into the car.

After they both entered the car, Chelsea showed Rex her cellphone screen. “I told the driver to come to this restaurant. What do you think?”

Rex lost words because the restaurant Chelsea had chosen would cost him a lot of money. The price of the food there was more expensive than the clothes he was wearing right now. He never expected Chelsea would take him to that restaurant.

“Why are you silent? It seems you don’t like my choice.” Chelsea looked sad when she said it.

“That’s not true. I don’t have enough money to go to that restaurant,” said Rex, looking both nervous and embarrassed.

All this time, Chelsea had never shown that she came from a wealthy family. She always wore normal clothes to college and her stuff was not from a famous brand. However, tonight the girl came in a luxury car and chose an expensive restaurant.

This fact surprised Rex. He thought Chelsea came from an ordinary family. If he knew the girl was rich, then he would raise money first before asking her out.

“Why are you talking about money?” Chelsea spoke again while stroking Rex’s hand. “The bill is on me.”

At first, Rex wanted to refuse Chelsea because he felt uncomfortable if the girl paid for his food. However, he could not refuse after being persuaded several times by Chelsea. In the end, they had dinner at the restaurant.

“I’ve booked a hotel. Would you like to go there with me?”

Rex choked when he heard the question. They had just come out of the restaurant and Chelsea was asking a strange question. He hesitantly replied, “I-I don’t know. Can we go there?”

“My dad had some business at the hotel and asked me to come over. You just need to wait a moment,” Chelsea explained with a smile.

The girl was sure that Rex would not be able to refuse if she smiled sweetly. Her assumption was not wrong, because Rex was willing to go to the hotel with her. When they got there, she did something they had never talked about before.

“I want you to know that I already like you,” Chelsea said as she forced Rex to sit on the edge of the bed. Then her hand traced the young man’s body. “Rex, can you undress for me?”

Chelsea’s sensual voice created embarrassment and nervousness in Rex’s mind. He never thought something like this would happen to him. Although he was a little hesitant, in the end, he slowly took off his clothes.

When Rex was about to take off his pants, suddenly the room door opened, and several people entered. The world fell apart at that moment when he found out the people were his bullies at high school.

Rex looked at Chelsea for an explanation. However, the girl instead gave him a disdainful look and laughed loudly. Instantly he knew that Chelsea was teaming up with the bullies to humiliate him!
