“Please, come with me sir,” Charlotte’s PA said after giving the guard a dressing down for not being discerning before she guided Jason in. Jason knew why she looked familiar now. He had seen her the first day but she had only quietly taken down notes that day. He had not heard a word from her. She looked different today though.

Her fierce tone seemed like something she had picked from her boss and her presence was commanding enough for someone who was the personal assistant of the CEO. She pressed the button on the elevator and stepped aside for Jason to get in before following him inside.

“Where is she?” Jason asked immediately the buzzing sound of the elevator indicated its movement.

“She was rounding up a meeting when she sent me down here, sir. She should be through by now, I believe.”

There was something about her voice, even though she looked everything like an Englishwoman, her accent begged to differ.
