When Liam gets to the country club, people start moving out of his way. Afraid that they might suffer the same fate as the Graysons for just looking at him.

‘’Good afternoon Mr. Tate,’’ the woman at reception greets him with a smile.

‘’Hello…’’ Liam reads her name tag. Annabeth.

She gives a bigger smile.

‘’Is it Laura’s day off today?’’ he asks.

‘’No, she called in sick.’’

‘’Hmm.’’ Liam nods. ‘’Send her my wishes.’’

Liam walks over to the bar, orders a drink, and asks the barman to send someone out on the golf course so they can continue serving him drinks. He then points at a caddie, who takes up a golf bag and hurries after him.

In one drink, Liam finishes his strong liquor and hands the glass to a server passing by.

When Liam gets to the first hole, he swings his club but misses. But he doesn’t mind because he is only doing the swinging to let off steam.

But after three more swings, Liam manages to hit the ball, and, to his surprise, it goes in the hole.
