CHAPTER 34

Viola’s elbow was badly injured, but before Russell could ask what happened, Jennifer howled, “Look what your ex-lover did to your sister.” Her eyes were on flames, and she frothed at her mouth with fury.

“What happened?” Russell hurriedly asked Viola with a stressful face as he checked her wound. He wanted to hear from his sister and not from Jennifer whose words he couldn’t trust.

“I went to Natasha’s house,” Viola explained, hissing between sentences because of the pain, “to tell her to stop talking badly about you on social media. She… She slapped me, and I fell down the stairs… and this happened.” Viola saw her badly bruised arm near the elbow. She had never suffered an injury like this, and it made her very nervous and uneasy. “Her fiance, Denver, was also there, and he was laughing hard. It was humiliating.”
