Chapter 06: Brutal

CHAPTER 06: BRUTAL

His belongings were recovered by his father during the incident, he opened his phone and saw his mother’s messages, one by one he read the text, as his tears were falling in his eyes.

‘Where are you? Please, come home, I think there’s someone downstairs,’

‘Sweetheart? Please, if you’re there, help me,’

‘The person is now coming upstairs, please,’

‘Take care, Son, I love you'

He wiped his tears as he read the texts, he should be blaming himself, he should have checked his phone and driven carefully, he should have been more responsible.

Sobs escaped his mouth, covering his mouth, and he groaned in pain.

“I promise to punish him for you, Mom,” He whispered and looked at the picture of them hugging his mother while they were smiling brightly.

He dialed his assistant’s number that was in his contacts.

After a few rings, Kevin picked up his call. “What’s up, Boss?” Kevin asked him, he didn’t mind if he talked to him casually. “I need you to find someone, please report to me immediately,” He said. “Okay, Boss!” Kevin answered, he then ended the call and leaned on his bed.

He then glanced at his bed, the pictures he scattered earlier. He took the one-piece picture and stared at it. It’s his ex-wife laughing while hugging her Director– Henry. He crumpled the paper and then gritted his teeth in anger.

“Wait for me, I’ll make sure there will be hell o a price to pay,” He said and closed his eyes.

The day started and he is doing his best to recover. The pain in his legs is now more bearable than before. He groaned in pain as he tried to lift his left leg, Alyana is beside him, guiding him.

“Careful, Mr. Anderson,” She said and guided him, he stepped his legs and closed his eyes, a tear escaped his eyes and his forehead was wet because of the sweat.

“You’re almost there, one more step,” Alyana said, he huffed and raised his left leg. He gripped the cane tighter after advancing forward. “Good job!” Alyana yelled. He smiled and wiped the bullet of sweat on his forehead.

“Mr. Anderson,” Kevin’s voice from the door. “Here’s the record, I asked for Mr. Jack and he gave me this, I also have a lead,” Kevin said, reaching for the folder that Kevin handed him.

“Thanks,” He said, Kevin, nodding his head. He sat on the couch and opened the folder. He saw pictures of the scenes where his mother was murdered, he can picture how brutally his mother was killed.

He closed his eyes and tried not to get emotional. “Fuck!” He uttered a curse. He opened his eyes again and took a look at the papers. “Son,” He heard Mr. Anderson’s voice. His father entered the room, and behind him was his assistant. His father is wearing a suit.

“It’s your last day of the funeral, the Alonso went here begging me, what should we do? Your turn to make a choice, son,” His father said, tilting his head. “How was the hunt for mother’s killer?” He asked instead. “He’s in the run, but don’t worry, my men are in search of the murderer,” He just nodded his head.

“Your wife– ex-wife is desperate, the scandal has been going around the news and internet, his lover left her and her career is damaged,” His father told him, and he grinned.

“Thanks, father,” He said, at least he's making them miserable. It’s enough for now– It will be his turn, just a little more.

They wrapped the session with a few reminders and tips from Alyana. He took a mental note, he should recover fast.

After dinner, he practiced with the cane, wearing a sando and pajamas. He slowly took little steps with the help of his cane. “Fuck it! Ugh!” He cursed after taking a few steps, his legs aching.

He sat on the sofa and leaned there, his legs and hips aching. He should not overdo it. Drinking a glass of water when he decided to take a peek at his phone, he pulled his phone out and unlocked it. He opened the news and searched for his ex-wife’s name.

Tyron saw the scandal, and rumors about his wife and how she was criticized and judged by people online.

He worries about the child– of course, the child is innocent and should not be punished for his mother’s wrong actions. He sighed heavily and lock the phone, tossing it on the sofa.

Tyron tried to stand up again, putting his strength on the cane as support before starts walking again towards the bed. He sat on the bed when he finally reached it. A loud groan filled his room because of the pain.

When he finally settled on the bed, he close his eyes and let himself drown to sleep.

Morning came, and he had another set of sessions for his recovery. This went on for weeks and every week, he is getting better, the best ever.

Alyana gave him the rope, and with little but steady jumps, he huff air before jumping.

“You’re doing great Mr. Alonso,” Alyan complimented him, he can now walk steadily– thanks to Alyana’s help. “Thanks to you,” He said, Alyana is Alonso’s personal therapist for physical recoveries. “It’s your determination that helped you reach where you are right now,” Ayana said with a little smile on her face. He just shakes his head and drinks the juice.

Dinner when he finally joined his father, after taking a bath and wearing something appropriate for dinner, he went down the stairs. He can hear the maids whispering but bowing their heads when he looks at them, his facial features got toned because of the workouts and proper diet.

When he reached the dining area, he saw his father with his lawyer and assistant, settled on the dining chair with a smile on their faces.

“Now, Now! Good to see you up and walking, son!” Mr. Jack Alonso enthusiastically said. He just smiled in response and sat on the chair next to his father’s.

“Thanks, father, I should be thankful to Miss. Alyana, she helped me a lot,” He said, his father nods his head. “Well, we should but it’s good to see you here son,” His father answered him, the dinner was already set, and his father and his assistant talked, with his lawyer.

“Son, you can ask Mr. Hayes for help if you need legal advice and anything that has to do with law,” His father said, he nods his head and finished his food quietly. After dinner, they had a bottle of beer together, he can see his father’s genuine smile toward his assistant and lawyer. Kevin said they are his scholars and his father mentored them, gave them a name that they earned, and keep it clean but his brother didn’t, he instead rebels against his father and went the opposite direction.

He wonders, where is his brother right now.
