MURDERERS

"Aunty, I want to ask you somet….." She cut me off.

"Yeah, spill it and get out of my face already," she complained as she was busy scrolling on her cellphone.

I pressed my lips tightly together. Who the hell does she think she is?

"What do you want to say already?!" She yelled as she stood up from the couch.

I then raised my hand and stretched it towards her. I tried imagining bringing out the red arrow from my palms; in a split second, the arrow came out of my hand.

"Hey, why are you pointing your hand at me? What the hell do you think you are doing?" She asked with her eyebrows twisted together.

I quickly shot her in the chest with the red arrow, before she could say another word. Before I knew it, my aunt fell backwards and landed on the couch behind her, it was like the arrow hit her in the chest physically.

"You did it, now she is going to do anything you tell her," Mordecai said from behind the couch.

"You mean, that is all it takes for me to control someone?" I inquired.

"Yes," he responded.

I shifted my gaze over to my aunt on the couch. She stood up and looked at me.

"Sorry Trevor, sorry for what happened; I love you, Trevor," she said as she walked closer to me and grabbed my face. She stared deeply into my eyes, it started to creep me out, My aunt has never looked at me this way before, and she has also never told me she loved me before. I think the red arrow worked.

"Why are you telling me sorry?" I inquired, still staring at her.

"Forgive me Trevor, my husband and I were the ones that killed your family, I swear I didn’t want to do it, but my husband was the one that planned everything," She responded as tears dripped down her face.

My eyes and mouth opened wide. What? Mordecai was telling the truth; my aunt and uncle were the ones that killed my entire family. I can’t believe they did something that terrible.

My aunt collapsed on the floor in front of me as she bowed her head.

"I would never want to hurt you, Trevor, I didn’t want to kill your entire family, but my husband was the one that insisted we do it and if I didn’t comply with his plans, he would have still done it," She said in a sobbing tone as her tears filled the floor. This is fucking unbelievable. Why would my aunt and uncle even think of doing such a thing in the first place? Does that mean they value money more than anything?

I was speechless as I gazed at my aunt on the floor.

I heard sounds coming from the front door, and the next thing I knew, my uncle had entered the living room. His name is Peter Martins; he was a man that was in his late 50s, he was short, fat, and had red hair; he was my late dad’s junior and only brother.

"What the hell is going on here? Why is my wife crying on the floor?" He asked in a rumbling tone as his voice echoed throughout the room.

My aunt stood up from the floor and dashed over to where my uncle was standing, and grabbed his collar.

"You are the one that planned everything, you are the one that took Trevor’s happiness away from him!" She yelled as she held on to his shirt collar tightly.

She started saying all sorts of things, like how my uncle was the one who planned to kill my dad because he wanted to inherit all his property and money and she also said how they made the car explode with my entire family in it. after a few moments.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Brittney? Why are you saying all these things in front of Trevor?! Have you lost your mind?" He shouted as he slapped her hard on the face. She fell on the floor and hit her head.

She got up from the floor and sat down on the floor.

"You hitting me won’t stop me from telling Trevor the truth about all the things you did," She said in low tone as she wiped away the blood that was dripping down from her mouth.

I was just standing behind them and not doing or saying anything, I was burning with a lot of anger inside of me. I twisted my fists into tight balls.

"Uncle tell me, did you let me live just to get your insurance?" I asked in low tone as I raised my head and stared at him. I wanted to also confirm this, just to be sure that Mordecai was accurate.

"It was his idea too, he told me he wanted one of his brother’s kids to live so that he could use that person for the insurance and you were the one he choose. The insurance company paid for us to take you in," my aunt said in high-pitched voice as she was still sitting on the floor.

My uncle walked over and swiftly grabbed my aunt from the floor and gave her a resounding slap around the face.

"Shut your mouth woman!" He yelled. My aunt fell on the floor again.

“How dare you betray me you bitch!” He yelled in anger as he glared at her on the floor.

So, my uncle actually kept me alive just so he could get money from insurance company, this man is a terrible human being. How does he live with himself after doing all these terrible things? The both of them did all those things for money.

“God, the both of you are monsters!” I yelled at the top of my lungs.

“You guys don’t care about anyone!” I fell on my knees and started crying. Discovering all this is too much and heart breaking for me.
