Chapter 21: Take off your clothes
Chapter 21“What do you think you're doing, Charlie?” Rachel was yelling at him while striding behind him as they headed out. “We can't possibly do this to us just because you lent us a thousand dollars. It's unfair.”Charlie didn't halt. He didn't even turn to reply to her. When he finally got out of the compound, he then paused, turned, and looked at her. “Do you have the money with you to pay me back now? If you do, then pay me and you'll be free. But if you don't and also don't want to comply, I'll go back inside, take back my money, and leave both of you to face what awaits you.”Rachel bites her lips, unable to speak. “So are you ready to come with me in peace?” Erika, with a tightened expression, marched forward. “So where are you taking us to?” “You'll get to know, don't worry.” Charlie walked to the road and flagged down a cab. “Don't just stand there, you two. Get in and let's go,” he called out to Rachel and Erika. They both hesitated, their fingers fidgeting with the
Chapter 22: Charlie Disgraces Erika and Rachel
Chapter 22 Erika and Rachel froze for a moment at Charlie's cold voice, their eyes fixed on him with irritation. Never in their lives had they expected a day like this to come. “Are you going to take them off or not?” Charlie said, his voice sharp, snapping them out of their thoughts. Erika glared at him. “We will please,” Rachel replied, her voice trembling. “Then do it.” Erika and Rachel both hesitated. Taking a deep breath, their hands started to shake as they began to unzip their trousers, their minds filled with anxiety. Charlie stood there, watching them with blank expressions. They both paused simultaneously, staring at Charlie in disbelief. They were expecting him to stop them, but he wasn't saying a word. His eyes were occupied with anticipation, as if eager to see their nakedness. Their hearts pounded heavily. They couldn't imagine how to face Charlie in the future if they ended up sleeping with him in bed tonight. “Keep going. Don't stop,” Charlie spoke agai
Chapter 23: Charlie Sleeps in the Corridor
Chapter 23 Charlie turned around and his face contorted with disgust as he took in the figure approaching him from behind, his step deliberately slow. The man is tall, his appearance shimmering under the night lights. This man was no other than Mr. Paul Robert, Charlie's next-door neighbor. Because of the little money he had, he felt like he was above everyone in the compound since no one had as much money as he did. Charlie had a beef with him for this. Because he had intentionally humiliated an elderly woman a certain time. Charlie sighed exasperatedly. “What are you doing outside at this time of night?” Paul smirked smugly. “I should be asking you that,” he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. “Where's a pathetic neighbor like you coming from?” Charlie glared at him. “Mind your words!” He said, clutching his fist. But after a moment, he huffed and added. “I've got no time to waste with you.” With that, he started to walk toward his landlady's door, but then Paul utter
Chapter 24: The Challenge
Chapter 24 The day broke and the next morning came. A door cracked open, and the sound of footsteps was heard as a figure started walking out of a room. It was Charlie's landlady. As she walked, her eyes suddenly caught a glimpse of a figure who lay on the ground almost in front of her doorstep. Unknown to her, it was Charlie, her tenant. He was fast asleep, his body coiled, as if being protective of the cold weather. Suddenly a scream escaped her lips, loud and trembling with fear. “Thief! Someone help me!” She shouted, running outside. Soon, everywhere was surrounded by people, their faces filled with curiosity and worry. “What happened?” “Are you all right?” “What's it, ma?” Paul rushed to her and asked. “Where's the thief?” The landlady pointed in the direction, her hand shaking as she stammered, her voice still breaking. “He's right there. Yes, right there. I saw him. Get him out.” Paul placed a hand on her, trying to calm her down, his eyes darting in the directi
Chapter 25: Charlie gives Paul his words
Chapter 25 His landlady was unwilling to answer, staring at Charlie in disbelief. To her, he was just uttering big talk. For the past years, she had studied him very well, and she knew Charlie wasn't capable of what he was saying. Seeing her hesitation, Charlie shook his head slightly. “There's no need to be reluctant. Just give your word, and I will transfer it to you right away.” “Oh, stop bragging here, poor brat,” Paul interjected, his arrogance growing. “Even the landlady is aware you can't afford it, that's why she's keeping silent. Heh.” Turning around, Paul glanced at the landlady and added, “Just agree, and let's see what he'll do.” The landlady seemed reluctant too. Although she hated the fact that Charlie hadn't paid his rent, she didn't want to see him get humiliated in front of everyone. “Charlie, please, just put off this act and leave. Stop trying to humiliate yourself in front of everyone.” She sighed helplessly. “But it's fine. I agree.” “Yes, she just
Chapter 26: Paul begs
Chapter 26 Not up to five minutes after Charlie's words dropped, a sleek black Rolls-Royce glided into the compound, its tires new and smooth. Eyes turned toward the direction, mouths opening slightly. A knowing smile escaped Charlie's lips as he watched the car park in a spot. Paul, who was once arrogant, seemed to pause, his body slowly shaking. Who's that? He muttered, becoming terrified. He secretly looked at Charlie, who stayed relaxed, his eyebrows rising in confusion. Are they here because of the call he made? And who's he that in the blink of an eye, they're here? Soon, a tall figure emerged from the car, his appearance alone, able and efficient enough to frighten one to death or even piss or shit on oneself. Rushing forward, the formidable man fell down on his head, bowing his head to the ground. “Young master Charlie, I'm Rick Wise. Mr. Donald sent me to rescue you. Who's that maniac daring you? Just point at the person, and their bones will be shattered.” Up
Chapter 27: Charlie Trends
Chapter 27 Everyone gasped, terrified, frigid sweat visible on their faces. Charlie watched with a cold expression, showing no pity. After a short moment of glancing down at the fallen tooth, he looked up and asked Rick. “Is that all the tooth he has got? Count them to confirm or otherwise, look into his mouth, and if any is left, take them out.” Rick bowed slightly. “Noted, young master Charlie,” he answered as he charged forward again. Paul, groaning from where he had crashed, blood dripping from his mouth, crawled on his knees and grabbed Charlie's foot, still begging. “Please, spare me, sir. Don't take all my teeth away. Leave the remaining ones I have left so I can chew meat at least, please, I'm begging you.” “How dare you beg young master Charlie for mercy now! You were privileged to lick his shoes, but you cockily refused and you dare beg him for mercy now? I can see you have a death wish,” Rick interrupted, his face stern. Rick yanked and seized him by the neck,
Chapter 28: Class Group Chat
Chapter 28 “This is unbelievable! Charlie, the trash picker, beating Franklin down?” Another comment dropped. The narrative began to change. “Don't you all think Charlie is a secret heir, trying to stay low-key?” “I'm beginning to suspect that as well! There's something we aren't being told here! Where's Charlie even? He isn't saying a word.” “Maybe he isn't online.” Charlie couldn't help but chuckle softly when he saw the last comment. Just then, another message with a photo attached, suddenly landed in the group, causing thousands of reactions. It was a photo of Franklin kneeling to lick Charlie's shoes, sent by Duke, Charlie's friend. That night, at dinner, Duke had discreetly recorded the scene and had perfectly captured that moment when Franklin crouched to lick Charlie's shoes. He hated Franklin for always humiliating his best friend, Charlie, and also for snatching his girlfriend from him. And to get back at him, he decided to send the photo to the class g
Chapter 29: Charlie Warns
Chapter 29Soon, the class ended that afternoon, and after the lecturer left, murmurs began to fill the air as students packed their bags and started to leave.Everyone was discussing the subject in the group in a low voice, afraid to let their voices be heard, as they feared being beaten up by Franklin's gang.Ignoring the mumblings, Duke, with a calm expression, started to walk outside with Charlie as if he hadn't done anything. But just when he stepped outside, a muscular figure stood in front of him, blocking his path. “Why the rush, kid?” He asked mockingly.Duke's heart skipped as he glanced up to see Logan standing in front of him and his boys, surrounding him like a thief with a wicked smirk on their faces.“W—What's the meaning of this? Out of my way, you all!” He shouted, trying to sound brave, but his words betrayed his fear. His voice cracked, knowing why Logan was here. Soon, the place was filled with students curious to watch the scene.“I think Logan's trying to get
Chapter 30: Logan and his men runs away.
Chapter 30 Charlie stepped forward, ignoring all the eyes on him as if he had committed the biggest crime in the universe. His expression was calm as he approached. “What do you think you're doing?” Duke rushed forward and scolded Charlie in a low voice. “This is my cross to carry, you don't need to intervene.” “Your cross?” Charlie scoffed lowly, shaking his head. “It's ours. If they must hit you, they've to first face me.” Duke felt a surge of emotion, touched by Charlie’s unwavering support. However, he hesitated, whispering. “But just the two of us can't stand them. Logan and his gang members are powerful, let's look for a way and run away.” Charlie disagreed. “No, I'm going nowhere. I can't chicken out, acting like a coward because of these rifles. You can run away, but I'll stand to face them myself,” he said boldly. Without waiting for a response, Charlie turned and glanced up at Logan, uttering. “No, you can't. He's my friend, and I won't let you touch him.” Log
