Chapter 21
“What do you think you're doing, Charlie?” Rachel was yelling at him while striding behind him as they headed out. “We can't possibly do this to us just because you lent us a thousand dollars. It's unfair.” Charlie didn't halt. He didn't even turn to reply to her. When he finally got out of the compound, he then paused, turned, and looked at her. “Do you have the money with you to pay me back now? If you do, then pay me and you'll be free. But if you don't and also don't want to comply, I'll go back inside, take back my money, and leave both of you to face what awaits you.” Rachel bites her lips, unable to speak. “So are you ready to come with me in peace?” Erika, with a tightened expression, marched forward. “So where are you taking us to?” “You'll get to know, don't worry.” Charlie walked to the road and flagged down a cab. “Don't just stand there, you two. Get in and let's go,” he called out to Rachel and Erika. They both hesitated, their fingers fidgeting with the hems of their dress, as if considering what they were about to do. How can one man have two best friends in bed? A pathetic trash picker at that. An abomination. However, getting $5k to pay Charlie back was something they couldn't afford at that moment, so, hesitating, Rachel gritted her teeth, then sluggishly slid into the car. Erika followed subsequently in the same manner. Ten minutes later. The cab arrived at the Maple City hotel, where Charlie had instructed the driver. The bar wasn't a well-known place, and it was a place where Charlie had always seen people go whenever he returned from school. He has never been there before either. Since it wasn't far and the night was getting dark already, he thought it would be nice to come here. “This…..how dare you bring us to such a dump place as this?” Erika yelled at Charlie as she stepped out of the car, taking in the place. Rachel glared at Charlie but said to Erika. “Let's use it, I think it's safe since no one knows here.” Erika's eyes rolled, pondering over Rachel's words. She was making sense. But her fierce stare stayed on Charlie, who had just finished settling the cab driver. “Listen, no one must hear about this, or I'll kill you! And once we're in the room, no kissing. Just get over it quickly. After that, we'll pretend nothing happened.” Charlie just smiled lightly, however, he didn't utter a word. He walked straight to the receptionist's desk to book a room to be used. The receptionist looked him up to down, her eyes filled with irritation. She swallowed hard before greeting. “Good evening, how may we help you?” Charlie, with his hand placed on the table casually, answered. “Is there any room available? I want to book one just for the night.” Just then Rachel and Erika walked in, standing behind Charlie, their eyes scanning the place with disdain. With the way they stood, the receptionist could tell they were waiting for Charlie, and she wondered if the two beautiful ladies were really going with this shabbily dressed man. Impossible. Despite her disdain and doubt, she went ahead to tell Charlie the price for a room per night and he gave her a curt nod, telling her to proceed. She hesitantly carried on, and a few minutes later, she was done. Charlie's card was successfully swiped, and payment was made. The receptionist then pulled out a key card and handed it to Charlie. “The room upstairs at your left. Room 020 that's it.” “Thank you,” Charlie accepted it and without delay, he started walking toward the room. Erika and Rachel reluctantly followed him. Getting to the door, Charlie unlocked it with the key card, pushed it open, stepped in, and then looked at both friends. “Why are you two standing there? Get in and let's get this done. There's no time.” He said. Erika stepped forward, glaring at him contemptuously. “Charlie…did you hear what I told you? Nobody, not even your best friend, Duke, should hear about this!” She stammered, her voice trembling with frustration. Charlie smirked. “Don't worry, it'll remain a secret,” he reassured coolly. Erika swallowed hard before stepping in. While joining in, Rachel folded her arms, as if catching a cold. She couldn't utter a word. Never in her life could she imagine a day like this was going to come. If someone had told her she would have spat on the person's face. As she sluggishly entered, her body slightly vibrating, Charlie gently slammed the door shut. He glanced between the two friends and instructed immediately. “Take off your clothes.”

Chapter 20: Follow me
Chapter 20 “What?” Rachel and Erika were momentarily taken aback. “You want to have Rachel and me in a room before you can help us?” Erika growled, a bitter, amused chuckle escaped her lips. “Are you sick in the head? After taking a proper look at yourself, you think you're worthy of having my friend and me just because of $5k?” Charlie didn't flinch. “If it's just then go ahead and provide it and don't call me!” Charlie was about to cut off the call when Rachel's voice quickly came out, “Charlie, please, wait.” He halted. “What? Do you accept the condition? Yes or no?” He asked. Rachel bit her lips, frustrated. Her face turned crimson as she held the phone. She never expected that Charlie was going to make such a demand. Trade by barter. She clutched her phone, agitated, but was masked by a faint smile and a soft voice. “Charlie, please, don't you think you're going too extreme? What will the students say if this gets to their ears? That we slept with someone like….I mean this
Chapter 19: On one condition
Chapter 19 Charlie did not need to be told what had happened. He furrowed his brows in surprise, staring at the screen. Was this really Rachel calling him to help them? Unbelievable! Rachel, of all people could be calling and pleading for his assistance? What happened to pride? He instinctively smirked to himself before turning serious. “So why are you calling me? What do you want?” He asked coldly, emotionless. “Charlie, please, we need $5k. We can't stand the wrath of the Prime Restaurant's chairman. Please, help us.” At that moment a different, but familiar voice whimpered, desperate for support. Charlie smirked again when he heard Erika's broken voice. “Why should I help you?” His voice was still cold. “What happened to Franklin you both were all worshipping a few minutes ago? Has his money all gone?” Rachel bit her lips, embarrassed by Charlie's words. She knew he was mocking them. She sighed exasperatedly, but kept her anger in check. She needed his help right now and s
Chapter 18: Charlie, please help us
Chapter 18Cold sweat broke on Rachel's forehead as she paused. A pang of heartbreak hit her as she watched Megan, her best friend, walking away with Franklin without turning back. Her jaw tightened, her face twisted with frustration. “Why are you stopping us? Franklin ordered the meal. You should go after him to pay and not us!” “Yes!” Erika quickly tilted her head, her voice breaking with emotion as she continued. “We only ate because he instructed us to. You can't hold us responsible!” “When you get to our boss, you can explain that to him!” The waitress replied apathetically. Then she turned to the security guards, “Bring them to the boss.” The security guard was about to grip Rachel when she yelled, stepping backward, her face twisted as if irritated. “Don't touch me, I'll pay!” He halted in his steps. “Just yours?”“For both of us!”A flash of surprise passed through Erika's eyes as she glanced at Rachel. She was her best friend and she knew every detail about her. Knowing

Chapter 17 Everyone froze in place, as if struck by thunder. “That can't be possible!” “How can there be such an amount of money in that card?” Murmurs spread across the room with wide eyes, mouths covered with shock. Franklin, who had been waiting to mock Charlie, stiffened at a spot, looking at Charlie with utter disbelief. No, that can't be real! He can't have such money on him! He muttered, shaking his head. Megan was entirely dumbfounded, unable to speak. Her eyes bulged, refusing to believe what was happening. The Charlie she knew couldn't afford stuff worth $1k, but now, he just unconcernedly paid for such extravagant meals. How did he do? Did he win any lottery? She thought to herself. Duke, on the other hand, was no exception. He wore a shocking and skeptical expression if it was truly Charlie who was standing in front of everyone. He knew him in and out, and knew what he's capable of doing, but this? He couldn't fathom. All eyes were now on Charlie, but he pre
