Chapter 10

[ Puuuuussssssshhhhhh! ]

The glass cover of the capsule opens upwards. Seth squirmed awake by loosening all his muscles. He moaned for a moment. He had never felt so comfortable sleeping.

He can't remember the last time he slept comfortably. Maybe when he was in high school. While his parents were still alive-before strange events made both parents disappear mysteriously.

"Ugh, wait a minute –" Seth muttered in relief.

Seth felt his body astonished. From the arms, legs, and ribs, all the bruises all over his body disappeared without a trace. He even punched his ribs, and no horrible stabbing like before.

"True, the wound is all gone. How could I − ?" Seth talked to himself.

His legs moved down from the magic capsule to ensure he was not dead. Seth looked at the mirror on the wall.

"I'm healed!"

Though the verge of his lip had been torn yesterday and now disappeared without a trace.

"It works! My ribs did not hurt anymore either," Seth roared with excitement.

Incredible, Seth raised his hand wide. The bruises around his chest also just disappeared.

"Good morning, sir. Well, you look better than yesterday." Flavio welcomes, Seth has just woken up from his medication.

Flavio arrives with a robot trolley that follows him into the treatment room. The trolley looks like a small closet using four wheels and a light sensor.

"Flavio, what happened to me, exactly? Why are all my wounds gone? Did you see that? My ribs are fine too." Seth asked thrilly incalculable.

His face was not as pale as paper anymore, and Seth seemed to wake up with a new life.

He's alive, his eyes shining.

The healing capsule bed is magical. It's able to heal Seth overnight.

Flavio stretches out his robotic arms. "This capsule has the supreme healer healing system, Sir. Any serious illness or injury can be cured simply by sleeping overnight. It works to repair damaged tissues and cells. Update it with a new network."

Seth frowned. "What system are you using, anyway? Why are you guys so good at it? Can you control the human mind too?"

Flavio shook his tiny hand. "Not so. Our system works and integrates only on the objects' networks."

"Could you stop calling me that? Just Seth, Flavio. Call me by name."

"Yes, sir - sorry, I mean Seth."

"Then, are you the only one who lives here? I mean, isn't there anybody else? Who owns this place? Raven?" Seth asked curiously.

Many questions take time to answer by him.

"Why am I here? Why did you bring me here?"

"Calm down, Seth. I know this is confusing for you. You better have breakfast, clean up and change. Let all the questions Raven answer them." Flavio replied kindly. "I'll take you to your room."

"All right. I think - I should be more patient and restrained. You don't know anything. I understand," Seth replied and disenchanted. "The most important thing is that I recover. Thank you so much for saving me. I owe you my life."

Flavio shows Seth's room on the second floor, and Seth follows behind. The second floor is as beautiful, luxurious, and majestic as the lower one. A walking closet trolley accompanied Seth's footsteps.

"If you are too tired to climb the stairs, you can try the elevator at the other end. The third floor itself is a training ground, Sir." Flavio explained. "There aren't many rooms here, and this mansion is for you."

[ Yeah, whatever you called me, Flavio − ] Seth muttered inwardly.

"Special training?" Seth nodded with a frown. "Raven talked about this training earlier. What does that mean? What are you training me?"

Flavio laughed stiffly. "You'll find out for yourself. It is clear that we do it to improve you."

Seth snorts. "My life is a mess though one thing amazes me, Flavio. Raven knew that my parents had mysteriously disappeared. It's confusing me."

"I hope you'll find the answer to your question later," Flavio replied, putting up a graphically shaped smile line.

"I still wonder who this belongs to, and I don't see family portraits from downstairs − I see paintings. This sweet and sour? It was like a dream. Are you not mistaken?" Seth commented that still hard to believe this mansion for him based on Flavio's story.

Built for me, he said −?

"Not at all, and it is your room. Raven has turned off the automatic locking system. So, you don't need any access keys to get into your private room, and if there's anything you need, you can press the green button on the desk lamp. I will come, Sir." Flavio added. He opened the door for Seth.

Seth gawked at his spacious room. His tongue was swollen though he had difficulty speaking. By whatever is in the heavens and the Earth. Seth had never imagined that this fortune would finally come to him.

[ Bloody hell. It's fantastic! ]

During this time, misfortune and bad luck plagued his life. Seth hates everything, including the fate of his life that treats him like trash. Bullied, treated inhumanely, and condemned to die.

The room had a giant crystal-clear window that showed a view of the Blue Ocean. The coastal part shows a gorgeous turquoise color. The rocks are adorable and shaped with a sky as shady as the Pacific.

"Oh, my God. Incredible." Seth muttered in astonishment. He didn't expect to be able to set foot inside such a luxurious room. "Are you serious?! This isn't a joke, is it, Flavio?"

"Of course, this is real. Everything in this mansion is yours."

King-sized mattress, soft carpet in stone color, silver walls, and monochrome glittering bed legs. Giant flat-screen television, mini theater set, and a work desk with sophisticated computer sets of the latest brands.

Seth knows the price is fantastic.

Flavio showed him every detail of Seth's new room. "The dressing room, Sir. All the clothes you need. Shoes, sandals, watches, everything you need is here. For the access door, you can push this button."

Seth had difficulty swallowing his saliva. Short of breath now, like dipping from the highest heights. "Insane!"

Seth laughed but was shocked. His hand held her stiff nape. He felt a large mattress whose fabric was as soft as silk.

"My life has finally changed!" Seth roared with excitement.

He collapsed on the floor, and it still felt unbelievable.

"Breakfast is waiting downstairs. Please clean yourself up. Excuse me."

Seth prevents Flavio from leaving. "Wait a minute, Flavio."

"Is there anything missing, sir?"

Seth shook Flavio's tiny hand. "Thanks a million, and I'm thrilled to know you guys."

On the robotic screen, Flavio puts on an airy smile. "You're welcome, Sir. I hope you're comfortable staying here. Hurry up for breakfast. Raven is waiting for you in his room."

"Okay."

"Bon appetit, sir."

Seth arrived at the dining table and looked served delicious and aromatic food in front of him.

In his entire life, Seth has never tasted expensive dishes like this. When he was in college, he was willing to endure the famished. Therefore he could pay the tuition fees.

Seth had received a scholarship but only fully 'it once graduating.

He works at Covcaid though still unable to rent a better flat, and aggravated Castor always snatched his salary.

"Raven didn't join us?" Seth asked with a frown.

Flavio wore a tiny napkin that coiled around his robotic body. He dressed like a professional chef. There are still other robots whose two hands deftly place dishes on the dining table.

The robot is light, shaped like a human, and its height is half Seth's waist.

Flavio laughed stiffly again, and Seth was familiar with the characteristic laughter of his little friend. "Raven didn't come with us for some reason that I can't explain. Raven is in his room. He's waiting for you there. You should have breakfast first and prepare yourself mentally. Have a seat, Sir."

Seth shrugged and pulled up a chair to sit down. "All right. You stay here with me. I'm still adapting - consider the mansion fulfill of systems and robots. I still have an understanding. Bon Appetit, Flavio. The robot - does he have a name?"

Seth points to a human-sized robot that moves its head rigidly.

"You can call him Code: Echo."

Seth smiled airily. He reached out and shook Echo's robotic hand. "Hi, Echo. I'm Seth. Nice to meet you."

Echo nodded stiffly. "Welcome, Mr. Vonstein. I hope you like my dish."
