Monica wasn't sure why they acted like that; perhaps they needed those scary faces to scare away their enemies because otherwise they wouldn't feel confident enough to do battle? Although I suppose that was probably the reason the samurai warrior wanted his face covered too— he had nothing to prove! All in all she considered the entire world she lived in very unfair; for example she couldn't eat all the food she found in the forest for fear of getting caught and eaten herself! But she still had faith in the world's balance and knew it would eventually come back into line so she went on eating as much as she could while staying hidden as best as possible.

At one point after finishing her meal, she decided it might be a good idea to make a plan for what to do next since her luck didn't seem to be changing. There didn't seem any use going further along her current path since everything looked completely uninhabited, plus she hadn't seen anything worth traveling toward since she left home
