Chapter Fourteen: The Bank Robbery

Luke sat down and tried to calm his racing thoughts. The argument had been going on for what felt like hours, with everyone throwing out different suggestions for their next target. They all knew that this was a dangerous game they were playing, but the promise of riches beyond their wildest dreams was too tempting to resist.

Finally, after much deliberation, they all agreed on the bank. It was a risky move, but they were confident that they could pull it off.

Chaly, the leader of the group, stood up and addressed the rest of the gang. "Well, by the look of things, you people have suggested that we rob the bank to take the money. So write down 'money in the bank'," he said. Everyone quickly jotted down the phrase on scraps of paper, and Chaly himself wrote it on the black wall of the abandoned warehouse they were using as their hideout. He underlined it for emphasis.

"So, as I said earlier, who built the Westend International Prison is also the same as who built the bank we were supposed to hit. But I've changed the plan. Now we're going to the Northern International Bank. It was built in 1813 and is the best bank in the entire continent. It was built by an Akamba man who died in 1825, and by the look of things, the government killed him because they didn't want anyone else to learn the techniques of building the bank," Chaly explained.

The gang members looked at each other in shock. They had never heard of this before. "Are you sure about this, Chaly?" one of them asked.

Chaly nodded resolutely. "Positive. And if we can get our hands on the money inside that bank, we'll be set for life."

The others exchanged a nervous glance, but they all knew they had come too far to back out. They were in this together and would do whatever it takes to ensure they came out on top.

As they made their final preparations for the heist, Luke couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He knew that this was a dangerous game and that things could go horribly wrong. But he also knew that he had come too far to turn back now. He would just have to trust himself and his comrades and hope they all make it out alive.

With that, the gang set off for the Northern International Bank, ready to make their move and take the money that they so desperately craved.

"Chaly, why did you change the plans?" Spider asked with a puzzled look on his face. "That's a good question," Chaly responded. "The bank we were supposed to raid was closed because all of the official members were very corrupt and got fired. That means someone else must have already robbed the bank, and we don't want to be caught in the middle of a second-hand robbery. So, we're going to do our own heist."

As soon as Chaly finished explaining, the lights suddenly turned orange, which caught everyone's attention. "What does that mean?" Luke asked in a concerned tone. "It means we need to start our plan right away, and bright lights might attract unwanted attention from others. So, let's get started. This time, we won't have plans A, V, or C. Instead, we'll have Plan 1 and No Man's Plan," Chaly continued.

"What does No Man's Plan mean?" Jack asked, feeling a bit confused. "Relax, Jack. Chaly will explain everything. Just pay attention," Luke replied with a smile.

"Thank you for that, Luke," Chaly said, acknowledging his friend's support. "So, Plan 1…"

But before Chaly could finish, Spider interrupted him. "I think we should stop here for today. I'm not feeling well."

"Okay, as you wish," Chaly replied, nodding his head in agreement. Everyone walked out of the planning house, but Chaly called Jack aside. "I'm very sorry about how I reacted before. I had no idea that you were almost killing Luke and Helena because of that guy called Jay."

"It's okay, no problem," Jack replied in a low tone.

"Great, let's go have a drink together," Chaly said, holding Jack's hand.

They moved to the next room, laughing and talking in a high tone as they gathered up a lot of Chrome. Spider had just finished the meeting and was heading to the Arom bar where Jay had promised to meet him. Upon arriving, Spider couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Jay drinking with a lady. Jay noticed him and stood up to greet him with a warm hug, inviting him to join them for a drink. Spider greeted the lady and they continued to drink until late in the evening. Jay then offered to drive them to his house for dinner.

Upon arriving at Jay's house, Spider was in awe. The walls were made of glass and adorned with beautiful flowers, and the compound was filled with expensive grasses. As he stepped inside, he noticed that even the floor was made of glass. "No one in the entire country has a house like this, it's three times more expensive than the state house," Spider exclaimed. Jay simply smiled and replied, "Don't worry, I'm a businessman."

They made their way to the dining room where they found a table full of all types of food. Spider sat down and Jay joined him, along with two other young men who joined them for dinner. The food was delicious and the conversation was lively, with Spider learning more about Jay's business ventures and success.

As the night wore on, Spider realized that Jay was not just a simple business owner, but a savvy and shrewd entrepreneur. He admired Jay's success and his ability to create such a stunning and luxurious home. Spider knew that he could learn a lot from Jay and he looked forward to their future conversations.

During their meal, Jay suddenly asked Spider about their group's plans to rob a bank, expressing surprise at the group's criminal activity. Spider replied that they had not yet started the plans, but they had already identified the bank they would be targeting. Jay was pleased to hear this and hoped to be kept up-to-date with everything that was happening.

Spider expressed gratitude for Jay's help during his time in prison and promised to keep him informed. However, Spider reminded Jay that he had promised to help him win the affection of a woman named Jack, whom he knew Jay was interested in.

Jay agreed to fulfill his promise but asked Spider what he wanted in return. Spider looked at Jay and said that he wanted to know everything about their group's plans for the bank robbery. Jay was hesitant, as he had already promised to keep their plans a secret, but eventually agreed to provide Spider with the information he wanted.
