Chapter Twenty four

Marco stood in front of his apartment building, staring blankly at it, his mind still ringing from the news his landlord had given him. He couldn't believe it.

He never expected those two would take it too far, they had no idea if he was in there or not, and if he was, he would have gotten seriously hurt.

The thought angered Marco so much that he found himself shaking with rage. He wasn't going to take action but he was going to make them regret crossing him.

As he stood there lost in thought, his phone rang, and he looked at it. It was his father, and Marco figured that the landlord had already told him everything.

He didn't want to make his father more worried but he figured that the man wouldn't rest till he was sure everything was fine with him.

"Marco, what happened? Are you okay? I heard what happened. Were you hurt?" his father asked, his voice laced with concern.

"I didn't want to worry you, Dad," Marco replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
