The Devil's Guardian Angel.

**Chapter 1: The Fallen Prince**

"Only a few more hours left...."

Beside a grimy looking dumpster sat a crestfallen individual dressed in dirty torn and worn out clothes no different than rags, Staring with melancholy at the Stain covered Rolex watch on his right wrist as if counting the seconds as they passed by.

Occasionally his eyes would glance at the road side filled with speeding cars and the pavement which encompassed several people walking about, pursuing their daily lives.

With his unkept rare silver hair that grew downwards to his jaw into a dirty beard, his bleak sapphire eyes and lean physique, Most would've mistaken him for a handsome young man if he was tidied up and cleaned.

The degraded person in question was actually once a very prominent figure within several well known social circles, He was formerly known as Antonio Silverstone, The Angel of fortune, for his incredible Entrepreneur skills and ability to always earn a profit where most expert's would see nothing but a dead end.

Anyone who saw him would never have imagined that the once great Angel of Fortune would be reduced to such a miserable state. Ever since his family's enterprise was persecuted and went bankrupt, His father was unfortunate enough to get a heart attack while his dear mother had committed suicide due to depression.

The string of news were like a speeding train that smashed his heart into pieces, Overcome with grief, Alexander sought the help of his fiance's family to clear his parents names and hopefully save the company before it was too late but, what he got in return was nothing but their disdain and mockery. Having lost his company and family properties to the bank, Alexander who was left with nothing was despised by his fiance's family.

To make matter's worse, When he looked into the sudden bankruptcy of his family's company, he was grief stricken when he discovered that it was his so called in-laws that had caused all of this.

Even after he'd begged his father and mother to offer them some of the companies shares, Directly pulling them from grass to grace, it seemed their greed knew no bounds.

The lot of them actually desired to become Co-Owners of his parents company, Only to fail due to his father's constant interference and disagreement. After failing for so long, their greed had long turned to hatred.

Similar to the incarnations of actual demons, They decided to frame his parents company by incriminating them with falsified evidence then selling the information to all of their competitors.

When he learned of this, Antonio's father was overcome with so much rage that he happened to experience a sudden heart failure which led to his untimely death, With his wife following shortly after.

Although Antonio outright accused his fiance's family afterwards and even went as far as reporting them to the law enforcement, With no backing nor power all he got in return was an empty promise from the law enforcement officers who he was sure we're already working for his ex fiance's family.

In a moment of desperation, he had tried to end his own life as well only to stop in the end, How could he kill himself when he was the reason for his late parents untimely end? he always thought to himself.

Moreover with death out of the picture, it wasn't long before his status reduced to the homeless man sitting beside the dumpster with bleak eyes.

With his ex fiance's family's interference, Antonio knew that any attempt of his to exact revenge would be futile since he no longer possessed a firm background nor standing.

Antonio sat there in silence, neither caring for the stares he got nor the different things that fleeted past his gaze. He simply sat there in silence as if reliving his life before his eyes. Only after the sun had set and the night ensued did he stand up with a sigh.

He pulled his hands forward while stretching out his waist and legs as well. His head rotated to the extreme from his right to left, making a cracking sound when he cracked his neck.

"Ahh... it's finally dinner time." Antonio scratched his filthy white beard with his left hand before turning to face the dumpster beside him.

"Let's see what the world has discarded for me today." His eyes glinted with a mix of cynicism and resignation as he rummaged through the dumpster for scraps of food.

This had long since become his daily routine. In the morning, he would report to the police station about his parents' unjust end. In the afternoon, he would sit in silence, contemplating his life, and at night, he would search the dumpsters for something to eat. A truly unfortunate sight.

"Ah, there it is." He smirked when his fingers brushed against something with a familiar texture.

He quickly dug deeper, pulling back his hand to reveal his find.

"Not bad, considering where it’s from." He nodded to himself, staring at the half-eaten hamburger held in his hands.

He brought the scrap of food closer to his eyes, examining it with a listless gaze. "Still intact, more or less. I suppose even the gods throw their leftovers to the wolves every once in awhile."

As he opened his mouth to take a bite, he paused, a bitter chuckle escaping his throat.

"How the mighty have fallen," he muttered, more to himself than to anyone else. " Have I really gotten so hungry that I can't even remember to pray before eating a meal. " His tone was laced with self-derision, yet there was a hint of something darker, colder, underneath.

Sadly, before he could sink deeper in his self depravation, a voice suddenly came from behind him. "I knew you were garbage, but I never knew you'd fall this low so soon, Antonio!"

Antonio’s eyes narrowed as irritation flickered across his face. He didn’t bother turning around immediately, allowing the silence to stretch.

"And here I thought the stench couldn’t get any worse," he finally said, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he slowly turned to face the intruder.
