Chapter Twenty three
Marco was almost close to licking his plate. He had to demand another course on the menu just because the chef had him moaning over his dish.

He was savoring each bite of his meal. The flavors were exquisite, the presentation was impeccable, and the ambiance was perfect.

However, his enjoyment was interrupted when he noticed the matron giving him a disapproving look. Marco could feel her eyes burning into him, and he knew that she was judging him.

He paid her no attention as he went back to finishing his meal, he had no business with her.

As he finished his meal, he felt a presence looming over him.

Marco looked up and found an older man with a warm smile looking at him.

"Hello," Marco greeted.

"Good evening, sir," the man greeted him warmly.

"Who are you?" Marco asked.

The man's smile faded a bit but it bounced back as he regarded Marco, "your father didn't tell you about me, did he?"
