Maks laughed when he managed to fend off Joddy's hand that was about to hit him. He said to Joddy with a triumphant expression on his face. "Hi, Dude! Why are you mad at me? Isn't this your karma? Back then, you were the one who offered me a job like this when I was having a hard time? When you humiliated me along with Kev's entire family? Have you forgotten?" Maks whispered to Joddy.

Joddy could only remain silent while holding back his emotions. His face was already red. She was furious at Maks for his insult to her.

"Joddy! Don't touch Maks! Don't hit him! If you dare to do that, then you'll have to face me!" Mrs. Kev shouted loudly at Joddy. And that made Joddy even more upset and angry. He didn't expect his mother-in-law to defend Maks.

"Mom! What did you say? Are you defending Maks? It's obvious that Joddy is your son-in-law, he was even the best son-in-law for you once. But today, you have the gall to not defend him when Maks insulted him!" Hera said angrily to her mother.
