"Are you all ready for the war?" Austin addressed his team. "I said, are you all ready for the war?" He shouted.

"Yes, sir!" His team responded.

This mission is to death. A soldier is a modern warrior, and we should be ready to face death for our country's sake. What are we? "

"Rangers!" They all responded.

"And what do we do?" He questioned

"We will defeat all terrorists!" They chorused.

Austin paused for a while and looked into the faces of the soldiers. They all kept straight faces as they waited for their leader's order. "Bring your tags out everyone, and also your last letter in case you didn't make it."

"Yes, sir!" They all responded and did as told. Ten soldiers were present on the plane. There are five males and five females. They all dropped their tags and last letters on the brown paper provided by Austin.

"Remember this mission is to your death. Lungo! " He called.

"Yes, sir!"

"Prepare to land," Austin said to him.

Irish, mocha, Affogato, Doppio, cortado, latte, Americano, and cappuccino. Are you all ready to fight to the death? "

They all stood up and saluted Austin. "Yes, sir."

The plane opened and the soldiers braced themselves to land. The hot air blew into their skin as they awaited their destiny.

"Ten seconds to jump!" Austin shouted. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Jump! "

Austin landed in a thick forest. He looked around him, and when he didn't see anyone, he pulled out his walkie-talkie from his khaki trousers and turned it on. "This is espresso over. Can anyone hear me? " He questioned "If you can hear me, head to the west side. Let's meet there."

"Roger that, sir," they all responded over the walkie-talkie.

Soon, the soldiers made their way to the west side as directed by Austin.

"Sir?" They all saluted him when they arrived at the Westside.

"So our base camp is towards this direction," he explained, pointing to his right side. to the map, it's very close to the village where it all started." "Let's move!"

"Yes, sir!" They all responded.

"I can't believe I am here," Kemisola said to Oklahoma. "This forest is beautiful and......"

"Shush," Austin said, motioning to the left side of the forest, where growlings could be heard."Lungo, Americano," he whispered.

"Yes, sir." They both said and rushed forward with guns in their hands.

"Aim," Austin ordered.

Kelly and Tony pointed their guns forward and waited for their enemies to surface before they shot. "We are waiting on your orders, sir," Kelly said.

The growling drew nearer and Austin raised his hands and brought it down, but a loud scream belonging to a human made him retract his statement. "Stop!" Austin yelled when the supposed enemy turned out to be human.

"Don't shoot us," A lady wearing a greenish camouflage jacket and trousers and black combat boots raised her hands. "I'm harmless."

"State your business!" Austin ordered

"First lieutenant Chelsea Loukas," she stated.

"What are you doing?" Austin stopped when he heard the growling again.

"Something we're after as well," a man said from their right side.

He also pointed his gun at Kelly and did the same.

"Stop!" Chelsea shouted. "That's our captain." "Captain Tammy."

"Who are you guys?" Tammy questioned.

"Special force from Mecianda and you?" Austin questioned

"We are the Nigerian Armed Forces, and..."The growling sounded again. "Get ready for the worst," he said as he cocked his gun and pointed it forward.

"What are we fighting?" Kemisola shouted.

"Your worst nightmare!" Tammy shoots as whatever was growling surfaces. There were five of them, and they looked worse than the creature Austin fought against in the city park. They were also humans and had hair all over their bodies, but their fangs were longer and shiny. They had long claws that cut deep into the skin. Their eyes were blood red, and they were all naked. "If you have a gun, shoot!" Tammy shouted.

They all bought their guns and raised the creatures. "Don't let them bite and strike you with their claws," Chelsea warned.

"Why?" Ella shouted.

"Because it means death." Shoot! " Tammy ordered

The soldiers fired their bullets at the creatures who weren't affected. As soon as the bullet hit them, red liquid pooled out of their bodies, only to be healed within two seconds. "How are they not dead?" Tony asked.

"Nobody knows but if you want to survive!" Keep shooting. " Tammy advised

The creatures drew nearer, and they went backward until they all had their backs on a big tree. "What do we do?" Okie shouted.

"Form a circle," Austin ordered. "Aim for their heads; it weakens them!" he instructed them. The soldiers did as instructed and aimed for the head of the creatures. Sammie cocked his gun and closed his left eye as if he was about to shoot a sniper gun. The creature in front of him growled at teeth and rushed to strike, but Sammie's bullet got to the creature first. The bullet hits the creature on the forehead, and it drops to the ground.

Okie was also facing the second creature who was ready to strike her. The creature growled at her as Okie fired the bullet at her. The bullet missed as it hit the creature's shoulders. Okie cocked her gun and raised her gun to shoot, but she had no bullets again. The creature growled and jumped to attack Okie, but luckily Kelly's bullet hit the creature on the forehead. "Thank you." She said to him, but Kelly only replied with a nod.

One of the creatures was also between Kemisola and Austin, who were standing side by side."I can't do this!" Kemisola's hand shook as the creature opened its mouth wide. The mouth lacked a tongue, and a copious amount of blood pooled out of the creature's mouth as it didn't heal. Kemisola was a doctor, but the creature in front of her was unlike anything she had ever seen.

"Help me, God!" She closed her eyes and prayed as her hand continued to shake. The creature growled aloud, which made her stagger and fall to the ground.

Austin, who was beside her, shook his head and aimed for the creature's head. The creature continued to growl at Kemisola, but it dropped to the ground when Austin's bullet formed a hole in the creature's head. "Never lose focus when your enemy is near." He shouted at her.

"I'm sorry sir!" Kemisola apologized and stood up from the ground.

Another creature was in between Tammy and Tony. Both of them aimed their guns at the creature's head. The creature jumped, and two bullets were fired on its head. The creature growled and landed on the ground. "Nice shot, comrade," Tammy said with a wink to Tony.

"Anytime, comrade!" Tony also winked back.

The last creature was in between Ella and Gabriella. They shoot aimlessly at the creatures running out. The creature flashed its fangs at them and jumped to strike them with its claws, but luckily for them, Daniel aimed his gun at the creature's head. The creature landed on the ground with a loud noise.

"What are those?" Okie questioned

"The creatures we came to fight," Chelsea answered her.

"But that's not what we saw in the file given to us," Daniel said.

"Same here too. We've been here for a week now and these creatures are everywhere. Nigeria was the first country to be attacked. The creatures were first seen in small towns until they appeared in our city. " Tammy explained.

"What is left of Nigeria is now quarantined and the creatures are storming the streets as if they owned it," Chelsea added.

If your country was attacked, how are you here? Why are you not protecting your country? " Gabriella questioned Tammy.

"We have forces for that." We came here because the creatures won't stop coming into our country. " Tammy answered.

"I thought other countries were attacked?" Kemisola said, making it sound like a question.

They've all arrived. The U.S.A, Pakistan, and Canada were affected too. Pakistan was struck badly. " Chelsea said to them "We better leave before they wake up and attack us." Once it's nighttime, they come out in groups. They are more active at night. "

Kemisola gave the creatures a last look before walking away with the other soldiers who were led by Tammy. "So who is the team leader?" Tammy questioned.

Austin didn't answer as he gave Tammy a suspicious look. He didn't trust him. "You must be their team leader," Tammy pointed at Austin. "You have a strong aura around you."

"I don't trust you," Austin said to him.

"I get that a lot, but if you don't trust me now, I bet you won't trust the rest of the soldiers," Tammy stated.

"I don't care about anyone, but I do not trust you," Austin told him.

Tammy raised her hand in defeat and smiled at him. "We'll be here for a long time, so," he didn't finish his sentence when he saw Austin's glaring eyes.

"Are we staying together in one base camp?" Okie questioned

"Sort of," Chelsea replied.

The rest of the walk was in silence. They walked for an hour and forty minutes until they got to an area that was completely free from any form of nature. "Welcome to Five Countries Base Camp." Tammy laughed and stretched her hand towards the five big tents that were surrounded by metal walls. The tents were in the form of a two-story building. Tammy sent a thumbs-up signal to a soldier who was guarding the gigantic gate.

"Where is our tent?" Austin questioned

"That is your tent." Tammy pointed to the tent that was beside Canada.

Austin walked towards his tent while ignoring the stares from the soldiers from other countries. The rest of Austin's team walked behind him into their tent. They also made sure they ignored the other soldiers. When they were all inside their tent, Austin addressed them. "The mission has begun when we never believed it would." Remember, we are here for war. Nobody is your friend! You've seen what we are up against, so get ready for war! " Austin shouted. "Do you all understand?" He shouted at them.

"Yes, sir!" They all responded.

"Pick a spot to sleep." He instructed "Make sure you get all the sleep you want because..." He stopped talking when he heard the sound of an alarm.

"What's that?" Tony questioned no one in particular.

"Whatever that is, it can be good," Sammie answered.

"If you can hear this, the creatures are surrounding us." I repeat, the creatures are surrounding us! " A male voice sounded over a megaphone. His English wasn't fluent as it seemed broken by the way he spoke.

"What do we do?" Kemisola

questioned

"What else do you do on a battleground? You fight! " Ella shouted at her.

"We need weapons, Espresso!" Sammie shouted.

"No need for that cappuccino, I've got all the weapons you need!" Tony dropped a duffel bag on the table. "Found it on the first floor or whatever it's called."

"Pick whatever you know how to use best." Austin pulled off his brownish camouflage jacket and dropped it on the table. The brown round shirt he wore showed all his muscles. Austin picked an M590 shotgun and an M16A2 rifle. Kemisola only picked an M590 shotgun, while Sammie and Tony picked an M107 long-range sniper rifle, while the rest picked an M11 pistol.

They all rushed out and stood among the rest of the soldiers who were already pointing their guns towards the gate.

"Prepare to aim, now fire!" A voice sounded through a megaphone and all the soldiers fired their bullets at the creatures that had crawled over the metal walls into the camp. Their bullets didn't seem to have any effect on the creatures, as they were quick to heal up. Austin and his team fired into their heads, and the creatures they aimed at dropped dead. "Listen to me if you want to survive!" Austin shouted at the top of his voice. "Aim for the head." The sniper's shooters should position themselves and aim for the head. "

"Why should we listen to you? You just walked in. " A guy from the USA team was questioned.

I'd listen to him if I were you. We are surrounded! " Tammy shouted at him. "If you have a sword or knife, that could work, but make sure you do not get clawed or bitten!" He warned.

The creatures burst into the tent and grew in numbers. "There are too many of them!" Austin shouted.

"You haven't seen anything!" A guy from the Canadian team said to him "This is just the beginning!"
