Once again the mission progression was updated and the bell signaled the end of the school periods. I asked the Library manager whether would there be any problems if I stayed here even after the last school period and he nodded while saying” Nobody ever frequents this library, So I would not tell the 1^st person in centuries who came inside this library to leave and there is nothing to worry, I know the Dean of the Academy. You can stay here till it's bedtime.” I nodded with an appreciative smile.

I once again started a search for a history book of the continents. I finally found a rather worn-out book titled “H  st  y of t e Humans.” It was the only worn-out book on the whole shelf which was surprising and it was also slightly burnt but the inside appeared to look as if it was not touched by time. The library manager looked at my face with surprise and shock and said “All the books are protected by magic enchantments which do not damage the inner contents of any book here. It’s surprising to see worn-out books like that in this library but it must have come in that state. The surprising thing is the books written here are from several centuries ago” I was surprised to know that there was also something called magic enchantment and the book was so old. I asked him whether there were any books on forging, alchemist, and magic enchanting. He looked surprised but brought 3 books while saying that “People normally do not pay much attention to these crafts although they might be useless at 1^st once you get adapted to the art you can make miraculous items which can greatly enhance your strength.”

I nodded and took the books from him and then started reading the book on the continent of the Humans but what was surprising to hear was that there was no patron god for this continent. After the other gods and goddesses had separated 9 continents from the gigantic island, what remained of the gigantic island is now the Human continents and also the smallest continent in The GATE. What was even more surprising is that humans were not created by a God or a Goddess but rather had evolved from apes to the current Humans that are now found on every continent in The GATE. They had evolved from prey to predators and even 2 of XXX rank Tyrants had come from the humans which was quite surprising knowledge Augustus was one of the XXX rank Tyrants found in the Dragonic Continent but he too was a human.

Augustus’s powers were even rumored to rival the god’s power and according to the hidden secrets I had found from the NPC Richard’s memory, He was making a secret technique that would allow him to surpass the power of the gods. He must have been a genius to develop such a technique.

[Ding… A mission has been issued]

I felt a strange feeling when I heard the familiar voice after thinking about the technique made by Augustus.

The reward was too generous since even Augustus could not complete his technique while the punishment and the new Special Punishment were too harsh. It even specified how to complete the mission or else I would not know where to start. The most surprising thing was that the mission time limit did not have a numerical value but rather a specific event. This meant that the deadline could happen or never happen but the emotion of not knowing your deadline was too painful for my soul. I better start searching for this book but let me finish the story first.

The story continued with that The unknown God of Games started to like the tendency of the humans to not give up which reminded him about his struggles to reach his position. With the support of The God of Games, they were not faced with any major hurdles or interferences by the other gods and races. The surprising thing was the name of the god of games was not specified. Due to the support of The God of Games, humans started to become drawn to the side of entertainment and started making some entertaining games, toys, cartoons, and movies to such an extent that almost 99% of this planet started importing these stuff from the Human Continent.

The book ended so suddenly with the sudden popularity of the products of the human continent. Well, Kronos would be showing my progression now.

Finally, the mission progress was a nice round no which gave me a satisfying feeling for me. I should probably start searching for the book. It might be in this library, So I asked

the library manager” Have you seen the book “The History of the Gods” anywhere.” He looked surprised to hear of the name but said “Although I have seen the phrase “The History of” a lot I have not heard of a name called “The History of the Gods.”  So sorry but although we have a lot of books here, the rest of the books not found here would be in the royal library, if not it would be in another continent! But you would not be able to get permission to get out of the academy much less the royal library.”I nodded and headed to the Dean’s office and knocked at the door.
