He said “Come in” and obediently entered the room. The Dean seemed surprised to see me before smiling at me and saying “Richard Tiamat, I presume. You look just like your father.” It seemed The Dean knew my real identity. I asked him “So you know my father.” He nodded and said, “you do not seem to be surprised for me to know your full name.” I nodded and declared “I knew that somebody with power must know my real identity and you seem to be the only person with real power here.” The Dean looked surprised but asked “So why did you come here? There must be something you want from me to come here.”

I nodded and asked the dean “Can I have permission to go out of the school for work.” The Dean seemed surprised but nodded to give his consent while saying “I will inform the guards to give you free access to enter and exit at your own will.” I nodded and further asked him “Have you heard of the book or read the book “History of the Gods.” You must have seen a lot of books in your life.”

The Dean seemed surprised to hear a book’s name out of nowhere but he shook his head which resulted in my disappointment. The Dean seemed even more surprised to see me disappointed and said “You would be able to find it in the royal library or the ruined library of legends which is found under the Royal Palace. I was surprised this time since I had not heard of such a library.

Noticing my surprise, The Dean said “It is not surprising that you do not know about it. The library’s existence is only known to the Dragon King and his most trusted confidants of which I am one. You would get to know about its existence when you become king. The library has the oldest books on various things that have been erased from history.” I knew that my father was quite close with the king but as close as to reveal a secret that even his own son did not know, that was too close for comfort. This library must be from ancient times but how would I get access to it? When I asked the Dean about it, he looked surprised before saying that I could ask permission from the king.

I decided to go to the castle tomorrow since many teachers were sick due to excitement but just in case I asked the Dean whether it is okay to attend the classes tomorrow since most of the teaching staff were sick. He nodded and gave a note which said that he had permitted me to skip the classes from tomorrow onwards until my work was finished. He said that I could show it to any of the teaching staff who asked why I was absent.

I nodded and went towards my dorm room way past bedtime. Nobody seemed to be there, which seemed to show just how much confidence they had regarding the security and discipline in the school. I got onto the bed and fell asleep, it was just another fabulous experience you could get in the game/ technically another planet (which was very normal since it was just another planet). In other games, characters sometimes sleep, and even then they fast forward time but here you could sleep without it being fast forward. Furthermore, you could even experience dreams and nightmares while you sleep.

The next day

I woke up for another bright day and got ready by changing into one of the unnoticeable dresses that I had brought from home for emergencies like this and also put a “Mithril Alabaster Sword” according to the analysis skill in the hidden slot underneath the shirt which allowed free access to holster and unholster the sword. Although Mithril should be very rare, I did not worry about it but I had not heard of the metal Alabaster before. This sword was given to me as a safety precaution and I had been told not to reveal it to anyone or else they would be a great commotion to see the sword according to my father.

I went near the exit point after checking sure that I was ready but was immediately stopped by the guard. He asked me “Who do you think you are to come here without a school uniform and try to go out on my watch.” It seems there are always these types of people out there even on other planets. I took the note given by the Dean and gave it to the Security Guard but he did not even glance at it and said “Do not show me some useless piece of paper to distract me. You can have it back.”

This security guard must be somebody new who had joined today morning and when I asked him he nodded. So, I shouted calling another guard nearby and the guard seemed to be surprised to see me call another guard. Due to my shouts, another nearby guard came running and seem to recognize me and asked “Are you Richard, the person that was mentioned by the Dean.” I nodded while the other guard seemed to be terrified and shocked to hear me know the Dean of such a big Academy. I knew that his career would probably be finished but I knew that he deserved it due to his arrogant attitude. His career would have also been destroyed in the future due to his attitude.

After I came out of the academy, I got another bumpy ride back to the palace. After I came near the palace I was stopped by the guards who asked me who and why am there. I was surprised to see that the guards did not recognize me. It might be due to these ordinary-looking clothes. I whispered that I am the prince who has come to see his father. The Guards laughed and said the Real Prince is in the Academy. I sighed and took the dean’s notice and also the royal dress that I normally wore in the palace. The Guards after looking at the dean’s notice and the prince’s dress gave me a salute that I normally got from the guards since I was the prince of this continent. I nodded and proceeded to enter the king’s Throne room after checking whether he was free.
