The atmosphere changed as their conversation was continued inside their home. Alexander stood at the left of his mother and listened to the man who introduced himself as Ray. Ray talked about a lot of things that Alexander couldn’t understand, it is unbelievable and it’s impossible.

“Alexander, sir, you must understand that you are no ordinary person. The strength and the power you’ve used during that can only mean one thing.” Says Ray.

But Alexander doesn’t believe in what this guy is saying. It is just purely impossible for it to even happen. He tried to find answer from his mother, but she too was in distress and is obviously nervous for some reason. Even his grandmother is there sitting on a chair and speechless.

“Okay, I’ll believe you. But where is he?” snapped Alexander.

He never felt this way before, his insides are boiling because of his anger, and it was like he was about to burst. Jane looked up at her son and saw him determined to have an answer to that question, she tried to calm him down but she don’t know what to say to him since she is also guilty of hiding it from him. Ray then tried to change the subject by continuing his statements about Alexander’s father when he kicked the table near him.

“Answer my freaking question! Where is he!? ” fumed Alexander.

Ray, Jane and Alexander’s grandmother looked at Alexander. They can’t come up with something to calm this boy down.

“If he’s eager to tell me who he is, then where is that fucking father?!” Alexander raged.

Jane held the hand of him but it did not calm him down.

“Alex, calm down son, calm down.” Says Jane.

But his anger is too much to be controlled anymore. He is angry because of the fact that his father wasn’t there when they needed him the most, he wasn’t there when their family was about to die because of hunger, he wasn’t there for Alexander as a father.

“Ray, let me explain to my son the whole situation, okay?” calmly asked by Jane.

“No mom, let us crush this man and spit where that great father is –”

“You shut up for a moment and sit, Alexander! If you want answers, I’ll give them to you! Just sit and be quiet! Please!”

Alexander had never heard his mother yell like this before, behind her voice is guilt, sadness and pain. And because of that, Alexander sat down at his mother’s right and waited her to speak and tell him the truth. Jane then took a deep breath and started to explain. It all started 18 years ago, it was bright and sunny day. A girl wearing those armor of a knight sat on a grassy ground and was leaned up against a big tree, she was resting. This girl was beautiful, has short black hair and bright blue eyes. This girl was Jane, Alexander’s mother. And this her when she was still a knight. She sat under this tree and trying to rest from a brutal 24 hours straight guard duty. She was a knight so following orders is a must. So, due to her tiredness, Jane sat beneath the tree. And after a few minutes of resting, she noticed a man wearing black clothes walked past her, she quickly grabbed her lance, stood up and approached the man. She called him and the man looked back, she was caught off guard as this man is way too handsome and manly looking.

“Whe-Where are you g-going, kind sir?” nervously asked by Jane.

The man grinned at her. “Oh, just looking for someone to talk to since it’s a little bit boring talking to myself.” Jokingly said by the man.

Jane moved closer “But sir, outsiders aren’t allowed to be in this part of the palace. Can you kindly speak your name?” ordered Jane.

The man just laughed “Call me King, my lady.” He answered.

And without knowing what is she doing, Jane started to giggle. Since she was also bored, she invited the man to let her take him to a tour around the palace, the man agreed and they roamed the palace of the royal family. And so, it began. The man came to visit Jane frequently and they started to hang out. Jane found the man comfortable to be with, he is understanding and kind and most importantly, a gentleman. It was too good to be true. After a year of dating, the man and Jane became one. Then the after a month of being together, they were happy, but the problem starts now. Jane cooked breakfast for the man when he stood up from his seat and looked at Jane.

“Jane, I’ve made a mistake. I didn’t intend to make a huge burden befall you, I’m so sorry.” The man apologized.

Jane smirked as if the man was just joking “What are you saying, silly. You did nothing wrong and besides I –”

“I am a god,

Jane, and I’ve made a terrible mistake on cheating on her.” Says the man.

He then explained everything to Jane which made her drop the plate of food she was holding. She then knelt to the floor and began crying. Jane believed him quickly as he presented her with concrete evidence.

“We angered her, and you will not suffer the consequences, but our child will. Go to your mother and take care of the child till he’s ready, and until then, remain hidden. It might not help but it is better than doing nothing, you understand?” says the man.

But Jane just sat there on her knees, not being able to say anything because of this revelation. And so, Jane followed the orders of her love and went to his mother’s house, in the outskirts of the kingdom and she deserted her position as a knight. And she kept these words that her man had said.

“Wait until he’s ready. The time will come when our child is ready to prove himself worthy of being my child. It is the only way, Jane. 16 is the age of his awakening, the fates will be cruel, just be prepared for anything. I and the other gods will keep an eye on him, because our child might be the one the prophecy is talking about.”

Since the day she left the kingdom, her man disappeared but constantly watches over them and she can feel it. And that’s how her story ended. She then looked at Alexander with tears falling down her beautiful face.

“Alexander, your father is a god and his name is Hades. He is the god of the underworld and basically one of the Olympians.”

Ray then cleared his throat and nodded as Jane revealed the name of Alexander’s father.

“As your mother has said, you are the son of Hades. And that makes you the Prince of The Underworld. And the one who is angered because of Hades’ infidelity is Persephone, the sole Queen of the Underworld.”
