Chapter 10

It's a beautiful Friday morning on earth. The sun started to rise over the horizon. A blond haird man with blue eyes watched the scenery, he always found the sunrise beautiful. Thousands of thoughts ran through his head, he narrowed his clear blue eyes, glaring at the empty space. The morning breeze picked up, swaying his blond hair. The man's blond hair starts out dark blond at the tips of his hair then fade to a lighter blond to the top, his bang covered his right eye. He heard someone call his name and he turned his head to the direction the voice came from. "Your oddly distracted today." The person commented, walking out to the balcony to stand besides him. A woman with long, dark brown hair and red eyes stared at him. She shook her head. "Come on. I've known you for a very long time now, I know something is bothering you." She said calmly. The blond man, that could be described as a high school principal and a scientist, glanced at the woman. He masked his emotions perfectly before answering. "My niece's mother is here." The blue eyed blond said. The ruby eyed woman looked confused. "Your niece? As in your brother's daughter?" The woman asked. The blond nodded his head. The brunette thought about it for a second. "I only met your niece and your brother, never the rest of the family." The woman commented. "Raya! This could mean that either my brother or my niece did something reckless again." The man reminded Raya. The brunette sighed. "I don't know Frankenstein, I don't know but remember, we also have different problems to worry about. We have no idea what those two will report back to home." Raya said to Frankenstein. The blond man remembered the two silver haired nobles. "Yes. Your in the danger zone there. If they find out about you, then they'll likely report it and I worry for what could happen." The blond said sadly. "Shut it Franken! You'll be glad once I'm gone, then you'll win and I'm not going to let you win!" Raya hissed, her crimson eyes shining in the morning sun.

Frankenstein smirked. "Just admit it. Raizel likes my tea more than he likes yours." Frankenstein teased. "I took care of Raizel before you even stepped foot in our country." Raya argued back. "Just because the two of you are bounded by the blood packt, doesn't mean your special." Raya warned him. Frankenstein rolled his eyes. "Well, just because you were a Clan leader, doesn't mean you can order me around." Franken countered. The two growled at each other. "Your at it again." A calm voice sighed. The two stopped glaring at each other and looked at the shorter black haired man. "Good morning master." Frankenstein greeted the man. "Good morning Raizel." Raya smiled at him. Raizel dipped his head at the two. He wasn't much of a speaker. "I'll go make breakfast." Raya said when things got too silent. "And I'll make some tea." Frankenstein added. The two made their way to the kitchen, chatting as if they never even argued in the first place. Raizel sighed and stared up in the sky. "Keith, what am I ever going to do with those two?" Raizel asked, referring to Raya and Frankenstein's constant battles between each other. Raizel knew that Frankenstein cared for Raya but sertain challenges are in his way and Raizel knew exactly what is the biggest challenge in his servant's way: Raya's husband... er... dead husband. She is yet to move on from his death. Raya is still clinging onto the past. She is a remarkable leader but the past has left her broken and lost. Raizel had heard from Franken that it took him years to get Raya to open up again. And even then, she would do little. It's good to see that she's back to normal but the mention of her partner's name is still very painful.

Raizel turned around and went back inside. He went to the living room where his cup of tea was already standing on the wooden coffee table. The black haired man noticed the two white haired children sitting with the modified human, M-21. The boy, Regis K. Landegre, was glaring at M-21 and Regis' companion, Seira J. Loyard, sighed and shook her head. Ever since Regis and Seira started living here, Regis and M-21 would constantly argue. Raizel's red eyes wondered from M-21's grey eyes to Regis and Seira's ruby eyes. Some would think it's boring to have the same eye color but to Nobles, it's the most easiest ways to know who is a Noble. All Nobles have red eyes. Raizel calmly drank his tea while listening to Regis and M-21 start up another pointless argument.

Raya made her appearance known. "Alright everyone, breakfast is ready and then we should get to the school." She said, smiling. Regis and Seira stood up first and headed to the kitchen, passing Raya. M-21 then followed. Raya stared at Seira, there was something about her energy that didn't feel right to her. Raizel looked at her. "Something the matter?" He asked also moving his gaze to the tall female with her long white hair. Raya moved her gaze to Raizel. "I'm sorry. It's just her energy.... it feels different from when she was younger." Raya replied. Raizel nodded his head, catching her point. "Seira has grown up." Raizel reminded Raya. The brunette furrowed her brows. "I known but her energy feels similar to a Clan leader's. She's too young to be a Clan leader." Raya voice out her thoughts. "Raya, you yourself were appointed as Clan leader at a young age." Raizel added. Raya turned around and walked to the kitchen. After breakfast, she would have to prepare for her class for today.

Ye Ren High School, the school run by the charming principal, Frankenstein. M-21 is a part of the Special Security, patrolling the school. Raya is a English teacher and Raizel, Regis and Seira are students. Raya was currently giving class to her favourite 2nd years, which is also Raizel's class. "Tashiro, focus on the lesson!" Raya scolded the orange haired boy that was currently napping. Tashiro however didn't hear her and continued to sleep. The woman saw that Kase was busy typing away on his laptop. The boy with short brown hair was tapping very hard on the mouse, the sound echoing in the classroom. 'Is he typing with the mouse?' Raya asked herself, sweat dropped. Raizel was staring out of the window while Regis and Seira were actually paying attention to the lesson. Regis' black streaks in his hair gave it away to Raya to which family he belongs to. Raya was very close with the Landegre leader. At the corner of Raya's crimson eye, she caught the shadow of M-21 passing by. She saw a glimpse of his grey hair through the window as he walked down the hallway. Raya continued her lesson for the day.

Somewhere at an abandoned building a group of five men stood together. "This is it?" A man with wavy red hair asked. "Yes. We're here to investigate the disappearance of Jake and Marie along with the two subjects; M-21 and M-24. The Union is searching for the coffin." A man with short black hair said, his hair was styled in a bowl cut and he had a white steak in his hair above his right eye. The group settled in the building, searching for information.

Over at Capsule Corp; Zara and Bulma added the finishing touches to the time machine. The two have been working hard, searching for parts. Zara gazed at the time, 10:30, she have to get going. "Hey, Bulma. I have to meet my nephew, do you mind if I quickly go out to meet him?" I asked her. The blue haired woman nodded her head. "Sure. Just be back before dinner." She smiled. Zara nodded her head. "Thank you Bulma." She beamed and walked out to a cafe in the city. There she would meet Asano.

Zara was lost in though while walking down the busy streets of West City. She has to report to Daishinkan about the time tampering but she just can't bring herself to do it. Zara was angry at herself for this act of weakness. In the past she wouldn't have hesitated to report this right away. Zara concluded that she is hesitant because of Whis. Whis is her beloved baby brother, it would break her heart to see him sad. This information could cost Whis his universe and maybe even his life.

Zara suddenly stopped at a crosswalk. She smiled at herself when she saw the small cafe infront of her. Asano was seated outside, as arranged. "Hey Asano!" She greeted the strawberry blond boy. Asano looked up at her, annoyed. "Akila. How wonderful of you to show up." Asano stated coldly. Akila shook her head, she happy to hear her original name again. "Cold." Akila remarked coldly herself. "What can I say. I learned from the best in the multiveres." Asano smirked, referring to Akila, Korn and Daishinkan. Akila sat down infront of him. "Now let's talk business." Akila said slyly. Asano was at all ears now.

"We have been walking around for hours! Can't we just stop somewhere!?" A sertain childish blond haired woman complained. The said woman with her long light curly blond hair sank to the floor. "Well, Mr K did tell you to wear different shoes but you just had to be smart and wear high heels." A straight blond haird girl remarked cheekily. The older woman on the ground was infuriated. The girl grinned slyly, just like a fox. "Come on professor Bitch. We don't have all day." A red haired boy said boredly. He had a box of strawberry milk in his hand. That nickname only made the teacher - also assassin - even angrier. A fire burned in her blue eyes. "You little brat!" She hissed. "Alright. We have a mission to complete." A blue haired boy interrupted. "Nagisa. I think we should just leave the two of them behind. They are dragging us down. We have to defeat the other teams." The same blond haird girl from earlier said. Her blond hair was slightly darker at the tips. "I don't think that's very nice, Nakamora." A green haired girl added her comment. "Why did we end up getting stuck with Karma and Irina?" Nakamora siged. Irina looked happy that someone called her by her name for once. "Lighten up Rio. We have Ritsu too." Karma said, leaning onto the blond girl. Nakamora gave him a side glare. "I didn't give you permission to call me by my first name." Nakamora said coldly. Karma stepped away from her. "Alright, alright. You don't have to be so mean about it." Karma stated with fake sadness.

"You haven't changed, Rio Nakamora Angelus Vulpes." A new authoritative voice commented. Female by the sound of it. Nakamora flinched. "Outch, full name." Karma commented amused. "Mother." Nakamora kneeled infront of the violet eyed woman. Karma and the green haired girl, Kayano, straightened like a twig. The two of them kneeled too. "It's a honor of meeting you, madam." Karma said as nice as he could. Irina and Nagisa looked confused. "Come Rio, follow me." The woman spoke. Rio dipped her head. "I'll catch you guys later. Just make sure to leave me a sent trail to follow." She winked at the group and dissappeard with her mother. Karma shook his head. The four of them continued their mission. "Just up ahead." Ritsu's voice spoke up from Nagisa's phone. The group entered their assassination spirit again and continued with their task at hand.

"What brings you all the way here?" Rio asked her mother cautiously. The violet eyed woman glared down at her daughter. "I heard that your cousin is back and that your father is here somewhere too." She said. Rio felt down. "Had to come see for myself and I came to see if you haven't caused any more trouble." The woman continued. Rip hung her head. "Yes mother." She said with an empty feeling inside of her. "By any chance. Am I allowed back home?" Rio asked excitedly. Diane gave Rio a harsh glare. "Absolutely not!" Diane said harshly. "I guess I'm going to uncle Franken." Rio sighed, mumbling. Diane glanced at her only daughter. Diane wished that Rio took a little more responsibility and acted a little more proper but she knew what she got herself into when she married the fox king. Diane doesn't even know why their still together. Yes, Diane loves her husband with all her heart, it's just sometimes he is reckless and his daughter is now following into his footsteps.

The mother and daughter duo came to a small cafe. Rio though that her eyes were playing tricks on her because she saw her cousin, Akila, talking with E-class' rival enemy, Asano. She narrowed her eyes at the two. By the look on Akila's face, they seem to be talking about a serious topic. Her violet eyes were narrowed at the strawberry blond, giving him a death glare. Rio shivered, glad her cousin's icy glare isn't pointed at her but Rio knows that this afternoon, her uncle's icy blue eyes will be glaring at her, making her wish she never disobeyed her mother. "Mother. Look, Akila is at this café too." Rio said in her usual carefree voice. "Let's say hi." Rio said, trying to convince her mother. Nakamora knew that if she's alone with her mother, she'll get scolded but if Akila is there the all would be fine. But Rio miscalculated one tiny detail. Her very strict teacher. "Nakamora!" The grumpy voice of her P.E teacher came. The blue eyed blond turned to face him. "Yes sir?" She asked innocently. His brown eyes were glaring holes in her. "Get back to your group. You can't afford to fail this assignment." Karasuma said coldly. "Yes sir." Rio said with her head down. She secretly felt glad he rescued her. She stalked off towards her group. "Rio, where do you think your going?" Diane asked her daughter. Rio turned to look at her mother. "Teacher's order. Like Mr K said. I can't afford to fail this assignment." She said shrugging her shoulders. Rio turned and bolted away. Diane felt angry at her daughter. She wanted to question the teacher but her was also gone. Diane did what she came for so she decided to go back to the temple. The library can't guard itself.

Akila and Asano had a nice chat. She convinced him to attend a party Bulma is hosting to celebrate the success of one of her latest inventions. Asano gave in and said that he'll go. "I still don't understand why your using me." Asano muttered. Akila glanced at him with her violet eyes. "Your smart, you should be able to figure it out." She stated bluntly. The same eye colored boy narrowed his purple gaze at her. "No I don't. We have no ties what so ever, there's no point of you using me if you could just ask your actual cousin to help." Asano said, frustrated, emphasizing the word 'actual'. Akila sighed. "It's fun messing with you and besides, I love how you are able to manipulate the humans." Akila said. Asano didn't respond to her. "I think I should go. My class will start getting suspicious if I don't show up." Asano said, standing up. Akila understood and stood up too. She have a job to return to. Asano paid for their food and drinks and the two went their separate ways.

Akila walked back home, lost in though. How the hell is she going to confront her father when he finds out she helped a group of mortals building a time machine? He'll be so mad and Zeno would destroy the 7th universe. Akila would have to find a way around him. In her train of thoughts, Akila didn't watch where she was going and bumped into something or rather someone, causing both to fall over. Akila groaned and opened her violet eyes only to stare into baby blue eyes. The brunette immediately shot up. "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't see where I was going." She apologized to the young man. Akila helped him up. He was quite tall. He had long purple hair that was teid back into a ponytail. He was wearing a white coat. "It's fine. I should have paid more attention to where I was going as well." The man said kindly. His voice had a strange accent, Akila noticed. She could also sence that something to him wasn't quite right. If it wasn't for his ki, it would be the fact that he didn't get any noticeable injuries form the fall. "Oh. The name's Takio." He introduced himself. Akila gave him a skeptical look. "Why would you introduced yourself to me? I'm a total stranger." She said. The man shrugged. "You seem like a nice person. I just have that gut feeling." He said. After starting at Takio for a good minute, Akila made up her mind. She stuck out her hand toward him for a handshake. "I'm Zara. Nice to meet you." The woman smiled at him. He shook her hand. This simple action reassured her that Takio is a nice guy. She senced it in his confusing ki.

Another person made their appearance. A pale man with black hair and a white streak in his hair above his right eye. His hair was styled in a bowl cut. "Hey Takio. Crans wants you." He said in a playful tone. His black gaze traveled to Akila. "Wow~ we haven't been in the city for two days and you already picked up a chick." He said, teasing his friend. "Tao!" Takio complained, turning red. Akila laughed at them. "No, no. I accidentally bumped into Takio. I'm sorry to have kept you up so long." Akila said, first talking to Tao then directing her speech to Takio. "You said your friend's name is Tao?" Akila asked Takio. He nodded his head. "Nice to meet you Tao. I'm Zara." She introduced herself to him. Akila already knew she was going to see more of these two. "Nice to meet you too." Tao said in his playful tone. Akila took a glimpse at the sun. It was slowly moving towards the horizon. "I'm sorry. I have to go back to my job. It was nice meeting you two gentlemen." Akila said and parted ways with the two, continuing her journey to Capsule Corp.

Once Akila arrived she was met with an empty house. The woman calmly walked to the back yard and was met with the sight of Whis and Lord Beerus here too. "What did I miss?" She asked the gathered group. "We went to a place called the Omni palace!" Goku exclaimed excitedly. Akila froze. She knew Zeno was planning to invite the saiyan over. Akila wished now thay she was here when they departed for the palace. She wanted to talk with Daishinkan. Akila immediately composed herself. Neither Whis nor Lord Beerus acted on what Goku said. They must think that 'Zara' has no idea what the Omni palace is. "Oh, okay." Akila said, deciding that it's best to stay away from this topic. "I'll go and prepare something to eat." Akila said to escape the group. She knew it wasn't time for dinner yet but the saiyans are hungry most of the time so her job as a cook can never go to waste. Akila know she can't keep her identity hidden forever. The only thing she do at the meantime is to avoid situations that would reveal her identity.
