25. The attack!

Norman squinted his eyes, “ if you’re here, I know that you are aware that someone is targeting us and burning our houses”, he grunted.

Isabella bit her cheeks, good, he was up to date with the case, now they were good to go.

“ why is that? Why is this person targeting you guys and why is he targeting just a specific set of persons?...” Johan asked him.

“ I don’t know…, if I do, I wouldn’t be running away. They just sent a message to us to withdraw from the case. Not everyone though, a specific set of persons. And at first, we thought that it was a joke until they burnt someone’s house. I thought it was too much of a coincidence to just happen..”, Norman told them.

So they were threatened, that was why they pulled out of the case. A question popped up in her mind, who would their action favor. With them pulling out of the case, it would only favor Mancap, except someone was pulling the strings behind the scene.

“ Is the message coming from Mancap?”, Johan asked.
