Harvests

The old man and I left that city at night. Our carriage was the last one to leave the city at that time. We had to get out of there as quickly as possible, and avoid diplomatic problems between those two countries.

Now everything was dark and the only light was the four oil candles in the carriage. It was very cold at that hour, I was only wearing a shirt and a pair of tights given to me by the guild. I felt a little uncomfortable in that.

The little I could see was that the road looked rough, too much brush everywhere and huge rocks everywhere. The horses were somewhat upset by the difficulty they were facing. I just lay down on one of the benches and started to fall asleep. I knew that if any creature could attack us, but the old man from what I heard had been a general or something like that.
