CHAPTER 2: SEBASTIAN SAVED HER

Richard and Margaret walked hand in hand into the hospital with their bodyguards, three bulky men dressed in black suits, walking behind them.

With a clear look of worry etched on their faces, Richard and Margaret had just gotten the call about their daughter from the hospital.

As they walked, they prayed it was not something serious.

Just then a nurse quickly rushed over to them, she bowed to them slightly and offered to lead them to where their daughter was.

"Oh, dear," Margaret called out, her tone distressed, as she saw her daughter sitting on the hospital bed.

"Celeste, are you okay?" Richard asked worriedly, as he gently grasped his daughter's hand.

Celeste gave a smile.

"I'm okay. He saved me," Celeste declared as she pointed to Sebastian, sleeping in the next bed.

While saving Celeste, he had hit his head hard on the ground when he fell with Celeste on him and it had made him pass out.

"Oh my God! What a nice Gentleman," Margaret stated, with a smile of relief on her face as she gaped at Sebastian.

"Why is he not awake yet? Did he get hurt while saving you?" Richard asked a little worried about the stranger who saved his daughter's life.

Celeste nodded with a sad look on her face.

"The doctor said he passed out because of a forced hit to the head," She replied.

"Oh dear, will he be alright?" Margaret asked worriedly

"Yes Mother, the doctor said he just needs to rest,"

"Oh thank God, he deserves a huge reward from us when he wakes up," Margaret stated and her husband nodded in agreement.

Just then Richard stood up to his feet, he walked over to the bodyguards.

"What were you all doing when my daughter was sleepwalking out of the house?!" He questioned in an angry tone,

"We are sorry sir, we didn't know," One of them said,

"We put you all in the house to protect her when we are not home, but you neglected your duties. What if something had happened to her? Just be thankful that nothing did," He was enraged,

"We all sorry sir," The bodyguards said in unison.

Sebastian was struggling to open his eyes, he finally did and it was all totally blurry at first. He blinked them several times while sitting up on the bed.

He slightly flinched as his eyes rested on the strange faces staring sternly at him.

Sebastian quickly gazed around and saw that he was in the hospital.

A look of confusion was evident on his face, his eyes rested on the lady's face that he had seen yesterday and he instantly remembered everything.

"You? Are you okay?" Sebastian asked,

"It seemed like you were sleepwalking last night and you almost got hit by a car," He added.

"I'm fine. Thank you so much for saving my life," Celeste said with a smile

Sebastian nodded with a relieved smile.

"These are my parents," Celeste said. Sebastian turned to the couple sitting on the bed beside Celeste.

"You are a Godsent, Young Man," Margaret uttered softly, a subtle smile framing her features as she reached to grasp his hand,

"We would like to reward you for saving our daughter's life," Richard offered,

Sebastian stared at him, surprise evident on his face.

"Reward? I don't think I deserve that," he let out

"You saved the Kensington's only heir, of course, you deserve a reward," Margaret said with a smile.

'Kensington?' Sebastian arched his brows, wondering why it sounded so familiar like something he had read on TV before.

With a total look of stupefaction and confusion on Sebastian's face, he watched as Margaret and Richard stood up with their daughter and started to walk away, two bodyguards walking behind them.

One of the bodyguards walked over to Sebastian.

"Please, this way," The bodyguard stated,

Sebastian slowly stood up, his eyes searching for his bag, just then a nurse came and gave it to him.

"It seems you are not aware, that's the Kensington Family, They own the hospital! And you saved their daughter's life, You have hit the jackpot!" The nurse quickly whispered to Sebastian whose eyes widened in shock and his lashes fluttered.

The bodyguard led him outside to where the cars were. He watched as the Kensingtons got into the first car which was a huge black Tesla while the bodyguard led him into the second Tesla car.

"Where are we going to?" Sebastian slowly asked as the car started, slowly driving behind the car that the Kensington's was in.

"You'll know soon," The bodyguard answered,

Minutes later, they arrived at a very big and stunning mansion, filled with lavishness and elegance at every corner.

Sebastian seeing the luxurious mansion was left speechless in awe and surprise.

He watched as a woman rushed out wearing a maid's outfit.

The maid gently grasped Celeste and led her inside.

"This way Young Man," Margaret said to Sebastian.

Sebastian nodded slowly and started to trail behind them into the mansion.

Sebastian was in Total marvel seeing the inside of the luxurious mansion, it was a paradise of extravagance and sophistication.

He had tested wealth before but obviously not this type, it was way above his level.

"Have a seat," Another woman in a maid outfit said to Sebastian as they stepped into the sitting room.

Sebastian, feeling a little intimidated, slowly sat down, his eyes looking around, still in awe at all that was before him, it felt like total heaven, he had forgotten how good being rich felt.

"What would you like to drink sir?" The maid asked.

"Uh..water, please," Sebastian replied.

After a few minutes later, the maid came out with a glass of water. Sebastian gulped it down in one take.

Moments later, Richard and Margaret came out and sat on the couch opposite Sebastian who was looking so nervous.

"Relax young man, you are in safe hands," Richard said with a soft chuckle

Sebastian nodded, feigning a smile.

"So, what is your name, young man?." Margaret asked,

"My name is Sebastian Everhart," Sebastian replied,

"Oh, what a beautiful name for a handsome young man like you," Margaret said with a smile,

"It is," Richard agreed, grinning.

"So what do you do?" Richard asked,

Sebastian was quite taken aback by his question because he had no answer to it.

"I'm.. I'm currently jobless." He admitted.

"I lost my job a year ago and I have been searching for another ever since then without any avail,"

"Oh dear." Margaret cooed with a sad tone,

"How have you been surviving?" She asked.

Sebastian sighed silently, the memories of yesterday still very fresh in his head.

"I was living with my girlfriend in her apartment but she sent me out after I caught her sleeping with another man, they called me a loser," Sebastian said, his eyes instantly became blurry, all the hurt he had felt the previous day coming back and hitting him way harder than it did before.

He fought hard and stopped the tears from streaming down his face, he didn't want to seem like a weak man crying in front of these total wealthy strangers.

"It's okay to cry if it hurts you, Sebastian," Margaret said coolly.

"And they would both regret calling you a loser. We will help you get back strong on your feet for saving our daughter's life," Richard said.

"Give me your Bank details," Richard added.
