Silence settled in the apartment of Bobo flex like dust settling after the storm but the tension was just rising.

Bobo Flex gaze burned on Amos. Dauntless shit. No guilt. No remorse. Just unfiltered hatred and anger that reddened his cheek.

Still on her seat but boiling, Madam Janet's eyes burned on Amos like ember— smoking hatred and disgust.

She stood up in the silence and sneered. "You, Amos, you have the guts to talk about who's a father, " Mock Sarcastic dripped in her tone. "You're speaking smart for a man who shouldn't even be called a man talk less of being a father..." A paused after the blow.

Her finger waved at Rose like he was a filth. "Now take a look at her," She said. "You're making a hapless girl suffer because of your poor life.

Should a man like you even have that gut to have an erection, and not to talk about you c*ming to bring her into your messy world. "

Amos's expression faltered slightly, the words hitting him harder than any blow. He wasn't man enough? Those words hit him like a punch, but he stood, unbending.

But Madame janet wasn't done. She knew just how to twist her syllables into blade. "You're a freeloader to your wife. A burden on her. How do you expect her to progress with someone like you, dragging her down into your mess."

Her laughter rang, cold as ice "Oh. You think taking shots with those machines can take you places and handle life expenses? You're being delusional, Amos!"

"Good thing she had you tossed out of that rent. That's more like the independent powerful woman she could have been."

"And just so you know that she's not in your league," Her head tilted, her grin sharp with mockery. "She paid thrice the rent to have you out. And that's the power move. That's taking the bull by the horn."

Amos paused. His world seemed to slowed. He blinked. One. Twice.

It was Lisa who had them thrown out of the house in the air. The woman he called his wife. Had shee been this heartless, hiding her blade under veil?

Even if she detested him because he had not much, what about their daughter? Rose. What was her offence.

Amos' looked like a clown now. Like he was the one who had been wrong since the discovery at Stellar entertainment.

But the reality was glaring; Amos had been a good husband to her, and a good father to their..his daughter. Even though he was barely scraping by, he always strives to put something on the table.

It wasn't Lisa who was paying the rent. It was him. He was the one!

Damn! She had the money all along. Million dollars adult star icon— Her filthy money, and yet she acted like she was empty broke.

Bobo Flex chipped in, his voice firm and dismissive.

"And listen, the next you barge into my house like this, you're going to get chopped by my dogs. Bone to bone," He sneered, his finger jabbing at the door. "Now get out!"

Amos didn't move. He took his stand, his voice steady. "I paid the rent myself. It was my money. I grinded for my cash with my own sweats," His voice grew confidently. "You can't throw me out of the house. The agreement was signed by me. Not Lisa. Not anybody. But me."

He continued nonchalantly.

" And if she paid thrice the rent, that's her problem and yours. Not mine," He took one step forward, the room quiet under his words. "And if you think you can just break our agreement when I broke no rules, then you'll have the law to contend with."

Bobo flex looked at him with an amusing smirk, his eyes glinting with mockery as he nodded gently like he knows better.

"Good reasons?" He laughed. Sharp. Unbothered. mockery. "Do you think someone like you deserves one good reason before getting cast out?" He said, shaking his head. "So pitiful you're blind to even see how miserable you really look."

"And if you're dialing the cop, then go Ahead. Go ahead," He taunted. "And see who gets arrested instead and tanked. Let your daughter see her poor father get dragged out on the floor like a trash sack."

Madam janet chuckled, hands folded on her chest, clearly enjoying the spectacle, while her kid grinned like the whole thing was an amusing cartoon.

"Your sob story is not going to save your ass, Amos. Money does. Money will. And it's really pitiful you have none."

"Your story is typical nonsense then."

Sophia exhaled sharply and turned to look at him."I'm so sorry, Kade.""Another important lesson, Sophia," Kade said sharply, "you shouldn't apologize on behalf of someone just because they're too dumb and unreasonable to accept their own mistakes."
