Meanwhile, Governor Darrus, Seraphina, and Dominic returned to the Hayes family residence.

The Lieutenant Governor, Avo, with his arrogant demeanor, had ruined the welcome dinner for Dominic, turning what should have been a warm occasion into a tense one.

Nevertheless, a spirit of optimism remained among them.

They were confident that Dominic would successfully take control of Morow State.

Their plans were solid, alliances firmly established, leaving no room for Max to turn the tables.

Max had already lost, and Dominic’s vision as the new leader of Morow State was becoming more tangible with each passing moment.

Darrus sat relaxed in the spacious living room.

Thoughts of the future began to fill his mind.

He felt proud of how his family had forged strong ties with Dominic’s influential family in the capital.

With these connections, Darrus envisioned a bright future ahead-opportunities for promotion, greater wealth, and an elevated social status.

He even imagined one day moving to the capital to further his promising political career.

All of it felt so close, just a few steps away.

Meanwhile, Dominic sat across the table, speaking confidently.

“It will only take me a year to manage Morow State better,” he declared, his eyes gleaming with ambition.

“The state’s GDP will soar to $30 trillion. I will bring about significant change.”

Dominic seemed as though he had meticulously planned everything.

Darrus felt assured that with Dominic in control, their future would proceed as planned, perhaps even faster than expected.

With a faint smile, Darrus responded.

“You’re absolutely right, Dominic,” he said, his voice filled with conviction.

“With your capabilities, I believe Morow State will develop much faster than anyone could imagine.”

Dominic turned to Darrus, his eyes bright with confidence.

“There’s no doubt about it. We’re here to support you, Dominic,” Darrus continued.

“Our families have long built a strong bond, and I’m confident that with the political power we’ve established together, we’ll dominate everything.”

“Morow State, the capital-everything will be under our control in no time.”

Seraphina, listening to the conversation, smiled contentedly, fully supporting her father’s words.

After their serious discussion about Morow State’s future, the atmosphere began to ease.

Darrus enjoyed a cup of tea while Seraphina and Dominic sat across from each other on the sofa, conversing in a more relaxed tone.

With a playful smile, Seraphina began to tease.

“Dominic,” she said softly.

"You know, I never let that lowlife Max kiss or fuck me," she added with a sly grin.

Dominic’s eyes lit up immediately, responding to her teasing with a gaze full of desire.

He chuckled lightly, a smug smile forming on his face.

“Of course. I knew he would never be worthy of you. No one compares to me.”

Seraphina laughed softly, enjoying her flirtation.

She knew exactly how to captivate Dominic and command his full attention.

“Of course. No one could ever compare to you,” she replied, looking at him with a gaze full of admiration.

Darrus, sitting quietly in a nearby chair, merely smiled.

His expression showed understanding, as if he was fully aware of what was unfolding between Seraphina and Dominic.

He didn’t want to interrupt them.

Instead, he felt relieved seeing their relationship develop.

Darrus knew that their feelings for each other would bring benefits to their family, and for him, that was more important than anything else.

“Perhaps I’ll head to my room.”

Darrus finally said, hinting it was time for him to leave and give them some space.

He stood up, leaving them with a knowing look, as if giving his blessing for their relationship to progress further.

Once Darrus was gone, the atmosphere in the room shifted.

It became more intimate!

Seraphina stood up, walking slowly toward Dominic with a mischievous gaze.

Without a word, Dominic pulled Seraphina into his arms, their bodies drawing closer.

Dominic’s hand gently stroked Seraphina’s hair, while Seraphina gazed at him with a passionate look.

“I want us to be closer, Dominic.”

She whispered, her voice filled with uncontrollable desire.

Seraphina took Dominic’s hand, leading him toward her luxurious private bathroom.

A large bathtub filled with warm, steaming water and overflowing bubbles awaited them, surrounded by aromatherapy candles exuding a gentle fragrance.

Of course, she had prepared all of this before.

As Dominic and Seraphina became increasingly lost in their intimacy, Dominic couldn’t resist mocking Max.

His face brimmed with arrogance, and his words flowed effortlessly.

“Imagine Max now, sitting in that prison cell,” he said with a light laugh.

“He must be wailing and crying, feeling so unfairly treated, while we’re having fun,” he continued.

Seraphina simply smiled, savoring every word Dominic uttered.

He carried on with even more confidence.

“Perhaps he’s still hoping, praying to get out, but that will never happen.”

However…

They had no idea that while they were caught up in their passion, Max’s situation in prison was completely different from what they imagined!

On the contrary, he wanted to lure them out of hiding to avenge the death of his master, Lord Hades. Max stepped into the villa. The melodious sound of a piano welcomed him. In the living room, Aurora was playing the piano, singing "City of Stars" with a beautiful voice. Max was captivated. He had just discovered that Aurora was not only good at playing the piano but also had a lovely voice. Max sat down next to Aurora. He smiled faintly. The more time passed, the more he admired the young woman. Aurora looked so beautiful when lost in the music. After Aurora finished, she was surprised to see Max already behind her, staring at her. "You're home?" Aurora asked. "Zoza said you wouldn't be home often

Outside the building… "Let go! Don't you know who I am?!" Sayo shouted angrily, trying to fight back. But the two security guards didn't care. They dragged him out of the hall, which was now filled with whispers and sneering glances. Sayo struggled and raged, but his efforts were in vain. Once outside, he was pushed roughly. His body stumbled and fell face-down on the asphalt. Sayo tried to get up, but he couldn't. His chest felt tight, and his breath was heavy. He couldn't accept this reality. All of this stemmed from the burning anger in his heart. Yes, he was the one who had ordered the committee not to provide a seat for Ladder Corp. The reason was simple: he wanted to teach Max a lesson because Max had refused his offer for him to marry his daughter, Sarah. Sayo had hoped that by not having a seat at such a big event, Max would be humiliated. He imagined Max would come to him, apologize, and finally agree to marry Sarah. Sayo had even prepared a scenario where he would "forg

Max stood still in his place, not saying a single word, only looking at Sayo with a calm gaze that somehow made the air around them feel even heavier.Sayo swallowed hard. His nervousness grew worse when he realized that Senator Hayam was now also looking at him… not with friendliness, but with a cold, pressing anger.“I… I can explain…” Sayo tried to speak, but before he could continue, Hayam stepped forward.Hayam reached out and grabbed the collar of Sayo’s suit with ease. But the words that came out of his mouth made the entire hall fall silent. “Starting today, you are removed from your position as Chairman of the Lanua Business Regulatory Council.”Sayo was stunned. His legs gave way, and without thinking, he knelt before Hayam. Gripping the edge of the senator’s suit, his voice shook as he pleaded, “Senator Hayam… please… do not fire me…”“I… I was wrong, but… please give me another chance…”The Business Regulatory Council in every city of Morrow State operates under the Busin

The senators seated in the front row finally turned their attention to the commotion at the registration area. When they saw Max standing there, some of them immediately rose and walked toward him.Among them, a man with neatly combed silver hair and a perfectly tailored dark suit stepped forward ahead of the others. He was sixty-three years old, yet every movement carried the authority of someone who had once commanded on the battlefield. He was Hayam, a senator from the Business Senior Chamber International (BSCI), an elite business organization representing prominent senior executives in Morrow State.Hayam was no ordinary man. He was a former war commander who had once been Max’s direct superior in the military. Even so, he regarded Max as an equal, not only because of Max’s accomplishments in the business world but also because of the unmatched skills Max had shown during the war, which Hayam could never forget. When he reached Max, Hayam smiled broadly. “Hi, Max. How have you be

It was clear that the committee member holding the walkie-talkie was starting to lose his composure. His fingers pressed the button with a faint click, and his voice caught slightly as he spoke to his colleague in the corner of the hall. They had never prepared a seat for Ladder Corp, and they never expected Max to come, let alone as a direct representative.Until now, they had not even known that Ladder Corp had any connection to an influential man like Max.Lysa, Fafo, and Tora quickly approached Max.“Mr. Max,” Lysa said, “before you arrived, we went around looking for Ladder Corp’s seat, but there was none. We spoke to the committee, and I even tried to explain directly to Mr. Sayo… but he simply did not care.”“That is true, Sir,” Fafo added, his tone still carrying traces of anger toward the committee.Tora nodded, his face tense. “They treated us as if we did not deserve to be here, Sir.”Max only glanced at them briefly, then shifted his gaze back toward the committee. Lysa’s steps came to a halt when two tall, muscular bodyguards blocked her path. Their posture was straight, faces expressionless, like steel walls impossible to break through. Behind them, the same committee member who had stopped her earlier walked closer.“I already told you, Mr. Sayo will not help you. Do not push your luck,” the committee member said.Lysa met his gaze, unflinching. “I want to speak to him directly. Mr. Sayo will want to listen.”She raised her voice and called out, “Mr. Sayo!”From the front row, the middle-aged man turned his head. His eyes were sharp, slightly curious, then he stood and took a few steps forward.“What seems to be the problem?” he asked briefly. The committee member quickly explained, “This woman claims to know you, Sir… and is asking for help regarding her company.”Lysa looked straight into Sayo’s eyes. “Mr. Sayo, you must remember me. A week ago, I came to the business regulator’s office to register Ladder Corp for Level Two. You are the one
