One less problem

The kick connected but it didn't do anything, Seth stood behind Stas and smiled at the beating this girl was going to receive. Stas took a breath as she used her free hand to punch the Commander. "Stas, it is really okay." Stas looked at her and back at Jiang before looking back at her and smiling, "You see, she just hit me, I can't let it go now!" Stas slammed his fist into the girl, and she dropped to her knees as all the breath left her lungs.

She tried to get back up but Stas let go of her wrist and slammed her face into a wall. He let his hand go as she slumped to the ground hurt and nearly unconscious. There was a splatter of blood on the wall as she scurried away, Jiang looked more happy. "Commander... It wasn't your concern if I was being bullied." Stas looked at Jiang with a small smile as the lines were closed and emptied.

"What kind of Commander would I be if I turned away from the bullying of my subordinates? Why was she even bullying you in the first place?" He looked up at Stas he looked a bit sheepish at his superior officer, "I didn't do her combat fitness homework which dropped her grade from a D+ to a D-." Stas sighed as he walked through the door and stopped halfway through, "Stand up for yourself more often. It does you wonders even if you lose. Never let someone break your back to reach their goals."

They walked through and sat down there were nearly 180 people but only 128 could qualify. They waited a minute before a girl walked in it was the newly promoted First Lieutenant Juila and she rose her voice to get everyone's attention. "Hello personnel, the sub-matches will be underway soon. I will demonstrate." She walked to a punching machine and punched it and it came to a total of 502. She then walked up to the treadmill and started running and after 10 seconds of running she got off.

"The treadmill matches your speed meaning that you can not run straight off. For the punching machine, you will have 3 tries and it will calculate the mean. Now number I will pick random numbers and they will be pitted against each other. For the first number, she pulled out her phone and used a random number generator, she looked up and spoke, "152 and 174." Jiang looked surprised and nervous as he walked up to the machine.

"Wait hold on, I also forgot to mention that the mean strength will be multiplied by speed. 152 since your number is lower, you punch first." 152 was a small boy with purple hair. He looked timid with freckles across his face. He pulled his hand back, he had no form and slammed his hand into the machine as it read, "61." One guy who was lanky, skinny with sliver hair started to burst out laughing at the guy's low score. She pulled his hand back again, "66" The whole room started snickering and "57." She added them then divided them by 3 then rounded. "61," She said as everyone started laughing.
