It felt like a vision, but it was not. It was something more.
“Adrian… my brother… I need you…” Adrian could hear Macy's voice inside his head. She was a C-class telepath who has never had to use her powers that much before. For her to channel that much magik, she was in danger! “Macy? Where are you!” Adrian asked. “Adrian… it hurts… so bad… help me… please…” the same eerie voice came in again “Macy!” “Help me!!!” And then, Adrian suddenly snapped back to reality. He was still standing in front of the courthouse. His heart raced inside his chest as adrenaline flooded his system. His sister was in danger! And he knew where to find her. Aunt Vee's house. Without sparing a second, Adrian zoomed off to the residence. It was just a stone throw away from the courthouse. In no time, he stood before the wooden house with shrivelling flowers around the main residence. Adrian knocked twice. While he struggled in the palace, his sister Macy was living with the wicked woman. Adrian knew that Macy's life wasn't an easy one with Aunt Vee, especially with her terminal illness. She had a disease that caused intermittent pain in her body. Adrian had looked for a cure but couldn't find one. He spent everything on it, still, nothing. But when he has saved enough, he wanted to take her out of there and travel to another Kingdom with Ciara to find a better life for all of them. That was until everything went to shit with Ciara. But Adrian couldn't wait anymore. He had to take her away from the harsh treatments she was undergoing in the house. “Help me!” Macy screamed from within the house. The shrill voice sent a wave of anger through Adrian's body. What was happening to her? Adrian punched the door and it flew open with a blast. Stepping inside, Adrian saw the horrible sight! Macy was pinned down by two men, getting tied up. Aunt Vee stood beside them, watching the drama with her arms crossed across her breast. Everyone froze as the explosion caused a momentary distraction. Aunt Vee's eyes fell on Adrian. “Adrian? What the fuck are you doing here? Why aren't you back in the palace doing your miserable job?” Aunt Vee spat at Adrian. “Get your fucking hands off her!” Adrian growled, clenching his fists. He dashed at the men holding Macy down and threw them off her. The men crashed into the tables and walls and Aunt Vee jerked back in shock. How did Adrian become so strong? Adrian crouched before his sister, and removed the gag they had placed on her mouth. Her eyes, filled with tears, gazed upon him. “Adrian… my brother…” she sobbed and hugged him tightly. Adrian's heart broke. She was looking thinner than the last time he saw her. While he focused all of his attention on his useless ex-wife, he had neglected his beloved sister. “This will never happen again,” Adrian swore to himself. Smack! Aunt Vee slapped Adrian on his shoulder. His eyes flashed at her and she jerked back in fear. But she refused to admit it. “How dare you come into this house to cause trouble? Have you lost your fucking mind?” Aunt Vee yelled at Adrian who stood up. “What the hell were you trying to do to Macy?” Adrian asked her, but Aunt Vee rolled her eyes. “All she does in this house is eat and cry for your return. So I wanted to make her more useful by making her work in Eagle's Bar!” Adrian froze. “Eagles Bar? That's a fucking brothel! You wanted to turn my sister into a whore?” Adrian fumed, the energy inside him pulsating with each heart beat. “Oh cut it! That would make her useful at least. Look at her. She's so frail and useless. She can't even do housework.” “Her illness makes her a liability. At least she doesn't require any special talent to wet a man's cock!” Aunt Vee spilled again. Adrian felt like punching her, but restrained himself for old times sake. “I'm taking her out of here,” he said to her and she laughed at him. “Are you fucking serious right now? Look at you, Adrian. You have nothing! You're a useless servant in the Grand Palace. They don't even pay you enough to do shit. If it wasn't for your in-laws, you would be living in the streets!” Aunt Vee's voice was cold. “Oh, is that what they told you?” He asked her with a smirk. That house was surviving off his salary. Of course they would lie to keep their face! “Yes! So don't even do anything stupid and leave Macy with me. In a few years, she would be a professional whore and can help your miserable life!” “Shut your fucking mouth, Aunt Vee!” Adrian yelled at her. Aunt Vee gasped. “How disrespectful! I should have turned you down the day you brought her sick ass to me!” Aunt Vee yelled at Adrian. Adrian ignored her. He crouched before his sister. “Can you walk?” He asked her. Macy winced in pain and shaked her head. Adrian nodded. “I'll carry you,” he said to her. But when he turned his head around, three other men stood beside Aunt Vee, all holding clubs and knives. Aunt Vee's eyes flashed with anger as she observed the pair. “If you wanna get her out of here, you must pay me for all the trouble she has caused!” Aunt Vee yelled at Adrian. “Do not make this harder than it already is,” Adrian said to Aunt Vee who pointed her finger at him. “Useless boy! Either you pay up for all she has consumed in this house, or I will kill you both!” She threatened him further Adrian cracked his neck. But while he stood, Macy held his hand. “Adrian… it's okay. Just leave me behind. These men are dangerous. They will hurt you. Just go. I'll accept my fate,” she sobbed. Adrian gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “I won't let anything happen to you,” he said to Macy before he turned his attention to the men Move. Or you will suffer!”Latest Chapter

42. The war alarm rang so loud it shook the buildings. Within minutes, the palace had changed into something else. The servants moved around wildly, and guards shouted orders at each other . Soldiers moved fast into the courtyard, fastening their armour and grabbing shields before standing in formation. Mages stood in rows, hands glowing faintly, ready. Everyone wondered what was going on as there had been no prior preparations for war. But the king told them to be steadfast. An hour passed by of them just waiting. Adrian stood beside the king on the high balcony overlooking the grounds. The king folded his arms and turned to Adrian. "Well, Sir Bloodson, I see no army. Do you?” The visiting dignitary behind them looked pale. "I should not have stayed the night.” The man muttered. "This is madness, I have to go home, my wife must be back from her visits too." Adrian kept his eyes on the horizon. "They're coming." The king exhaled. "My entire court is on edge becaus

41. Adrian couldn’t sleep. He had been able to get a few nights of rest after giving his condolences to the family of the dead… Ciara, but for some reason, this night was different. He sighed, forcing himself to go back to sleep, and that was when he heard a powerful voice in his head. “Wake up, Adrian!” Adrian sat upright in his bed with sweat running down his back. He looked around ti confirm that he was alone and sighed. "Who is there?” Adrian asked aloud. “Let me get some sleep!” “This is the powerful and mighty dragon, Adrian! You are running out of time!” Adrian felt a splitting headache come on, followed by a series of quick moving scenes. It was almost like he was in a trance, but he was awake and well. All the things he saw were extremely violent. He saw a battlefield where the sky was black with smoke and the air smelled like the mingling of blood and ash and fire. He turn r around to see a soldier run past him with half his face gone. Another one was crawli

40. Henry did not give Ciara's father any time to change his mind. Not like anything could even happen if he did. He had set his eyes on him even before he even offered to be the sacrifice. The old man barely had the door closed behind him before Henry grabbed his arm. "Move!” Henry said coldly. Ciara's father looked back once at his house. His wife was still on the floor, crying. "Please…” The old man said. "Be gentle with her, take care of them." “Yeah, whatever.” Was all Henry said. "Your highness?” Ciara’s father said, struggling to breathe as he got into the carriage. "Do you swear that my daughter will live if I die?" Henry didn't even look at him. "Yes, why are you asking? Cold feet already? Too afraid to trade the fate of your daughter?” Ciara’s father shook his head. “None of those, I just want to be sure. I’m about to die.” When they got to the palace, Prince Henry ignored everyone greeting him and went straight up to his father’s chambers. "Announ

39. Henry did not stop walking until the court doors were far behind him. His chest was tight and his hands were still shaking. Just one slip up was all it would have taken to ruin his reputation. "Stupid woman!” He cursed under his breath. He pushed open the door to the private lounge bar at the palace and grabbed the first bottle he saw. He didn't even bother with a cup. He drank straight from it. The burn hit his throat and he welcomed it. “Sir, are you…?” The bartender asked but then left immediately Henry shot him a withering glare. "How the hell did it get this messy?" He whispered to himself. He knew it. He shouldn’t have gotten involved with Ciara, but he just couldn’t resist her charms when she came on to him. He took another large swig and then slammed the bottle down on the table so hard that there was a small crack at the bottom. "I should've never touched that dumb bitch." But he knew that was a lie. He had wanted Ciara even before she came on to him.

38. It didn’t take long to summon the court again. The members were still gossiping from the last trial when the royal bells rang and messengers were sent out to give the members of the court their urgent invitations. They all rushed in, wondering what could possibly make the king summon them urgently. The most urgent meeting there was had a day’s notice and it was the last case of Sir Bloodson VS the kingdom. "This had better be good.” One of the ladies said, taking her seat. "It's that Bloodson again, I’m sure. Before him, we always had a week’s notice.” “Maybe he has another dramatic speech prepared to sway his majesty." The doors opened. The king walked in first with his guards and a serious look on his face, followed by Princess Sue who looked quite pleased, and then Prince Henry followed close behind. Adrian came in last, dressed in plain clean clothes this time, though the bruises on his face were still there. The murmuring grew louder and then the king raised

37. The guards were not pleased releasing Adrian, but they had no choice. Adrian could see it in their eyes that if it were up to them, the trial would have gone a lot differently. But right now, Adrian had bigger fish to fry. He fell to the ground the moment the chains were gone, unable to feel his limbs. But then he stood up, and then he walked out, now temporarily free. I need to tend to my wounds, he thought, rubbing the raw spots on his wrists. As he walked out, he heard an all-too familiar voice. "Murderer!” He turned to see Ciara glaring at him. “Did you really think you could twist the king's mind with your weakness? Pathetic." Adrian didn't even glance her way. He walked straight past her, ignoring her taunts. She was his enemy now, she had tried to have him executed. But why did she hate him so? Even after he left her to fool around with the prince as much as she wanted? He shook his head. He was having too many thoughts at once. What he needed now was a calm
