Burgundy country…..

Immediately the last word was said everyone around the world saw a scene that would forever remain etched in their memories.

The sky was falling!

Well not like the sky actually fell.

Rather this was the result of another dimension being imposed on Earth's spatial plane!

The next moment the whole world shook once more before everywhere went quiet.

Immediately the sounds of sirens filled the air as police car and rescue workers rushed towards various places that reported casualties.

Right when everyone was wondering how weird the last few seconds had been gigantic, blood red portals suddenly appeared in the sky, ground, oceans even in the middle of busy streets!

In every continent, in every country these strange portals suddenly appeared. As if with tacit understanding military personnel suddenly rushed to cordone away the gates from civilians who were trying to see what was happening.

“Arrgh!”

Right then a miserable cry rent the air!

It turned out that a one of the reporters had snuck his way past the military line and had gotten close to the blood red hole.

Instead of the initial excitement on his face though an expression of extreme horror could be seen in his eyes which were quickly dimming as a clawed arm slowly slid out of his head.

Thud!

Screeeeeech!

Followed by an extremely grating screech something stepped out of the portal.

The creature looked like the kind of abomination your expect when a human being and an octopus decided to have a baby.

There was no skin on it's body, only muscle and and some slimy liquid that caused the asphalt to sizzle as it dripped on the floor.

Looking at the crowd with it's three disorienting eyes it raised it's claws before disaapearing. The next moment the armoured tank blocking the way was sliced cleanly into two.

“Run, run, run monsters!”

Finally after what seemed like an eternity,the onlookers who had seemingly been petrified suddenly regained their senses as they looked at the horrific scene before them.

Immediately the crowd went into full blown panic as people started running, pushing and dragging others all in a bid to get away from this portal to hell!

But could they?

From the portal more of these tentacled monsters emerged before dashing into the panicking crowd. In a matter of seconds limbs were flying around.

“Open fire!!!”

Thanks to the trainings they had gone through the military weren't that useless as they unleashed the fury of their guns on the monsters but to ther shock they discovered that the weapons they were proud of were actually useless.

The monsters simply shrugged them off!

The whole scene was one of utter chaos full of people trying to get as far away as possible as smoke from burning cars filled the skies.

Standing in the middle of the road a priest in white robes stood while holding a huge cross.

“This is the end of the world! The end! Accept the lord's light in your heart! Ace…glugluglu”

He was still in the middle of his empassioned speech when blood flowed out of his mouth staining his white robes. The next moment he feel to the ground lifelessly while a monster passed by him.

Similar scenes were happening all around the world as numerous monsters appeared along with hordes of zombie like creatures.

The real apocalypse had just truly begun!

“Fuck!”

Back inside the mall, Dante was currently also facing a big issue.

“Why now of all times?!"

After that demon like voice appeared the system suddenly went quiet. He had expected it to come back after the dimensional merging of Earth's spatial planes but rather the system had suddenly shown a downloading update icon.

His gear were still in the inventory!

Before he could think too much about this though a blood red ball of light which quickly expanded into a circle directly appeared in the middle of the mall’s central axis.

Since the mall was built in the form of a tall ring everyone was able to see it at the same time.

Seeing this Dante's eyes twitched a little.

Just kill me already!

Why was it that a gateway manifested at the same, exact moment he wasn't able to retrieve his weapons?

While mosnt people might not know what the blood red portals was how could Dante not be aware? These portals were gateways, passages to another world that gave the zombies and monsters access to Earth. It was somehow like a spatial tunnel.

“Great, next now what? A bunch of zombies are gonna come out of it?”

The moment he said that guttural growls came from inside the portal as human like figures rushed out like a tide.

“Oh shit jinx my mouth!”

Down below a bunch of the mall's security guards quickly approached the “people" that came out of these portals.

While the rest were trying to stop the curious onlookers a fat officer who looked like the boss walked in the direction of the portal.

Today was already crazy enough for him, first the sky crashed somehow, then he heard a scary voice in his head and now people suddenly appeared directly out of holes in thin air!

Seriously?

Wasn't this stimulation too much?

This wasn't included in my contract agreement!

“Friend, I don't know what stunt you were trying to pull off but…. glugluglu.”

The fat security officer had just arrived in front of the closest “person” when said person suddenly lunged at him.

Before his hand could reach for the baton by his side a huge chunk of his neck was already bitten off while blood was spurting madly.

Frantically he grabbed his neck to stop the bleeding with no success, he was becoming weaker by the moment until finally he fell unconscious.

“Boss!"

"Save the boss!”

“You bastards!"

The other guards seeing this had blood rushing to their heads as they ran to save the fat man but before they could reach him the thing that bit him suddenly turned it's icy cold gaze at them causing them to freeze in fear.

“Zo..zo…zombies!”

A short security officer who was at the forefront of the charge suddenly screamed loudly while at the same moment a foul odor spread outwards from him as a large patch appeared on his trousers.

It turned out that he had soiled himself from fear!

Forgetting about the fact that he was about to get justice for his boss he turned tail to run but could he?

In fact could they?

Before he could take a step one of the zombies had already flew at him pushing him down before his miserable cries were heard. The others weren't also waiting behind as they dashed towards the remaining officers.

Roowaar!

At the same time the fat security guard boss shockingly stood up.

This time though he looked different as his irisis had turned a scarlet red while his skin had gone extremely pale.

Without hesitation he rushed into the crowd of terrified onlookers along with the other zombies.

The security boss had also become a zombie!
