One more day had passed and Robin now stood before a large mirror, putting the last finishing touches on his clothes. He looked polished, clad in a dark brown suit and black leather shoes.

His bedroom screamed silent luxury and opulence. He had since moved into the most luxurious residential area in Westbourne, surrounded by top officials.

Tonight, they were going to decide the fate of Chairman Wells as well as Brother West, the mayor, and the attendants who were in cahoots.

Chairman Wells had unexpectedly been silent as opposed to how everyone thought he would move around the board members looking for favors and mercy. The board was determined to throw him out and Robin was standing on that.

Robin was ushered to his Maybach, his car for the night and he was driven straight to the Sky International Hotel where the board meeting was going to be held.

As they all filed in, Robin sat right beside Chairman Black, with every other board member sitting at the table, all tense. Only Robi

“Don’t fucking waste my time! You bitch!” Carla hurled her makeup box at the makeup artist there to doll her up. The hairstylist stood aside, shivering and hoping she wouldn't get punished by their boss. The two workers had now experienced Carla’s full wrath after the news of Daina’s punishment reached them. The incident that happened at Kia Fashion where Daina accused Robin of assaulting her had left a scar on all the workers. Even though Daina lied, Carla didn't fail to punish them all. The workers at Kia Fashion all thought they had found a good place to work after they were picked off the streets but it turned out to be worse than the streets and unfortunately they couldn't back out. Carla treated them as slaves and sent them on several errands, jobs that they weren't capable of taking on. They had to cater to her every day too. “If my hair gets messy by the end of the day, I am going to send you to hell!” She yelled at the hairstylist, sending a hot curling iron her way. Th

  • Bad Karma

Robin took a few minutes to think of what was going to happen next. He didn't want to lash out at this man for pushing his daughter into such a thing. “Why would you sign a contract like that with the Davensons? What prompted you?” Dean looked away, feeling embarrassed. He felt he wasn't a competent father anymore. He was one who watched his daughter jump into the fire. “We have known the Davensons for years, and we see them as a respectable family. We never thought they might have any ulterior motives and the contract was just to make sure Cora gets married to their son.”That explanation didn't cut it for Robin at all. The Davensons, respectable?! He wanted to laugh in Dean’s face. If they had even an iota of shame, they wouldn't disown their child and even years later, they still wouldn't let that child be. “When Cora is found, you can reflect on your actions, Mr. Adams.” He said simply. “But for now, I would like you to send me a copy of the contract. Is that okay?”“Yes.” Dea

  • Let Them Wait

Robin stared at Chairman Black with his nose upturned. The old man refused to tell him the truth but even though he disliked Robin’s association with Cora, he seemed too concerned about the situation.“You want her.” He had said to Robin. “Go get her! Get everything you want in this life. You don't have to deny yourself any longer.”The old man was in tune with him, suddenly supporting him after angrily rebuking him for missing the meeting. As the old man left, Mason walked to stand beside him, “The members of the board have been calling nonstop. They want to schedule another meeting with you as soon as possible.”Robin smiled, a thrill coursing through his body. They had neglected him once, never again. He would make himself useful enough so they would always need him. “Tell them when I have time for a meeting, I will let them know. Let them wait.” He was in charge now. The proposal he had sent to them was intriguing enough, an idea they hadn't come across before which would bring

  • I Am Not A Pushover

The board meeting had been going on for over an hour now and when Robin reached the meeting venue, a few attendants rushed out to meet him but he dismissed them all immediately. He reached the door of the meeting room and he immediately pushed it open. Every activity in the room stopped and they all turned to look at him.James scrunched his face up in displeasure. Even Michael and Jackson didn't seem to like his attitude that much and they shifted in their seats uncomfortably. While Chairman Blackman just looked away nonchalantly. “Robin Davenson, is this the kind of attitude you want to bring to the board?” James began. “You couldn't even attend a meeting on time!”“How sure are we that we can trust you with the new project?!” Robin pursed his lips, hating the way they reprimanded him. They had their faults too and none of them were willing to own up to it. “As far as the project is concerned, you don't need to worry. I have sent detailed documents to your personal emails, you

  • I Love You, Robin

“Out of the way everyone!” Carla barked orders at them and the girls as well as the burly guys who were there to teach Robin a lesson quickly backed away. They quickly realized their boss had gotten angry and thought that she was about to deal the final blow to Robin. He was there, his back against the receptionist's stand and his arms folded, calmly reeling in the sheer stupidity of this staff. He had to stay quiet when he realized Carla was coming and the men who had tried to intimidate him didn't dare touch him when they felt his pressurizing gaze on them. Carla walked closer to him, her smile smooth. She moved in a little closer, surprising her workers and then she moved to embrace him. However, Robin stepped to the side with a displeased face. He scrunched up his face like Carla stunk which made her hands freeze in the air. “Robin…” She gritted her teeth, unable to turn back to look at her workers who now had bewildered looks. They wondered what was going on here. “Everyone

  • Don’t Fire Me

Those words from the receptionist rang in Robin’s ears uncomfortably. What sort of blatant accusation was that? He didn't even touch the hem of her garment not to talk of touching her body. “Excuse me, you shouldn't say what is not right. You can't accuse me of something I didn't do.” He stepped forward with a warning glare. However, the receptionist only ran behind the assistant and started to shiver. She formed a frail look and held on to the assistant’s shirt tightly. “Don’t let him close to me, please.” She whispered, my eyes had turned red already with tears pooling in them. “You don’t believe her, right?” Robin’s gaze flickered to the assistant. On the other hand, the assistant sized him up, seeing that he was dressed exceptionally well. He looked like a respected young man who was at the top. Though he couldn't recognize Robin’s face, it didn't matter because so many men like him would come in, just for one thing. To get a girl. “I am sorry, she is my staff and I would h
