Inducements And Threats

After getting information about the Monesta king from Daran. Baul Bart is seen running fast and entering an old house. Baul's breath hitched immediately, instead of directly conveying the message. The former prime minister sat down.

"Sir ...."

Erland was busy wiping the sword. "Why?"

"King Burke Dalbert is on his way to the elf quarters."

"Why is that coward going there?" asked Erland with his eyes not looking at Baul at all.

"Casey's magic veil is broken and will open in a few days. The king seems to have ordered three groups to gather and fight Casey," Baul said in a hurry.

"Oh."

"Sir," Baul protested seeing Erland's casual reaction.

Erland's eyes rose and looked at the panicked Baul. "Keep going?"

"The veil of magic will open and the demon king Casey will come out!"

"Isn't that great? That way I can see my father's appearance," Erland said, making Baul panic even more.

"Sir. If Casey returns, then the land of Monesta will be destroyed!"

Erland grinned. "Not all demons are bad, but all demons are not good."

Baul sighed hearing Erland's words. Then Baul started to stand up when he saw him get up from sitting. Erland opened the sword made by his father, if it is in someone else's hand it will vibrate and absorb energy. But in Erland's grip, this sword flashed briefly. Really recognized the owner.

"So it's likely I'll run into emissaries of fairies, wizards and dragons on my way to Halton?" asked Erland getting serious.

Baual nodded. "Such a possibility."

"All right. After Halton, I'm also going to Drake City and meet my father," Erland said, making Baul Bart surprised.

"Lord Erland!"

Erland grinned. "I'm kidding. Have you picked someone to accompany me to Halton yet?"

"What about Daran, sir?" Bart Bart offered.

"That ugly bird," said Erland and Baul smiled sadly, there were times when Erland's mouth could not be controlled.

***

King Burke Dalbert is seen taking Myron's badge to Ethelind, the city of fairies. Even though it came suddenly, the guards at the Ethelind gate quickly conveyed it to Asher Barnes, the leader of the fairy city. So Asher is now looking down with his hand on his chest. The way fairies greet others.

"Welcome to Ethelind, King Burke Dalbert," Asher Barnes said quietly.

Asher stared fixedly at the Monesta king who was holding Myron's badge. While Burke's eyes seemed to count the number of fairies lined up ahead. The rules in the fairy are so clear, the lower the power, the farther the place is lined up.

"You must have heard about Casey's magic veil starting to crack right?" asked King Burke.

"We've heard of it, King Burke Dalbert," Asher said, remaining calm and authoritative.

"Why are there only seven high level fairies? Are you guys not teaching them or are they lazy to learn?" asked King Burke with a serious expression.

"Fairies are slower to grow, only at a certain age will we unlock their energy core. And only seven fairies are mature enough."

"Casey will come out of the magic veil that Juliana made. Are you going to give just seven fairies? When we ask 30 people from each group?" asked Burke slightly angrily.

Asher looked at the king. "Only strengthening the magic veil, it should involve 5 fairies enough. Without the help of other groups."

King Monesta snorted. "What if the fairies come to Drake, but Casey is already free? Do you think the fairies will return safely!"

"From the start the King intended to attack, right? Not to strengthen the magic veil and keep Casey locked in it," Asher alluded, also carried away by emotion.

King Burke Dalbert grinned. "Indeed. Isn't it just by killing Casey, then not only Monesta. But, the whole world will be peaceful."

"Don't you want to live in peace? Without worrying that one day the devil will come and disrupt the world?" Burke continued making Asher stare fiercely.

"Casey is not an ordinary demon! He is a king! The reason Juliana locked Casey and didn't kill, is because he is a king. The demon group is ruthless, if they want they can seal Myron! Then attack the whole city!"

The atmosphere became heated, making the fairies anxious. Since ancient times, the relationship between fairies and wizards has not been good. Especially because of Casey's problem, making the relationship even more fractured.

"Can't remember why Casey even thought of making a Myron badge and sneaking into the elf group?" king Burke's quip made Asher hold back his anger.

"Juliana's beauty, a group of fairies. Because of Juliana too, Monesta was almost destroyed. Do I need to tell you about the events at that time in more detail?" continued the Monesta king with a cynical smile.

Asher took a deep breath and looked down. "Yes King. However, we can only provide 3 high-level and 2 medium-level fairies."

Burke's face turned angry. "I asked for 30 people! You gave 3 out of 7 high level fairies instead!"

Asher looked at the Monesta king seriously. "However, we also have to prepare ourselves for when Casey first comes out and exterminates the groups on the way."

Finally with a long negotiation. Asher, who was so chuckled with the decision, made the king of Monesta accept a number of 3 high-level fairies and 2 medium-level fairies reluctantly. Then went home to Monesta annoyed.

Even though the king of Monesta should also come to the dragon group in person, to ask for help. Due to past disputes, only the king's eunuchs came to bring orders. Burke Dalbert was angry again because he only got 2 people from the dragon group.

"How many people will be leaving?" he asked.

At this time Erland was preparing to go to Halton, and Erland had to agree to take Daran along. However, Erland's forehead wrinkled because he didn't get an answer. There was only the sound of packing things.

Erland chuckled angrily as he turned his head. "Are you going to build a house? O bird?"

Daran turned his head no less annoyed to be called a bird. "Wouldn't a trip to Halton take 4 days if we hurry? And we need sleep, we can't go 4 days without rest right?"

Erland grinned at the large bag Daran was carrying. "Of course."

Daran was surprised. "Seriously? We're not going to take a break?"

"Yes. Go if you don't want to," Erland said, starting to walk away.

Daran saw the binding spell cast by Baul Bart so that he would stay by Erland's side. "It's too late for you to kick me out, Master."

Daran followed Erland's feet before far away, then made the binding spell activate. Making Daran's body float and fall around Erland, leaving his master as a consequence.

"So, how many people left?" asked Erland still curious.

"5 fairies, 2 dragons and 15 witches including the two of us," said Daran.

Yes, Erland followed Baul Bart's advice. To revert to Beardsley's identity. And the leader in the Beardsley family suggested Erland to the king to be included. Soon Erland will gather with fairies, wizards and dragon groups.

Erland grinned. "He intends to strengthen the magic barrier or even prepare for war?"

Daran looked at Erland. "King Monesta intends to kill Casey. But, won't that make the devil group angry?"

Erland stared at the sword in the right hand. "Yes. Even heard that many people are heading to Drake City alone. It is certain that the demons will find a way across the river Elmer."

Daran got scared and walked next to Erland. "There will be demons stalking the journey right?"

Seeing that Daran was already scared, Erland snorted. "Unlucky."
