Alliance Formation

After hearing that there was a possibility that a demonic group would be lurking. Daran just kept walking next to Erland. And Erland regretted his actions that brought people suggested by Baul Bart. Daran wouldn't be a partner when there was an attack, it would actually trouble Erland.

"Shouldn't we go to the Beardsley residence first?" asked Daran surprised because Erland kept walking.

Erland's eyes glanced at the Beardsley residence which could be found after turning left. "Why? You want me to go home and get a carriage? Then go to the palace using it like a woman?"

Daran took a deep breath. "Aren't you tired of walking all the time? Even going to the palace takes all day."

Erland grinned. Maybe for a magician, walking would be exhausting. But it's different with Erland who comes from the devil group. Moreover, Erland inherited the blood of the king, also the blood of a fairy.

Erland's guess was absolutely right. After night came, Daran insisted on staying at an inn. Bancroft, everyone knows this place. Lodging is also a place to sell all information and they usually pay a high price.

"Can't you turn into a bird, why don't you look for a branch and perch there? You're actually draining my pockets," Erland commented seeing Daran sleeping on a long chair.

Daran turned to him who was occupying the bed. "Apart from being from the wealthy Beardsley family, Master also has business on the Flint border. Just paying for lodging, should be a trifle."

"Yes, all right," Erland said briefly and lay his back on Daran.

Daran took a breath and muttered, "Even though I really want to book two rooms, and feel the soft bed here."

Erland stared at the wall of the inn and muttered, "So, I'm going to meet people who want to kill my father a second time."

Daran glanced. "Sir, did you just talk?"

"No."

Erland entered the halls of the Monesta palace, the place he used to frequent as a child with Aaron Beardsley, his adoptive father. This time, he came back as Aaron's seventh son. A son with a talent for wielding a sword, that's the rumor going around.

"Wow, it turns out that the palace is this wide," Daran said with amazed eyes.

"Watch your eyes, the king doesn't like other people enjoying the beauty of his palace. I often hear that their heads are cut off," said Erland with cold eyes.

Daran looked down. "Then I'll just pretend to be blind."

Erland stared ahead. "I am kidding."

Daran looked at him in disbelief. Yes, because Erland joked with a cold face and eyes. Who would have thought that it was just a joke. Erland's eyes stared at the 20 people from the three groups already gathered. Counting him and Daran who were standing in the last row, it was 22 people in total.

"You know, young master Erland Beardsley is very ugly, that's why he rarely goes out of the house. Apart from that he has a hunched body and crooked teeth."

Daran, who heard the words of the small woman, immediately shot Erland. Erland himself stared intently at this first elf, the elf who caught Erland helping a witch who was almost sacrificed in the Elmer river.

Daran approached the fairies. "That's right. Besides, Mr. Erland is said to eat children."

The little elf glanced over. "Isn't it? It turns out that Mr. Erland is like that."

Daran looked serious. "By the way, how could a fairy like you know about Mr. Erland? He said he never left the house, were you the one who came to the Beardsley residence?"

"Eh?" This fairy smiled sweetly, "I only heard rumors during the trip to the palace."

"Lord Erland."

The eyes of the four fairies immediately fell on Arthur, the second son of Asher, the leader of the fairies. At this time Arthur was greeting Erland who immediately turned his head.

"Didn't expect that we would meet and travel together, Mr. Erland," Arthur said politely.

"Hm, yes. Long time no see Arthur," he said coldly.

However, the four fairies consisting of two women and two men immediately gaped. Erland is very handsome, different from the rumors circulating. Until Erland's eyes fell on the little fairy who spread bad things about him.

"Am I too different from your expectations, fairy?" asked Erland making this elf smile and seem to want to disappear from the earth.

Arthur stared hard. "Laura, still not sorry?"

The little elf, whose name was Laura Jessany, started to look down. "Forgive me for my impudence for randomly spreading rumors."

"Master Erland," Laura continued with raised eyes and looked at Erland.

However, Erland chose not to answer and started talking to Arthur. As a child, Erland helped Arthur, who secretly got out of the fairy city and almost fell into the Elmer river. Until Erland and Arthur often exchanged opinions across the Elmer river border.

While Laura was looking at Erland seriously. Maybe this elf was aware of Erland's figure that night, the wizard who could stand on the surface of the Elmer River without Myron. However, when Erland's eyes glanced. Laura Jessany immediately looked away.

"The king has arrived!" the exclamation was heard making everyone salute, except Erland.

Daran was surprised and rushed to make Erland bow before he was caught. And Erland brushed aside Daran's hand, so he was the first to raise his head. Making Burke Dalbert's eyes fall on him, but the middle-aged man flashed a smile.

"Why did Aaron Beardsley send his seventh son? Not the first or second son?" asked Burke Dalbert to the left hand, Aldric Ardolph, a man who was the same age as Erland.

"If it's the first or the second son, then the Beardsley residence will lose a successor. Isn't our aim is war, your majesty?" offended Aldric Ardolph.

He grinned. "You're right. The pile of trash down there is about to disappear."

"That's right, Your Highness." Aldric's eyes immediately fell on her who was also staring, but more piercingly.

"Then tell them to hurry," Burke Dilbert ordered.

"Yes your majesty," said Aldric and began to step forward.

"The king orders you to immediately rush to Drake's city and repair the magic veil!" cried Aldric.

"Yes, Your Majesty the King!" 21 people heard exclamations, and yes, Erland certainly didn't participate.

At this time, all the envoys from the three groups started to leave the palace hall. Witches carry weapons in the form of swords, some with their bare hands and only rely on spells. The fairies carried arrows and most of them were pathfinders as well as creating illusions.

While the group of dragons fight with their bodies and spit fire when changing form. And this person who was walking beside Erland, only brought some obscure camping equipment. Daran who heard his sigh immediately turned around.

"What's wrong Mister Erland?"

"Nothing," he said coldly.

"If it's just repairing the magic veil, it should be enough for a few fairies and witches. Then the king should provide us with an airplane instead of ordering them to walk and secretly come to Drake's city."

Several eyes glanced at the complaining female witch, more accurately representing everyone's complaints. Erland also glanced at it then grinned. No wonder he dared to complain, Erland knew who this wizard was.

"Even in the middle of the journey, Casey will emerge from the veil of his magic. Isn't that what you think of Adaline Dalbert's daughter?" Erland quipped.

All pairs of eyes immediately glanced at the witch who turned out to be Adaline Dalbert. Who doesn't know Adaline? The second daughter of king Burke Dalbert. Now this king's daughter is disguising herself as an ordinary witch and joining her on a journey.
