Mia dialed the number with a sense of urgency, hoping to connect with Henry's father directly. After a few rings, a female voice answered, "Humphrey's residence, how may I assist you?"

"Good evening, ma'am. It's Mia, Henry's assistant. I need to speak with Mr. Humphrey urgently," Mia stated, her voice steady, eyes fixed on Henry. The phone was on a loudspeaker so he could hear every single thing.

"I'm sorry, Mia, but Mr. Humphrey is currently in a crucial meeting and as his secretary, I can't afford to disturb him. I can relay a message or schedule a callback once he's available," the secretary responded professionally.

"This is a matter of utmost importance. Henry needs to speak with him directly. Please, let him know it's urgent," Mia emphasized, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.

The secretary sighed on the other end, sensing the urgency in Mia's plea. "I'll try my best to get the message to Mr. Humphrey as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding."
