"You! What have you done!"
Rex had almost forgotten that he was with someone in the hall.
Annoid jerked up from the ground with a growl, his eyes maddened with rage.
"I'm going to make sure that you're dead!" He attacked Rex who slid out of the way and shoved a fist into his stomach, sending him flying through the hall.
Rex was shocked at the impact of the fist that connected, his body feeling every bit lighter. Blood poured from Annoid's mouth and he instantly fainted.
"We need to leave right now!" said Rex.
Annoid was still nobility and he had not grown enough to start throwing everyone's dead weight around or he would be dead any moment.
"And you need to change back to your initial form, people are afraid of what they do not know and we would not want anyone experimenting on you. For Annoid, we will find an explanation later!"
Lung grumbled before returning back to his original form.
Soon, Rex was in the waiting room where they would stay for a few weeks and learn about the arcane academy before they were taken off to there.
His room was small but it was unlike anything Rex had seen before.
It didn't have cooking utensils and a heap of clothing and more importantly, it had a bed, a luxury that Rex's parents could not afford.
Rex jumped on it like it was gold while Lung snorted.
That night, he slept like a king until the warden banged the door multiple times.
Rex sprinted to get the door open as his face met with that of the warden who instantly frowned at the sight of him.
"Put on some clothes and follow me, and lest I forget, your beast should come along with you!" He said.
Quickly, Rex slammed his clothes on and followed the warden while Lung crawled lazily behind him with its usual trail of slime.
Soon, they were in a grand office with pictures and Darius sat at the table.
But there was someone else that was standing and someone familiar, Annoid.
The instant the teenager felt Rex's presence, all hell broke loose, as he yelled with anger and his fist rushed after Rex but he was quickly held.
"That's him, he killed my beast, that evil creature of his, but I don't know what it is, it killed him!" He yelled.
"You heard him Rex!" The man said almost with a lengthy yawn. "The young man claims you killed his beast, how true is that?"
Rex paused, looked at Annoid, then at the principal and then at his beast.
"It's not true. Look at the disappointing thing, it couldn't even pass the test yesterday!"
"Right!" Darius responded.
"You liar!" Annoid growled.
"Tell them the truth... he's lying, you have to punish him!"
This time, Darius could no longer control his rage at such teenage outburst.
"I have told you already Annoid, these things happen. The most likely explanation is that your beast returned back to the beast world when it couldn't bond with you and nothing more!"
"There's no way an earthworm could kill a snake. I know we all hate that he is here but that still isn't enough reason to blame him for what he knows nothing about!"
"I swear sir. It wasn't an earthworm. It had scales, furs, and a horn." Annoid described his hands on his head as he showcased desperately.
"You have been affected too much by the grief Annoid. We would inform your parents and move you off to a rehabilitation home for now until you're fine enough to be integrated back into the society." Darius sighed right after the last words.
Annoid growled and cried, however, he was dragged away from the place when no one would believe him.
Darius turned to Rex and handed him a card.
"Head to the introduction hall, everyone is there already and make do with what you have!" The disdain in his voice was aimed at Lung who instantly growled back at the young man in ways that only Rex could understand.
Rex was able to persuade him to tag along with promises of subsequent hunting expeditions later that week.
In the hall, everyone waited with heightened anticipation.
They were about to go through the grouping rituals where each would be randomly given a team member who they would work with for the two-year period and train with.
It was more like a relationship for the rest of their lives except one of them forfeit but the consequences were severe and no one had been heard of to do such a thing.
While they were about to begin the process, a stunning lady walked right into the hall, one that made most of the students gawk almost instantly.
She came alongside the long list of students that were in the other halls in the region from all the eleven regions of the realms.
Rex's heart instantly skipped a beat as he recognized her instantly.
She was nobility in his former school before she was transferred by her parents because of him. During an inter-house sport competition, their lips accidentally jammed in a fall and she blamed him ever since for taking away her first kiss from her and hated him since the event occurred.
Harold was lost in his stare and Patricia snared in jealousy at the sight of the beauty that was far above her.
Harold walked right up to her, thinking he would be acknowledged but she only walked past him like breeze and nothing more.
Then her eyes crossed paths with that of Rex and she frowned deeply.
The supervisor coughed and the pairing began. Patricia was elated after she was paired with Harold but he kept frowning throughout, his eyes glued to another lady that would not acknowledge his presence.
Meanwhile, Rex kept finding the person that had the same number as him until there were just two persons left in the hall.
Emma and him. He looked at her card and back at his, and shock paled into his skin noticing that they had the same number.
"22."
"I have to be tied to a pathetic loser forever with a beast that drags itself through life?" She growled with a frown, but even her anger seemed seductive.

Rex was forced to take another peek at his nonchalant looking beast.Lung's mockery soon melted into a scoff, slowly trotting towards his direction with renewed laziness and pride."I don't know if you're just slow but you should realize already that I'm not a regular beast. Even the most simple things for other beasts requires extensive rituals for me! At least after the third trial you should have gotten that! I didn't expect you to be also dumb amongst other things!"Those words stung Rex to his bones. Lung's Mockery
"I'm declining the offer!" Rex replied casually. He wasn't the one to give a damn about PR.Boos and jeers filtered through the halls in roaring waves, immediately followed by murmurs of condescending words."His family has never grown a pair of balls over the last few decades, I really wasn't expecting anything else.""Haha, that's actually the best option if you ask me, at least he knows his place and who he shouldn't mess with!"Standing over at the other end of the counter, Emma's face flushed red with embarrassment.Even though they were nothing but forced partners in a sense, anything attributed to your partner in this world was also attributed to you.Shame boiled right through her lungs but there was nothing else that she could do other than look at him with her eyes rolling in spite. The feeling of watching his mortal enemy go under the tons of insults hauled at him caused a lasting sweet sensation of happiness to rise right through Harold's guts. However, that wasn't enough,

Emma's eyes glimmered as she waited for a response. "We can discuss the details over dinner." He handed an invitation card over and she attempted to go with him but Rex quickly stopped her, a frown glazing over his face."Should I have to remind you that we have our first training session today?"Those words caused Emma to scoff and roll her eyes at the same time."That's the point that you are not getting Mr. Trash, I would give anything just to be the farthest away from you that I possibly can! Besides, who wouldn't want to have fun with someone like Harold instead of wasting time with a cursed bloodline failure!"Harold's face lit up with triumph. He slid close to Rex and whispered into his hearing with venom dripping from every word."Don't worry about the training, Rex

Anger pulsed through her skin in waves."You can't do this. The guardian quickly replied, apologies filling his voice but Emma wouldn't take it.She turned to Rex."You did this deliberately didn't you? You couldn't keep that slacked d**k to yourself and decided to ruin my life with your horniness didn't you!” The cores of the halls shook by her ravaging again. She paused, then her eyes grew wild.“You have to forfeit, right now!" She glared at Rex like he was something that crawled out of the gutters."You're not the only one who's unsatisfied by the results Emma, I would have done that already before you even thought of it if that were possible." Rex replied calmly. But it only flared Emma's rage even further. "And who do you think is stupid enough to believe such lies? You've been stalking me for so long, I am sure you

First Fight 2
Rex heard the voice of his beast. Not out loud, but in his mind, ravaging with dripping ice and hostility, like a god whispering from far away. And like a puppet on strings, the Gold-class snake turned its head down and sank its own fangs into its own body.Annoid's eyes bulged. "What are you doing, Jim?! Stop! You should be attacking him, not yourself!" he screamed with a cracking voice. But the snake didn't even flinch at his voice. It didn't hear him. It just kept biting into its own flesh, tearing its own scales, chewing its own body apart like it was the most natural thing in the world.Fear slammed through Annoid's spine in cold waves. He turned toward Rex, rage and panic mixing in his voice."Tell that demon to stop whatever it did to my Jim right now!"He pointed a shaking finger. "You know my family! You know how powerful we are! You wouldn't like what we're going to do to you! I'll make the rest of your life miserable!"Anger pulsed through Rex's blood. He hated this. Hated
