Kyle's POV

It usually took about an hour to drive down from the Fourth Division base to Sam's apartment, which was tucked into the heart of the city. But since we didn’t take any military vehicles, Carter and I would have to get there by rail.

This was because getting to the city by rail was more faster and convenient—though we'd however, have to take a taxi down to the train station first, which wasn't too far out from the base.

Traveling by train was faster and more discreet. The rail system had become the backbone of inter-district movement, especially since the Portals began appearing. Still, it meant first grabbing a taxi to the station outside the base perimeter. It was not far, but was just enough to be annoying.

Due to random and constant appearance of Portals all over the country, majority of the state roads are either destroyed and under repairs or out of commission.

    Kyle left his half sister's lab and took the elevator back down. He got out of the laboratory building and then headed to the Canteen which was currently where Carter would be waiting for him. He brought out his mobile phone and checked the time. The time displayed 00:11. "Eleven already, huh?" He muttered to himself as he put the phone back into his pocket. He hadn't meant to spend much time talking to Sophie. They both hadn't been on the best of terms for a long time now, but ultimately their conversation today was kind of fluid. No hatred. Blames or even unforgiven grudges. There were both adults now—him twenty one and she eighteen—and things was a bit different now than back then, thanks to his awakening, so maybe that was why it seemed that way. He had gotten his answers about the Raid Devices, now—more than he thought he'd even get since he was initially being careful not to disclose too much to Sophie.     Nothing prepared Kyle's eyes for what they saw next. What in the name of Zeus did he just see!? Kyle thought as he was instantly taken aback by what his eyes met. Kyle's half-sister, Sophie was just shirtless!! She wore absolutely nothing underneath. No bra or whatever... her upper body was just bare! Kyle could see the outline of her bosoms from behind, as she stood with her back to him. And with what he was currently seeing, there was hardly any difference between her and the hour glass. The outline of her figure was unmistakable—graceful, balanced. He could see it all clearly, thanks to the mirrored closet in front of her Sophie was so freaking hot and Kyle could really not help but take in a few gulps as he exclaimed inwardly. What was he doing here? Sophie thought to herself. And was it just her or was he becoming hotter and more handsome every minute? Yeah, he'd changed a lot after his awakening but he was way more handsome than he had been the last time she saw him.

    Kyle got up from the bed right after Carter left the room. He usually did some push up rounds whenever he woke up in the mornings, but today he felt kind of tired based on the events of the previous night. Taking in deep sigh, he walked up to the closet and took out a sweat shirt. Kyle was about to put on the sweat shirt but then stopped in his tracks. He stopped because he caught a glimpse of his now improved body. And being someone who hardly took time to inspect his body he had no idea of the growth it was experiencing.
