Chapter 67:The Aftermath

In a minute or so, the light vanished, and the smoke cleared, revealing the buildings, which were still standing tall and not destroyed in the slightest way despite the enormous explosion. Lucas stood in the middle of the rubble, his hands stretched out and his face twisted in pain.

Just like a scene from an action movie, Lucas had managed to contain the blast's flames and reduced the effects of the explosion’s heat by transferring all of it to his own space just like he had countless times with people who had come after him. Using their own gifts, or in this case, what resonated with his gifts, against them.

With great force and with all his strength, he raised his hands, directing the fire upward. The sky flashed with flames, briefly warming the air, but soon enough, the flames vanished, leaving Lucas extremely exhausted, trembling and sweating as his knees shook.
