Inoyva read through the contents Cai had come with.

‘The composition of Ethereal energy and its uses? Why would they be teaching something as basic as this?’ Inoyva, with that demeaning face seemed to scroll with a swift glance. He partly knew the majority of the contents regarding Ethereal energy.

By chance, am I dealing with idiots here?

He never plucked out a certain aspect regarding the entirety of that topic, trailing each page, ‘This seems more like what kids would need to learn... But wait, everything done here has reason. To this reputable academy, that is.’

I think I can see the reason why. For anything that requires precise and hard practice, a basic level of the fundamental basis would be the most optimal path to mastering it.

For all fundamental movements that were attributed to a Knight, most are derived from Ethereal energy. In that sense, to thoroughly nail each sliver of information coming along way was a headache-inducing task, like a burdening matter. As such, learning the basics, memorizing them before any flashy actions regarding Ethereal energy first, was the forefront of breaking through.

“Despite the fact that she’s someone that I have never heard, she has quite the presence, the instructor, I mean.” The conversation had initiated to another point. Recalling what significant degree of specialty she had encountered, Cai, to the side, removed grapes.

“A strong presence, huh?” He could find it less attentive of a subject regarding another person he was not interested in. However that likely person was the instructor managing their current class.

“She’s called, “Ms. Relka.” Since you could not meet her, I’ll just say her name for the sole sake of politeness. You never know if you might meet her coincidentally.”

She intently took the one small fruit at the clutch of her thumb and pointing finger, putting it inside of Inoyva’s mouth. ‘Ms. Relka…’ He thought it was burdensome, remembering that name, that is. Well quite contrary to the lack of attentiveness he gave off at times, he necessarily memorized it to avoid any discourteous actions in the near future, might they happen.

“…”

I almost forgot. One of the reasons why I wanted to stay in this place is because of the lack of surveillance, creeping out if I wanted to and drawing to anything that I wanted.

“This might be a peculiar question, but are they any students you might know of that are getting bullied? To be more specific, they must have a noticeable degree of talent in any aspect you can think of.” Cai came upon the directed words falling from Inoyva’s mouth.

‘Isn’t that a little bit too specific?’ She thought.

“I can only think of…” As a thought of remembrance entered the mind, she came over the specified claim he was endowed with a thirst of curiosity to know. “Yeah, if I remember, there was one other students. I think he’s name was Ntsako. For the most part, scored the highest when it came to Ethereal energy. But he occasionally is the subject of being bullied.”

Cai assumed a nonchalant expression, thereby coming up with the most likeliest individual she could think of who fitted exactly into his criteria. Little did she know what kind of intentions did he hold but was wary of that fact.

“Okay. Then, can you tell me the most likeliest spots where he was recently attacked apart from the classroom or dorm?” To that note, the contrast of his normal voice and a tinge of prying in, was evident. He was with an intention to be with the knowledge of which exact spot the recommended was recently attack.

“Why?”

A brow was raised. Despite not finding any sliver of ill-intent, she could detect a suspicious vibe enshrouding him.

“You know, for the sake of when I get out of this place, I want to know the place that I need to avoid. For safety reasons. Safety reasons only.” He rubbed his hair whilst saying that. A slight smile etched across the length of his face as if he was filled with a dreamy happiness.

Cai would not linger on the safety wise reasons he divulged, squinting her eyes with a lack of certainty. She was already definitely suspicious.

“Fine. But please, for the sake of your injuries, don’t get into more trouble, okay?”

She said, her suspecting expression void of existence. She know of if evidently that even with her current strength, she could somewhat stop his ridiculous antics for so long. As such, imparting a heart filled message would perhaps change him.

“You shouldn’t worry.”

He was filled with less of that emotion. Though he was less reactive, he hardened the somewhat happy expression.

“Like hell I can’t.”

And that’s when he realize, the fact that he ended up here was for the sole purpose of refining his body. Well she did not know, so from another person’s view, he was the embodiment of foolishness.

***

I nearly gave in into her expressive words. While they sounded utterly sweet, there were various reasons and things that I required to do before I could ever remain at her side with a no lingering foolish mentality. With that said, I noticed the thick bulk of the arm which was stick-like previously.

He took any weighted garments off other than the underwear, looking forth at what would be the hardened body of someone who could be distinguished as a body builder. Those hardened muscles having been refined for almost to a week now, it paid off, though Inoyva would not be stopping there.

“Now, I should pay them back, huh?”

He released a wicked smile, void of pure light.

***

Irisdescent’s academy. On the outside, it is an academy retaining an unparalleled amount of prestige, with state-of-the-art facilities and wide variety of gifted instructors to aid the next coming generation of Knights.

However on the inside, is a much different story…

The lingering traces of thickened blood fell on the ground as his body did also…

And at a distance away, Inoyva was further encircled from each side with the varying lads, hell-bent on riding his form with various injuries.

Let’s see. I thought for the most part, since they barged in with so much confidence, they were actually gifted. But what’s in front of me is…

…Utter trash.

Inoyva swiftly evaded, taking a step back at the incoming strike. He used the extensive muscles at the waist to induce a back flip of his form when the trickling leg sweep came from behind. Quite evidently, the 6 “combatants” he faced now where from the time they barged in with the intention of making him introduce them to a certain someone.

‘Reaction speed slow, movement speed is probably the same as a tortoise and their strikes, even if they were able to land are like a little girl’s punch. Huh… I’m bored.’

The now lacking of attentiveness lad, promptly noticed an approaching fist. He would transverse to the right as nimble as a rabbit while lifting his left foot in order to trip over a disappointing lad.

‘What would “Sakimichi-chan” do in this situation?’

When suddenly, a thought entered the mind, the thought of a certain animation he watched previously. For all he could tell, he was retaining no answer towards now the lacking will he was without.

“The power of friendship is temporary, execution is forever!” And in that moment, he recalled her petite voice, embracing the wise words of the fictional character.

Ahh, yes, execution.

He immediately found his answer.

Suddenly, a wicked smile graced a formerly non-expressive face. And with that, they noticed the change of disposition he exuded from a second ago.

Looking towards it now, the odds were stacked up against him. Six to one, minus an already battered up combatant to the ground lying unconscious, he brimmed with untold strength.

In that moment, Inoyva rained down a barrage of fists at each of the five of them to the jaws, right hook, left hook and uppercut. They realized that he no longer was quite encumbered to their advances, though they were still standing.

‘Dealing with all five of them at the same time would be annoying…’

On that mental note, he flexed the bulked up muscles of his right arm.

“Magic attack!”

“Magic attack!”

“Magic attack!”

“Magic attack!”

A bombardment of “magic attacks” flew in each of the four he deemed worthy, to the spleens. They could no longer find any strength to stand up.

The other one left, “What the fuck is up with this bastard?”

“Magic attack!” For that one left standing, Inoyva actually proposed to leave him as the sole standing since he was the leader of the pack. Recalling that he was the one quite brazenly calling Cai “fuckable.”

A flurry of a right hook, left hook, then upper cut followed within a second as if his enter hand disappeared.

“What do you want? Please wait a minute?” He found himself on his sitting on the ground, with bruises and all, he pleaded to the approaching Inoyva two steps away.

“Sure.” Inoyva answered nonchalantly.

1 second, then 2, down the line 5 seconds, passed.

Done waiting!

“Magic attack!”

The vanguard of the Legion of Shadow proceeded forward exactly as other smaller Legions would, with only a difference of the indefinite actions that were superior in terms of coordination and the individual combat capabilities of their Knights. Additionally, the swiftness of their actions caused an apparent decline of the Abyss’ numbers within moments after they trailed through. After all, one of the strong Legions would have obviously encountered and fought Abyss of a difficult rank exactly like this one or maybe a horde much more fierce. “…” To that area, at the outskirts, he gazed far and wide while gliding through the air. Accompanying him from behind being other Knights in the same squadron, unlike the rest, they showed particular interest in locating Abyss and identifying their characteristics but would not intercept them. Miraculously, countless Knights grasped the proceeding space and fervently emerged from thin air above the female Knight. Certainly those could be reinforcements from other Legions that could have finally reached the battlefield to offer some much needed support. They came after the climax already reached peak and now just helped in cleaning up the scraps left. Scraps of the defeated horde when compared to the initial force when the first 5 Legions entered the fray still posed a threat if they could run hurriedly and unchecked. And also, the citizens who lived there obviously wanted to return to their former homes and lives.Following that, the female Knight’s lips opened.“Clean it up.”Immediately, all gathering forces diverged into different directions as if they cut through the air like bullets. At least one thing in common that they did was head over to the Abyss soldiers. The Knight’s eyes peered into the distance.{Master of the Legion of Shadow, S-rank: Isui Setra.}***After

With the head, the leader of the horde of Abyss, the boss defeated the proceeding underlings it reigned over would scatter in every direction. Abyss gathered into a single formation known as a horde but due to their animalistic traits, they sometimes strayed from said formation to essentially do whatever they desired. And not necessarily to execute their role of being soldiers or guards since Abyss could care less about what occurred to their brethren. If they found prey to fill their stomachs, everything else was a bother.Except for the boss, the remaining monsters were ruled over. With an iron fist and understandable power in hand, the boss acted as a beckon, a sort of antenna that coordinate all movements in the horde and initiated for their formation to consist of the outer layer and mid layer for the purpose of fighting and pillaging enemies and prey, but still leave enough room for it to not be in the firing line. In that sense of train of thought, it was a strategist feigni

  • Chapter 70 - The Strongest 4

The boss was the strongest in a horde and noticing the sheer number of Abyss that crawled through the streets and everywhere else, they would be commanded. And a slightly capable boss could not maintain control of all those numbers. That glinted at a possibility at least that this one sole humaniod monster could potentially be a C-rank Abyss. As such, letting it go could be detrimental to the counterattack.A repeat of past events, the Knight would disappear like before as if she turned invisible. What was not clear from that point was that she would not let it escape. Up until then, the boss felt like a lesser individual that grasped at straws but now, a feeling of being trapped like a plaything before receiving a fatal strike became its reality. Suddenly, the boss felt a painful sensation as if its limb was being crushed. It was not an attack, but a hold over its left arm. The Knight once more appeared from thin air to the left side.Obviously, her power was unmatched. She used

In terms of the multitude of manners to conduct a battle against foes, there truly exist an infinite number of methods to go about conflict. Polished skills... Adaptive capabilities... She commanded strength... An unordinary strength… A simple strength that could make anything and anyone kneel…It was a miracle or so to say that she could come to that moment at where the Knights’ force previously suffered a blow that left a massive dent. It was to say that due to that the Masters, the elite unit failed their given task without much needed thought to it. • Chapter 68 - The Strongest 2

The boss expected a difficult fight, but this was rather not interesting in the least. If the opponent already figured the gap in numbers between them, she might have turned tail in order to save her own life or even call for further assistance. A difference in the overall forces ended up being the deciding factor. The boss would smirk but then notice something aloof with the stationed soldiers on the ground. A passing gust of wind blew slightly. In its insignificance, a rising tension among the Abyss lowered, this would guarantee the victory. But then, one head out of the heads among the stationed soldiers seemed to fall off the body and land to the ground. The next soldier near also found its head proceeding to land on the ground like a ball and roll over. Blood immediately spilled out of the decapitated bodies and finally fell to the earth. Surprisingly, another group lost the command of their bodies and fell, partly due to the heads that landed to the ground first. As if
