Chapter 13: Death's Hand

Lu Zhen's eyes had turned pitch black as if the word 'darkness' was derived from them. What terrified these participants the most was the killing intent he was exuding. It was so thick that it was almost solidifying. Lu Zhen then pulled out his right hand and made a grabbing motion. 

An invincible force held everyone in place, making them unable to move. They were like chickens on the chopping block. Fear, fear crept in everyone's heart as they saw their lives flashing before their eyes. They had never seen such power before. It was terrifying. 

The Sect elders felt the danger the kids were in so they set out immediately. In a matter of seconds, they had already arrived on the scene. Fifty elders at the peak of Soul Condensing Realm released their pressures in order to scare Lu Zhen. "Stay your hand!" shouted one of the elders. Lu Zhen didn't listen to him and exerted more force on the participants. 

The participants started bleeding from their ears, eyes and mouth. Be it geniuses or not, every one of them was like an insect in front of Lu Zhen's power. Seeing Lu Zhen ignore them, the elders' expressions became dark and they started attacking Lu Zhen. A barrage of attacks struck Lu Zhen but he didn't move one inch. Lu Zhen snorted then stopped his attack on the puny humans called participants.

"Impudent! " shouted Lu Zhen as he looked at the fifty elders. Lu Zhen released his terrifying aura that was coupled with terrifying pressure, "KNEEL!" The elders dropped down like kites full of holes. 

Boom!

The ground shook as fifty peak Soul Condensing Realm experts crashed in the ground. Fortunately they didn't suffer any damage as their bodies were already comparable to S rank peak grade weapons. "Let's activate the Earth Sealing Formation." shouted one of the elders. Quickly, the elders had already surrounded Lu Zhen as they activated the so-called Earth Sealing Formation. 

An array formation lit after the elders sent their power into it and huge chains shot out from it as they coiled around Lu Zhen like snakes. As Lu Zhen struggled to free himself, the chains became tighter and tighter. 

"How dare insects like you resist death. It's your honour to die by my hands!" An even stronger power was released by Lu Zhen. The chains couldn't resist for long and they broke. The elders suffered a massive backlash as they flew hundreds of meters away. They puked mouthfuls of blood. 

Their faces were as pale as sheets of paper. Lu Zhen approached the elder who had suggested sealing him. With every step he took, the elder felt that death was approaching him. Lu Zhen made a grabbing motion again,the elder felt something grabbing his body and raising him to the air and exerting more force on him. 

Crack! Crack! Crack! 

"Aaahhh!" the elder screamed his lungs out. "Sp...spare me please." the elder struggled to beg for mercy. "HAHAHA! An insect like yourself is begging for mercy. Tell me. WHAT DOES YOUR LIFE WORTH?" asked Lu Zhen. The elder stared at Lu Zhen with widened eyes. 

"What does my..."

Boom! 

The elder exploded into a puddle of blood. "Worthless!" said Lu Zhen nonchalantly. Lu Zhen then gazed at the rest of the elders, he then pulled out his hand. Seeing this, the elders panicked, to them, Lu Zhen's hand was like...Death's Hand. Just as Lu Zhen was about to crush them to death. 

"Stay your hand!" a loud voice sounded out. An old man floated in the air. It was the same old man who conducted the first test. Lu Zhen didn't look up at the old man. "I don't look up to people. I only look down on them so why don't you...GET DOWN HERE FOR ME!" said Lu Zhen with a huge grin on his face, Lu Zhen stomped the ground lightly. 

"HAHAHA, you're a cocky one aren't ya. Well then, how do you plan on..." before the old man could even finish speaking, he felt something weighing down on him, as if he was carrying a mountain.

The elder found himself in the ground minutes later but fortunately he wasn't kneeling like everyone else. "Since I'm in this state, I guess you're qualified to speak with me on equal footing." said Lu Zhen nonchalantly. 

"Hoho, you're quite an amusing one. So, why did you attack everyone here." asked the old man. "I was a bit annoyed and needed to vent, so I thought of squashing a few insects to lighten my mood. But your elders stopped me from having fun, so you see, I thought of teaching them a lesson they wouldn't forget even in death...Don't mess with me." calmly explained Lu Zhen. It was like what he did was logical. 

Lu Zhen's explanation left the elder dumbstruck.

"I see but you have to understand th..." before he could even finish speaking, he was interrupted by Lu Zhen. "There's nothing I have to understand! And if someone should understand something, it should be you. If I can't do whatever I want, whenever I want then, we have a problem. What you should understand is that if I'm not happy, no one is happy." said Lu Zhen as his domineering side showed itself. 

"It seems I have to fix that attitude of yours." said the old man as he took out a golden rod from his special ring. It was an S rank peak grade weapon. The old man suddenly disappeared and appeared in front of Lu Zhen in an instant as he swung his golden rod. Lu Zhen blocked with his arms.

Clang! 

Like metals clashing, Lu Zhen's body was comparable to an SSS rank weapon. Lu Zhen then pulled out a punch, the wind whistled due to his punch, the old man blocked using the rod.

Clang!

The old man was pushed five meters back and before he could stabilize himself, Lu Zhen attacked, sending another punch that was directed to his stomach. The old man blocked again. They exchanged blows for blows. 

Clang! Clang! Clang! 

The shockwaves alerted everyone in the Sect including the Core Elders and Core Disciples, they rushed to where the fight was happening. 

As for the forty nine elders and ten thousand disciples, they stood far away from the battle because the shockwaves would definitely kill them. "You're actually not bad for an old man." complemented Lu Zhen. "Are you making fun of me? I'm exchanging moves with a peak Meridian Strengthening Realm junior, how will I face my peers now, hoho." lightly said the old man. They kept exchanging moves and the place was turning into ruins little by little. 

By the time everyone reached the place, it was ruined beyond recognition. And in the middle of the rubble, Lu Zhen and the old man were fighting intensely with neither side getting the upper hand. Everyone couldn't believe their eyes, Elder Shi was exchanging moves with a junior in the Meridian Strengthening Realm, and wasn't gaining the upper hand.

The most surprised was Lin Zhenzhen, she didn't expect Lu Zhen to have such tremendous power. 

"Why don't we end this with the next move, old man." Lu Zhen suggested, "Fine with me!" replied Elder Shi. They then created room for each other, 'Mountain Shattering Thrust ' shouted Elder Shi as he executed his technique, tremendous power shot out from the rod. Lu Zhen only turned his nails into claws and diagonally slashed. A vague lion's claw could be seen. It wasn't a fancy technique, just a simple slash. 

Boom! 

The two techniques clashed and the shockwaves destroyed everything in their path. Soon, everything calmed down. Everyone stood there waiting to see results. 'Who won?' is what rang through everyone's thoughts.
