This sensation came from Aina and Kaida. The both of them sat down with their eyes closed. The gentle spirit Qi now surged towards them. It was stunning as it formed visible waves around their bodies, and the spirit qi, that was invisible was now visible to the naked eye.

Aina's body was surrounded by flames. Waves of fire rolled across her skin like a living thing. The heat emanating from her was intense, causing Micheal to long for water. Micheal, who was standing mere feet away, felt his skin begin to crack from the heat. But then he felt a sudden chill.

Kaida, who was by her side was hard to see because her body was surrounded by mist. The air around her seemed to freeze, and even the moisture in the atmosphere condensed into glittering shards suspended in the air. The cold was biting. Micheal was shocked beyond words. He opened his mouth wide as he stared at them.

These two!!

As the girls continued absorbing the spirit qi, their powers grew. Kaida's icy aura expanded, and ice spread across the ground at an astonishing speed. Micheal stumbled backward, his mind reeling from shock. If he stayed there any longer, he might turn into an ice sculpture.

The others on the mountain, sensing the commotion, froze. They all turned to look. No one spoke. Awakening an uncommon weapon was not common. It was something that happened to maybe one person in every fifty thousand.

And their special skill was definitely related to ice and fire.

Yet despite the chaos, Aina and Kaida remained still, their eyes closed and faces serene. Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything stopped. The flames died and the ice dissipated, and an oppressive silence fell over the mountain. Aina and Kaida sat still with their chest heaving.

Everyone stared at them as if they had seen ghosts. Some people swallowed nervously. Others could not look away. The commotion they caused was massive. People’s eyes were fixed on Aina and Kaida; it was impossible not to stare after what had just happened. Coupled with their beauty, everyone was mesmerized.

Who are they? Many asked themselves.

Micheal approached them, speechless. Aina looked at him, and her lips curled into a wide grin.

"Now this is what you call badass, ha ha," she laughed, her voice melodious and echoing in the heavy silence. Micheal smiled wryly. Indeed, this was badass.

"What type of weapons did you guys awaken?" Micheal asked curiously.

Kaida's hand fluttered through the air. As she did, a freezing chill swept past Micheal and he shivered without realizing it. The cold formed into mist and then condensed into a crystal. "It's a bow," Micheal thought. It wasn't fully formed yet, but he could tell. The crystals forming came from thin air and It reflected the surrounding light. As it took shape, the temperature dropped further. It was indeed a bow. She waved her hand, retracting the bow.

"Cool," Micheal said, genuinely awed. "Your turn," he said, turning to Aina.

"Mine? It's more badass, but I like keeping my badass nature to myself," Aina replied smugly, refusing to summon her weapon.

"Don't be so full of yourself yet. I was born to crush the confidence of people like you," Micheal said, feeling the pressure.

"From someone who can't even guide spirit energy? Go on, go on. I am waiting," Aina said with a mocking grin.

Micheal ignored her and sat cross-legged. He took a deep breath. Just as he was about to close his eyes, Aina called out to him.

"Micheal."

He turned around.

"Remember to be free with the spirit qi and..." She paused, placing a hand on her chin as if deep in thought.

"And what?" Micheal asked curiously. He needed all the help he could get.

"Don't forget to be more badass, ha ha," Aina replied mockingly, her laughter sounding like that of a demon queen. Kaida, who was watching, couldn't help but laugh.

Two demon queens. Damnit!

Micheal felt his heart tighten. Ignoring them, he focused on the spirit qi. He tried being as gentle as possible, but it wouldn't budge. It was as if his body was a forbidden zone for it. Frustration began to build.

Opening his eyes, he noticed the sky darkening as people slowly began to leave. Because of the rukos the twins cause this side of the mountain seemed a little deserted, it felt like people were knowing avoiding it. Surprisingly, Kaida and Aina were still beside him, one on each side, their eyes closed.

"Seems like they are solidifying their realm," Micheal thought. He closed his eyes and tried again, but the response was the same.

Why is it reacting like this toward me? He couldn't go home like this. He just couldn't. He couldn't accept this reaction as the answer!

Forget being gentle! Micheal was annoyed. He decided to use force. He focused again and extended his will. This time, he wasn't gentle. Outside, his brows were furrowed in deep concentration. The spirit qi recoiled, trying to evade him again. But Micheal refused to let it escape. He grabbed it and attempted to force it into his body.

Slowly, the energy began responding. As his control strengthened, the spirit qi’s resistance weakened, allowing him to draw it fully inside. As it entered his body, Micheal suddenly felt good. The energy began circulating through him on its own. Micheal's awakening was a slow process. He absorbed the energy quickly, but his body felt like a bottomless pit.

Hours passed as Micheal lost track of his surroundings. Unbeknownst to him, he was causing a massive disturbance outside. The spirit qi ran wild, forming a tornado around him that lasted for hours. Fortunately, only Kaida and Aina were there to witness it. It was already midnight.

After an unknown amount of time, something suddenly clicked inside him. Micheal saw his weapon forming within. He focused on it, curious about what was taking shape. It was blurry at first, but then it became clear. His mind went blank. Micheal was stunned.

You've got to be kidding me!!!!

Micheal screamed in his mind.

The cat man immediately frowned, then smiled.“So, you would deny it?” he asked with a grin as he stepped forward.“So you would really deny yourself Ageless? Because I know I am not mistaken.” Micheal felt a headache coming on.He really didn’t want to fight. This guy was Gold level, and the others were all Silver level experts.“Can we not fight?” Micheal asked.“Fight?” the cat man laughed. “Are you even strong enough to fight me?”“I’m stronger than you think,” Micheal replied as he slowly stepped backward. “But I don’t want to fight.”“But I want to fight,” the cat man said as he moved closer and released his domain. His domain was a simple one based on pressure. It spread heavy force around the area, suppressing those weaker than him.“Surround the rest of them,” the cat man ordered the warriors behind him.The Silver-level cat men immediately rushed toward Micheal’s group.“Well, after all the boring and safe duels in the desert, a real fight after such a traumatic experience

  • 87. AN ILLUSION.

“The whole desert is covered in a low-level illusion,” Max said as he flapped his wings.Micheal looked around the desert before turning back to Max.“So why didn't you say it all these while?” Micheal asked in doubt, maybe this was just another prank from the bird. “I just discovered it now.” Max replied. “So, do you know the way out?” Micheal asked with anticipation. He couldn’t sense any illusion himself, but if what Max said was true, then maybe Max could actually help them escape this desert. Combined with Max constantly claiming to be some kind of legendary phoenix, perhaps he really wasn’t bluffing after all.“I can try,” Max said smugly with a smile, “but why would I?”Micheal smiled wryly and shifted his gaze toward Aina, who immediately understood what he meant.“Here, Max,” Aina said as she tossed a round object from her space ring toward the bird resting on Maya’s shoulder.Max instantly caught the seed with his beak.He immediately began chewing on it with a pleased ex

  • 86. IMPROVEMENTS.

Everyone stood in stunned silence as they looked at the long line of markers in front of them—the same ones they had placed earlier. The situation was far more serious than they had expected. It felt as if there was some kind of space shift, something that kept returning them to where they began. The thought was terrifying. No one spoke. They simply stared at one another, weighed down by frustration and uncertainty, with no idea what to do next.“We are doing something wrong, perhaps,” Aina said, breaking the silence.“What could it be?” Micheal replied as he uncorked his water can and took a drink. He checked his storage and shook his head. His water wouldn’t last even two weeks under this harsh sun, and he knew it would be the same for the others. They had to find a way out, and soon—or at least find a way to replenish their water. For one week, Micheal and the rest tried all sorts of methods to escape the maze-like desert, but nothing worked. They always returned to where they star

It was getting harder to endure, and some of them even started to shake.“Hold yourselves,” Micheal said with a frown as he looked at those struggling to stay still. But Leo unknowingly shifted his leg.At once, a sword shot out from the ground. • 84. DESERT DEMONS.

Everyone immediately fell silent, their expressions turning solemn. This desert was a completely different kind of nightmare compared to the watching trees. It didn’t just threaten them like the other did but it gave the feeling of being trapped, like an invisible prison closing in on them and with the slightest movement he'd be dead. “And now the bodies of the heretics are gone,” Alex said, glancing around. “We can’t even use them to track where we’ve been. The sandstorm must have buried everything.”That made things worse. They quickly began thinking of ways to escape before their water ran out. After some discussion, they brought out several useless items and placed them along their path as markers, hoping to confirm whether they were truly moving in a straight line. Then they started walking again. As time passed, the sun grew hotter and hotter. This time, it felt far more intense than before, as if it were hanging directly above them, threatening to burn their faces.“What’s wit

  • 83. SAND STORM.

Micheal was the fastest among them and ran far ahead of the group. After all, he was the closest to reaching the silver level. But when he noticed his sister and the others falling behind, he hesitated, unsure of what to do. To make things worse, the sandstorm behind them was even faster than he was. He could already feel the vibrations rumbling through the ground. If it caught up to them, they were finished. At this rate, White was probably the only one who could outrun it.Everyone’s hearts pounded as the vibrations grew stronger.“Everyone, stop running! I have a plan!” Aina suddenly shouted. No one wanted to stop, but deep down, they all knew that no matter how fast they ran, the sandstorm would eventually catch them.So everyone stopped to listen to what Aina had to say. “What’s the plan?” Micheal asked urgently. Every second mattered now. If they wasted any more time, there would be no need to dig graves, the sandstorm would bury them itself.“Sis, the tent! The tent should be
