“The credit transaction of twenty million dollars was successfully received!”

A pin drop silence…

And then chaos erupted!

Gasps rippled through the space like a wave crashing against the shore. Some people's eyes were just wide with disbelief and others stood frozen, their mouths opening and closing like fish out of the sea.

Gojo's hands trembled around the car as if he had, just for once in his life, touched something sacred.

And George, who had been grinning moments ago, looked like he had swallowed a hot brick right from hell, his face draining of color.

“What… what the hell?” Someone whispered, his voice filled with disbelief.

A murmur swept through the crowd, growing louder and louder. Skeptical smirks turned into stunned expressions and those who had been ready to mock Sabito suddenly looked at him like he was a completely different person.

George stumbled backwards, completely taken aback. “No way… there's no way—”

“Yes way—” Gojo muttered, cutting him off. “And because you couldn't pay it off doesn't mean others can't.”

His tone when he said this was scornful, and mocking. Now the tables have turned and he no longer has respect for him. After all, everyone knows how the person in charge is being respected and right now, George wasn't.

Someone in the back let out a nervous laugh and another gulped audibly.

And just like that, the energy shifted.

The mocking stares were all gone and replaced with awe and fear.

Sabito had just gone from an easy target to someone untouchable.

“Thank…thank you…” Lisa spoke after keeping quiet for such a long time. Her tone was full of gratitude for this stranger, after all, she hadn't thought for a second that someone she had met or heard of would be able to pay up her debt.

She knew what would have become of her if she hadn't been able to pay.

She tried to kowtow but Sabito stopped her, gently grabbing her by the shoulders. “No, you shouldn't do that. It's just a help I know someone would have given even if I wasn't here.”

Lisa was enthralled by his smile and how soft he was speaking with her. If not for what happened to her, then she wouldn't have been caught in-between Gojo's threat and Georges' sexual advances.

But then, this stranger wouldn't pay up a huge sum for her without demanding for anything, right?

After all, all men had the tendency to demand something in return and even if it wasn't general, the ones she had had an encounter with had certainly demanded something.

When she saw how the man wasn't saying anything, she decided to ask. “Um, Mister… Is… is there something… anything I can do to repay your kindness towards me?”

“Yes, there's something you need to do for me.”

She knew it! They always did. But Lisa was ready to do anything for him even if it meant going extra miles. The way he had helped her without hurling heaps of insults on her spoke of something she hadn't witnessed before.

“I want you to go back to your work and be good out there.” He said and Lisa's jaws dropped!

That…that was it? For her to be good? Or has she perhaps heard it wrong?

“The world is full of wolves who parade themselves as sheeps and we need to be mindful of them now, don't we?” He glanced at George when he said this, who was looking like he had swallowed a dead frog.

George suddenly turned defensively angry. “And who are you referring to a wolf in sheep covering? Because you paid for this little amount of loan now, do you expect us to—”

“To what?” Sabito ruthlessly cut him off. “To jump up with happiness?” He scoffed. “Why, is it because that's what you would have the people do for you instead?”

Sabito's tone was moderate but laced with a warning underneath the octave. “Listen, not everyone is like you okay? So you can scram if you can't listen without being defensive.”

“Let's go.” He said to Lisa while slipping his black card back into his pockets.

Lisa nodded and together, they walked out of the scene, the people pathing ways for them and looking at them with reverence.

Meanwhile, George, who had always walked with his shoulders held high, looked at the crowd and another wave of humiliation crashed over him when he saw how disgusted they looked at him.

His blood boiled in a way he hadn't felt before and he made a mental note to teach Sabito a lesson. No one messes with him and go scott free. He was definitely going to teach him a lesson!

Storming out of the scene, George got into his car, brought out his phone and dialed a number.

~~~
“I… I want to thank you again, for what you did for me back there.” Lisa thanked Sabito again for the millionth time.
“How did you get entangled with people like that?” Sabito couldn't help but ask.
He watched as the light in Lisa's eyes dimed, and was replaced by a far away look. “It all started when…”
She started narrating everything that had happened In her life, about her dreams of being an actress and how she was beginning to rise to fame. “...and then my mother was suddenly diagnosed with kidney failure. I couldn't watch her suffer so I had to start seeking help.
At first, I sought out master George from the Anderson's family, but…” she paused, her jaws clenching in something close to anger and disgust, “he wanted to sleep with me!
I couldn't stomach how shameless he was. I left there immediately, but not without hearing him yell about how I was going to come running back to him.
I swore never to go back, and that was when I sought out Gojo for a loan for the transplant.”
“A loan?” Sabito frowned. “But I heard it was a breach of contract.”
“Yes, we drew up an agreement and a clause in the agreement states that I have to leave my acting career should I fail to pay back the amount at a certain period of time.
Maybe he was sure I wouldn't be able to pay it back,” Lisa said, realization suddenly dawning on her.
“But thank goodness you're free now. You can finally go back to your dream job.” He scratched his head, his tough exterior slipping away and instantly replaced by an awkward, almost boyish uncertainty. “Um… I would have dropped you off, but you'll have to pardon my manners as I don't seem to have a car, yet.”
“No, I'll call my manager to come and pick me up. Thank you again…uh…” Lisa paused, not knowing how to address him.
“Sabito. Sabito Dimon,” he said, extending his hand for a handshake.
Lisa took his outstretched hand and shook it. “Nice meeting you, Sabito!”
“Now, I'll have to leave as I have other things to attend to.”
Thinking about other things, he needs a new car and a whole beautiful wardrobe.
Lisa nodded and Sabito walked past her towards the direction of the road.
‘Such a nice young man,’ Lisa thought, looking back to take another glimpse of him, but…
He was gone, with nowhere in sight!
She frowned, her shoulders raising up in a disbelieving shrug. “Weird,” she muttered. “I mean, he just left, so…” she shook her head, and whisking out her phone from her purse, she dialed her manager.
~~~

Sabito screeched to a halt at the autos park. It wouldn't be wise if people saw him running like a flash. He needed to be discreet about this system thing.

He started to walk inside the building, but paused when he heard a familiar voice!

The stupid voice of Jasper, almost paying for the car Sabito had cast his eyes on!

Angry veins popped out of his head and his hands balled into tight, angry fists!

His revenge. Where did he stop again? Oh… he hasn't even started. He was going to start now, and he was going to do it ruthlessly!

“Dial this autos manager, Now!” He gritted out an order. “You know what to do!”

{On it, Host.}

Few seconds later, and Sabito heard the manager's voice. “I'm sorry, but you can't buy this anymore. Someone else had paid for it already!”

It was almost like he was living through the moment again.The wind under the overpass cut sharp against his face, yet the heat inside his chest hadn’t cooled since Muzan’s men had swarmed him and beaten him to pulp, but that wasn't what had left him shocked.It was the fact that the system had failed him again. It was the fight, the smirk on Muzan’s face, the way those masked men moved like they’d done it a thousand times before—and he found it rather disturbing. Gojo leaned against his motorcycle, watching him. His eyes had the kind of stillness that made people uncomfortable. “You’re quiet,” he said at last.“I’m thinking,” Sabito replied. His voice was low and hoarse. “The damaged part of the system makes me feel like a part of me’s gone… I need it fixed.” Sabito had somehow bonded with the system and now that part of it was dysfunctional, he felt empty. Gojo crossed his arms. “Fixing it isn’t
