CHAPTER THREE

**VAPIAN KINGDOM**

REMUS

My heart was racing as I glared at Jared, who lay before me, severely injured.

"Were they awake when you struck?"

I demanded, my anger boiling over.

Jared's voice was cold as he replied, "Yes, my king but I suspect they have a spy as in someone who's always watching, always listening because that's the only explanation for how they always seem to know what we're doing."

My mind raced as I considered his words.

A spy?

In my own kingdom? I gritted my teeth.

"Then I'll find that son of a bitch. And when I do, I'll make an example out of him because no one defies me and gets away with it."

Jared groaned in pain, drawing my attention to his injury.

"I don't understand why it won't heal," he complained bitterly.

My eyes widened as I realized the truth. "He used the sword of Maganatus,"

I said through gritted teeth.

" Like are you really serious about this my king"

Jared asked curiously

"Yes because It's one of the most poisonous and dangerous weapons in existence."

"But I thought that sword was banned centuries ago,"

Jared said, his confusion evident.

I shook my head.

"Dolphus has it and despite everyone knowing how dangerous it is, they choose to ignore it."

My fists clenched as I vowed to stop Dolphus and his treacherous ways, no matter the cost.

Jared's eyes narrowed as he spoke, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I think you can use it as a tool against him during the next council meeting," he said slowly,

"because using a banned weapon is a very big offense in the supernaturals."

My heart raced as I felt the weight of his words.

This was my chance to take down my enemy, to finally claim what was rightfully mine.

But as I opened my mouth to respond, Jared cut me off.

"As I told you before, the sword isn't our problem at the moment, but that stupid prophecy of the seer."

I clenched my fists, frustration boiling in my veins.

How could he be so dismissive? Didn't he understand the gravity of the situation?

"You don't need to worry about the throne of the supernaturals because it's already yours,"

Jared added, his voice low and steady.

"It's already yours, and all you need right now is patience, as we play our game and watch the divide consume them."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts.

"Alright,"

I said slowly.

"What's the next plan? Are we going to strike back at Crystal, or wait for things to cool down before we make our move?"

Jared's eyes gleamed with a dangerous light.

"Attacking now would show them we're capable, but the repercussions would be severe but If we wait for a week, we can catch them off guard and strike when they least expect it."

My heart pounded in my chest as I considered his words.

Could we really wait that long?

Would our enemy be caught off guard? The suspense was almost unbearable as I asked the question that could change everything.

"So you're suggesting we shouldn't attack now, right?"

**DELON KINGDOM**

MARIUS

My heart was pounding as I waited for their coming back but they disappeared and never look back.

" What were they hiding from me?"

and I knew I had to maintain my composure?.

"Just know that I am the king,"

I bellowed at their retreating figures, my voice echoing through the void night.

As I turned to leave, a voice called out, jolting me back to reality.

"My king, my king,"

it said urgently.

I spun around, my heart racing.

It was Lisa, the most powerful witch and sorcerer and also my trusted advisor.

"What's going on? Why are you so restless at this hour?"

she asked, clearly concerned.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves.

"Haven't you heard about the prophecy?"

I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"The one that predicts the emergence of a new king to rule over the supernaturals?"

"I have,"

she replied, her eyes widening in understanding.

"But I thought you were already the king."

"Not anymore,"

I said, my voice rising with each word.

"The seer announced during the council meeting that the king will be born, not one of us and now, I fear what might become of me if it happens to be true."

And with that, I left Lisa standing there, wondering what other secrets I was keeping from her.

The tension in the room was palpable as Lisa and I discussed the unthinkable.

A stranger taking over our kingdom? It couldn't be possible, but as we delved deeper into the prophecy, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.

"I can't just sit back and watch a weakling take over,"

I growled, my fists clenched in frustration.

Lisa's eyes gleamed with a newfound determination.

"My king, I have a suggestion,"

she said, leaning in closer.

My heart raced as she revealed her plan.

It was risky, but it just might work.

"I trust your capability, my king,"

Lisa said, her voice unwavering.

I took a deep breath and made my decision.

"I'll pay the seer a visit tonight,"

I declared, my mind made up.

I turned into wind and headed towards the seer's temple, I couldn't help but wonder what fate awaited me.

As I flew towards the seer's temple, my heart pounding with anticipation.

As I landed outside the temple, I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Something was off.

Was someone watching me?

I cautiously made my way inside, my senses on high alert.

The seer sat in the center of the room, her eyes closed in deep concentration.

"Tell me, seer,"

I demanded, my voice echoing through the chamber.

"What does the prophecy say about our kingdom's fate?"

The seer's eyes snapped open, and she fixed me with a piercing gaze.

"The future is uncertain,"

she intoned gravely.

"But one thing is clear: danger is coming."

My heart sank because it was worse than I thought.

As I turned to leave, a shadowy figure darted out from behind a pillar, brandishing a sword.

I barely had time to react as the figure lunged towards me, their sword flashing in the dim light.

I dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the blade.

Who was this attacker, and what did they want?

I had to find out.

But first, I had to survive.

With a fierce determination, I drew my own sword and prepared to face my unknown assailant.
