43. Staying at Aslan's house

Aslan's cell phone rang indicating an incoming call, Aslan who had just come out of the bathroom immediately dried his wet hands then grabbed his cell phone.

It's Hannah, Debby's Mom.

"Hello?"

(Aslan! Do you know where Debby is? I called her but she didn't pick up, she left with a boy I don't know -)

"Don't worry, Debby's with me, she's at my house, so don't worry, I'm sorry I didn't call you earlier," Aslan said, feeling guilty that it was late afternoon and neither Debby nor Aslan had asked permission.

Aslan had forgotten about that and it seemed Debby had too.

After the rooftop, Aslan and Debby went down to the swimming pool at the back of the house. The pool was right in front of the beach, and the water was filtered sea water. They chatted, joked and ate fruit until they lost track of time.

Now Debby was asleep in the guest room closer to the pool, so she didn't know when her mom called.
