Chapter 4

Desmond told the taxi driver to go to the nearest bank as he would set up his bank account.

The system suddenly gave Desmond a notification in his mind.

[Sir, I have prepared your identity card and five thousand dollars to set up a bank account, all in the inside pocket of your suit]

"Thank you, System," she replied with a smile.

With just one thousand dollars, Desmond could have set up a bank account, but the System knew that Desmond needed more money to pay for taxis and other sudden needs.

The Super Crazy System will always prepare Desmond's plans; Desmond's job is only to obey the Plan, and then all his wishes will come true.

The taxi arrived in front of a bank, and Desmond spent a hundred dollars to pay for a taxi that should have been fifty dollars.

"Sir, more money," the taxi driver admonished.

"Just for you," he replied with a smile.

"Thank you very much, sir," said the taxi driver again excitedly.

Desmond simply raised his hand as he walked into the Bank.

Because he looked so neat, Desmond was not stopped by Security. Instead, Security seemed very friendly to him.

Desmond walked into the bank; it was quiet as it had just opened since it was still eight in the morning.

"Welcome, sir; how may I help you?" asked the bank officer as Desmond approached the bank officer first.

"I want to set up a bank account," she replied immediately.

"Yes, sir, can I have your ID and a minimum balance of one thousand dollars?" the bank officer replied politely.

Desmond took two thousand dollars and his identity card from his pocket and gave them to the bank officer.

The bank officer swiftly processed the bank account for Desmond; within just a few minutes, Desmond's bank account was ready.

"Thank you, sir; here is your account book and the ATM card,"  said the bank officer, who immediately handed over Desmond's account book and ATM card.

Desmond smiled, took his account book and ATM card and left the bank.

Desmond left the bank when he came out; who would have thought he would meet Wrenley and Martin, who happened to go to the bank?

"Well, well, look who we met, my wife," said Martin, who Wrenley embraced.

Desmond, of course, stopped immediately when Martin deliberately blocked him.

Wrenley frowned; he looked Desmond up and down; he looked very different.

"What clothes did you steal, Desmond!" scolded Wrenley with a scathing look.

"Hahahaha... just rent clothes too, dear; how ironic, a poor man like him who wants to look rich has to try very hard," Martin mocked confidently.

"Desmond, you should be self-aware; you're already poor. Don't cheat others!" said Wrenley again in disgust.

"That's right, a poor man like you is more suited to wearing a scavenger's outfit!" said Martin sarcastically, pointing at Desmond's chest.

But Desmond immediately dismissed Martin's hand; he didn't care if he was insulted with words, but now it was forbidden for Wrenley and Martin to touch him.

Martin was surprised when Desmond dared to shake his hand, as was Wrenley.

Martin wanted to speak, but Desmond said, "Listen carefully, Martin, my life is not as low as you think; I can make you bow at my feet!"

Desmond turned to his ex-wife and grinned, "And you, Wrenley, you're dead wrong to have chosen this idiot; sooner or later, you'll regret it."

"You bastard! How dare you... Aarghh!" Martin wanted to hit Desmond, but unfortunately, Desmond quickly caught Martin's hand and twisted it.

"Pooh, you think I can't fight back? I stayed at the Batford household out of respect for my wife, but now that I'm a nobody, I'll show you who I am,"  Desmond flung Martin, and Wrenley swiftly caught his new husband.

Desmond gave Martin and Wrenley a scathing look; he then left and, without hesitation, hailed a taxi and disappeared from their presence.

"Bastard! Watch out, you stray dog!" grumbled an annoyed Martin.

Wrenley looked at Desmond in confusion, whereas in the one year they had been married, Desmond had never looked like that. He was so weak and unreliable, but Desmond looked much different today than usual.

"Come on, darling, let's go inside!" invited Martin gently to his wife so the stunned Wrenley could only nod.

Meanwhile, in the taxi, Desmond is seen sighing rudely because the day he predicted would be the beginning of his happiness instead met his ex-wife, making him a little out of mood.

"Shit! Why meet them when I don't want to meet them at all!" grumbled Desmond in the taxi.

The taxi driver only glanced at the inside mirror, listening to his passenger rant incoherently to himself.

"Excuse me, sir, where are we going?" the taxi driver asked suddenly.

[Sir, tell him to go to the Dreamscape Property Office!]

Desmond nodded in understanding, he cleared his throat slightly, "Ahem, to the Dreamscape Property Office!"

"Yes, sir!" replied the taxi driver.

The taxi driver went straight to the place. Desmond said they only took twenty minutes to arrive at the Dreamscape Property Office.

Desmond exited the taxi, paid for it, and immediately saw the property office. The signboard of the office was displayed in front so everyone would know the place immediately.

Dreamscape Property Office is a branch company of Dreamscape Group, the best property seller in Aradonia city.

The system sent Desmond there because he wanted a house last night, so he immediately appointed the property office.

"System, what are we doing here?" asked Desmond, who didn't know that the place was selling houses.

[Sir, last night you asked me to buy you a house, and this is the place you can buy the house you want]

Desmond smiled as he heard the System's reply, "Good, I like your work!"

[Thank you, sir!]

Desmond immediately went inside; again, he was warmly welcomed thanks to his clothes; of course, Desmond was also very happy; it turned out that being a rich man was indeed fun; wherever he was, he would be appreciated.

"Welcome, Sir, our property provides a selection of houses that might fit your criteria, here are the photos of the houses we sell," said the property officer politely and friendly.

Desmond immediately picked up a photo album of the houses; he flipped through the photos until he was attracted to a villa in the photo.

"I want this one, how much is it?" pointed Desmond.

The property officer smiled, "Good choice, sir; the Papillon Villa is priced at 10 million dollars..."

The property officer hadn't finished speaking, so Desmond said, "I'll take this, prepare the files!"

The property officer was very happy, "Yes, sir, please wait a moment."

The property clerk prepared the files; Desmond remembered that his balance was low, so he asked the System in his mind.

"System, how should I pay for it?"

[You take it easy, sir, hand over your ATM card. I've transferred the money you need in there]

The System's answer certainly made Desmond sigh of relief, and he returned to his relaxed demeanour to wait for the property officer.

After fifteen minutes, the property officer arrived with the paperwork, which Desmond had to sign, and the house would be his.

"Sir wants to pay..."

Again, the property officer had not finished speaking; Desmond cut him off by handing over his ATM card.

The property clerk smiled, took Desmond's ATM card and swiped it, and the payment was complete after Desmond entered the password.

The Property Officer told Desmond to sign, and he officially owned the house.

"Thank you, sir. Have a nice day," said the property officer politely.

Desmond just nodded, took his home file and left the place to buy his next necessities.
