Peter arrived at the bank half an hour later. He didn’t care at all that he was soaking wet and his clothes were dirty.

A staff member looked at him with annoyance and disdain, but the woman kept up her fake smile. “How can I help you, sir?”

“I want to withdraw five hundred thousand dollars from my account,” said Peter.

The staff member was startled, repeatedly glancing at Peter’s appearance. She took his card, checked the account, and froze in place upon seeing the string of numbers on the computer screen.

The staff member immediately contacted her supervisor. Her cold smile turned into a warm, polite one.

“Please forgive my rudeness just now, sir. Please follow me. I’ll take you to our priority customer lounge.”

“Priority customer?” Peter said.

The staff member nodded.

“I have a hundred billion dollars in my account. Of course I’m a priority client at this bank.” Peter followed the woman. “I’m not surprised she suddenly became so polite to me.”

Peter entered a very spacious room and suddenly stopped as numerous staff members bowed on either side.

“Welcome, Mr. Peter. It is an honor for us to welcome you to our office,” said the branch manager on Peter’s right. “We have prepared a special room for you while we process your transaction.”

“Thanks,” Peter replied briefly. He was quite confused by the current situation because he wasn’t used to it yet.

Several customers turned to see what was happening. They were surprised to learn that Peter was a top-priority customer because they had initially doubted his appearance.

Peter entered a special room, observed his surroundings, and seemed amazed by its cleanliness and decor. He was still surprised by the warm welcome and polite demeanor of the bank employees. People more often insulted him than treated him well and politely.

Several staff members served cakes and drinks to the table, neatly arranged near Peter. They hoped to get to know Peter beyond just business matters.

The branch manager explained some information to Peter.

Peter agreed to become a top-tier priority customer. He received a special platinum card along with several gifts.

Peter checked the information in his passbook and fell silent upon seeing a name. “Patrick. He’s the one who sent me a hundred billion dollars.”

Peter checked the savings app. “I was so shocked by the amount of money deposited into my account that I completely forgot to check the sender’s name.”

“So, that person is Patrick,” Peter muttered.

“Is there anything else we can do for you, Mr. Peter?” the branch manager asked politely.

“I have to leave right away,” Peter said.

The branch manager replied, “We’ll escort you to the front door, sir.”

“You don’t need to do that. I’m in a hurry right now. I also don’t want to draw people’s attention.”

Peter left the room, glancing at a black card in his hand before slipping it into his wallet.

“I really received an extraordinary special gift.” Peter walked toward the main entrance, ignoring the whispers of some staff members and other customers. “I haven’t had a chance to test my skills yet because I was too shocked by the money I received.”

“I need to verify that ability as soon as possible. But who....”

“What are you doing?” snapped a man when Peter accidentally bumped into his shoulder. The man stopped walking immediately, scanning Peter from head to toe.

“I’m sorry, sir. It was an accident,” said Peter.

“You... Peter!” the man shouted, causing several customers to turn toward him. He patted his jacket repeatedly.

“Sonic?” Peter asked, confirming.

Sonic was Simon’s older brother and a senior at their college. The man was just as annoying as Simon.

“You bastard! What the hell is a piece of trash like you doing here? Did you just rob a bank?” Sonic accused.

“No, I just took a few bills.”

Sonic burst out laughing. “Don’t joke around, you jerk! A poor guy like you couldn’t possibly have enough money.”

“I can lend you some if you don’t have any, Sonic.”

“You damn fool! How dare you insult me! Even if I didn’t have any money, I wouldn’t stoop to begging you!”

Sonic watched Peter again, smiling as an idea formed in his mind. He looked around, then shouted, “What are you doing? You’re forcing me to hand over my money to you!”

The customers and several staff members immediately turned to look.

Sonic moved away from Peter. “Why did security let a thug into this bank?”

Peter wasn’t surprised by Sonic’s behavior now. Sonic was indeed a master of drama and had caused trouble on several occasions.

Two guards ran in from outside. One of them asked, “What’s going on, sir? Is there a problem?”

Sonic immediately pointed at Peter. “This thug is trying to extort me! He threatened to beat me up if I didn’t give him my money.”

A few customers who had just entered the branch immediately gathered around, whispering to each other. They glared at Peter, annoyed.

“Are you really trying to extort this customer?” asked a guard, glaring at Peter with contempt. “If you’re proven to have committed that crime, we’ll take you straight to the police station.”

“Take that man right now! He deliberately bumped into me as soon as I entered this room! He might have stolen my wallet!”

Peter said calmly, “I didn’t do anything. I was just about to leave before this man started accusing me of all sorts of things.”

“Don’t listen to that thug!” Sonic snorted in annoyance. “Look at that thug now! He looks terrible in those clothes! Even if he came into the room, he must just be trying to extort someone else!”

“You haven’t changed a bit, Sonic. You’re wasting my precious time.” Peter let out a long sigh, walking past Sonic.

“Where do you think you’re going, you jerk?” Sonic grabbed Peter’s shoulder. “You won’t be able to run anywhere until you take responsibility for your actions!”

Peter glanced at Sonic’s right hand on his shoulder. He immediately thought of trying out his new skill.

“Why aren’t you doing anything?” Sonic shouted at the guards. “Take him to the police station right now before he does something bad!”

Peter suddenly grabbed Sonic’s hand, trying to concentrate fully.

“What are you doing? Let go of my hand with your filthy hands! Let go!”

A series of flashes of events suddenly appeared in Peter’s mind in an instant. After releasing his hand from Sonic’s, he felt dizzy, short of breath, and his heart was pounding.

Sonic patted his hand. “You bastard! You got my hand dirty!”

“Follow us right now!” A guard forcibly dragged Peter. “Don’t even think about running away!”

Sonic smiled with great satisfaction.

“How dare you treat a five-star priority customer so badly,” Peter said as he pulled his hand free from the guard’s grip. “I can report your actions to the branch manager.”

Sonic, who had been walking, suddenly stopped and burst out laughing. “What did you just say, you bastard? You’re a five-star priority customer? You must be out of your mind!”

The customers in the crowd joined in the laughter while sneering at Peter.

“Don’t you believe me, Sonic?” Peter asked.

I mustn’t let him influence me.”Sean ran as fast as he could, through narrow alleys and up small staircases, until he finally reached a fairly open area.“I suspected he was a drug dealer. My life is bad enough as it is. I don’t want to make things even harder for myself by getting caught by the police and ending up in jail as a prisoner.”Sean wiped the sweat from his brow and clutched his rumbling stomach. “That bread gave me a stomachache. Damn it, I’m starving and have no idea how to get food. There’s no way anyone would just suddenly give me free food.”“I can give you as much delicious food as you want, Sean,” said Seno, standing atop the building.“What?” Sean was so startled he took a few steps back. He was sure he’d run as fast as he could to get away from Seno.“I’m interested in making you my partner, Sean. But why did you suddenly run away like that?”“I-I don’t want to be a drug dealer. You’re… someone who’s just been evicted from their home.”Sean stood, holding onto the edge of the trash can, rubbing his rumbling stomach. He turned to the man, but couldn’t see his face clearly.“Take this!” The man in the black hat tossed him a loaf of bread. “This bread tastes terrible, but it’s better than scavenging for food in the trash.”Sean looked back at the bread and the man. “You didn’t put poison in this bread, did you?”“Huh?” The man laughed. “Why would I put poison in it?
