Sonic glanced at the crowd around him. He felt he had plenty of allies to further humiliate Peter.

Sonic laughed as he took in Peter’s appearance for the umpteenth time. “No one would believe you’re the bank’s highest-level priority customer. Only a fool would believe you’re a five-star priority customer.”

The other customers nodded in agreement.

“The main requirement to be the highest-level priority customer at this bank is to have at least five hundred million dollars in your bank account.”

Sonic pointed at Peter’s face. “I’m not sure someone like you even has five thousand dollars in your account, let alone the fact that you’re just a low-paid food delivery guy. If you want to brag, you still have to use your brain.”

One man in the crowd said, “Even the richest person in this city rarely becomes a top-tier priority customer.”

“Goodness, that guy must be crazy!”

“He must have hit his head on something so he can’t think straight!”

“He’s a pathetic liar!”

“I know daydreaming doesn’t cost anything, but there are limits to daydreaming!”

“Why are poor people always so pathetic and annoying!”

Sonic continued, “If you really are the highest-level priority customer at this bank, I’ll strip naked and run around the office grounds.”

“I hope you can keep your promise, Sonic.” Peter smiled, preparing to contact the branch manager.

“What are you doing, you bastard? Are you ignoring me?” Sonic glared sharply.

Peter observed Sonic and the crowded people. The two guards were still on duty, one of whom was on the phone.

“Are you trying to stall so you can escape this situation?” Sonic grabbed Peter’s hand. “You won’t be able to run! You’ll have to rot in jail for your actions!”

“Why aren’t you arresting that man right now? He’s causing chaos,” said a woman next to Sonic to the guards. “Take him away immediately!”

Peter remained calm as the crowd continued to pressure the guards to take him away. He could see that Sonic was thoroughly enjoying the situation.

“If I had chosen to avoid you and ignore your games back then, now I’ll make you pay for your actions, Sonic,” Peter muttered.

“Where are the manager and the bank staff?” Sonic shouted as loud as he could. “Why is this trash still roaming freely around here? He shouldn’t have been allowed in!”

“You’re just embarrassing yourself, Sonic. Stop before it’s too late,” Peter said.

Sonic snorted in annoyance. “I know the branch manager, and I can have him put you on the blacklist, or even drag you to jail!”

“You know the branch manager?” Peter smiled. “I know him too.”

Sonic burst out laughing. “Aren’t you tired of bragging already? You were bragging about being a top-tier priority customer, and now you’re bragging about knowing the branch manager? You’ve really lost your mind!”

“I do know him.”

“Bring that man here right now! I’m sick and tired of seeing him!”

Two guards grabbed Peter tightly, while Peter chose to stay calm and not resist. He would play along with Sonic.

“What’s going on?” shouted a man who had arrived with the staff.

The crowd immediately split in two as the branch manager and staff joined it.

“I’m deeply disappointed with this bank branch’s service for letting a thug into this office.” Sonic pointed at Peter. “He’s causing chaos here, so I and the customers feel very disturbed.”

The branch manager was suddenly startled upon seeing the two guards dragging Peter out. His face suddenly turned deathly pale. He brushed past Sonic, bumping into him.

“Are you listening to me, sir?” Sonic asked angrily.

“Shut up!” the branch manager snapped as he hurried toward Peter. He pushed away the hands of the two security guards gripping Peter.

The branch manager immediately bowed, his face growing even paler. If Peter reported this incident to headquarters, his career would be over immediately.

The branch manager said tremblingly, “I-I... truly apologize for this incident, sir. I take full responsibility for this.”

“What are you doing, sir? Why are you bowing to that scum?” Sonic asked in astonishment, “He’s just a thug and...”

“Shut your mouth!” the branch manager snapped with a piercing glare.

Sonic fell silent instantly, gritting his teeth. “I’m this bank’s top client. I won’t tolerate your rude behavior just now. I’m going to....”

“He’s slandering me.” Peter pointed at Sonic.

The branch manager immediately approached Sonic. “I’m going to report you to the police and blacklist you from every branch!”

“What did you say, huh? Why are you listening to that thug? He....”

“Mr. Peter is this bank’s five-star priority customer.”

“What?” Sonic’s mouth and eyes snapped open wide.

The people who had been sneering at Peter also fell silent. They exchanged glances and took a few steps back.

“That... can’t be.” Sonic took a few steps back until he nearly fell. “That thug can’t possibly be a five-star priority customer. He... he... is just...”

Peter approached Sonic, holding up a black card with gold lettering. “This card proves that I am a five-star priority customer. If you still doubt it, you can ask the branch manager.”

Sonic shook his head repeatedly, collapsing onto the floor. His face suddenly turned deathly pale. Sweat instantly poured down his body.

Sonic knew Peter as a poor college student who also worked part-time at a food stall.

“Peter couldn’t possibly be a top-tier priority customer at this bank. He… he’s just a poor college student. He…” Sonic tugged at his hair, slapping his cheeks. “It can’t be him. This must be a dream.”

Peter struggled to hold back a laugh at Sonic’s current antics. “I’m deeply offended by that man’s actions. Not only did he slander me, but he also humiliated me in front of everyone. The security guards were also very rude to me.”

The two guards immediately bowed their heads in fear.

“I’m going to report this incident to headquarters.”

“Please don’t do that, sir.” The branch manager bowed even lower, as did the other staff members. Some of them began to cry. “I promise to resolve this issue as best and as quickly as possible.”

“Then, what will you do to resolve this issue? I don’t need your words. I need proof.”

Peter was surprised by his own actions. Usually, he chose to back down and let the problem resolve itself. However, his courage and confidence suddenly surged.

“We will report that man’s actions to the police based on all your demands, sir. We will also put him on the blacklist.”

“Do it now.”

“No!” Sonic jumped to his feet, glaring alternately at Peter and the branch manager. “I know you’ve been working together! You want to humiliate me in front of everyone!”

“Take this man to the police station right now! I don’t want to see him causing trouble in this office anymore!” ordered the branch manager.

The two guards immediately grabbed Sonic.

“Let me go! I won’t stand for this humiliation!” Sonic struggled. “Don’t you know who I am and who my family is? I’m one of this bank’s priority customers! I can sue all of you!”

“Wait!” said Peter.

“That man is dangerous. I mustn’t let him influence me.”Sean ran as fast as he could, through narrow alleys and up small staircases, until he finally reached a fairly open area.“I suspected he was a drug dealer. My life is bad enough as it is. I don’t want to make things even harder for myself by getting caught by the police and ending up in jail as a prisoner.”Sean wiped the sweat from his brow and clutched his rumbling stomach. “That bread gave me a stomachache. Damn it, I’m starving and have no idea how to get food. There’s no way anyone would just suddenly give me free food.”“I can give you as much delicious food as you want, Sean,” said Seno, standing atop the building.“What?” Sean was so startled he took a few steps back. He was sure he’d run as fast as he could to get away from Seno.“I’m interested in making you my partner, Sean. But why did you suddenly run away like that?”“I-I don’t want to be a drug dealer. You’re… someone who’s just been evicted from their home.”Sean stood, holding onto the edge of the trash can, rubbing his rumbling stomach. He turned to the man, but couldn’t see his face clearly.“Take this!” The man in the black hat tossed him a loaf of bread. “This bread tastes terrible, but it’s better than scavenging for food in the trash.”Sean looked back at the bread and the man. “You didn’t put poison in this bread, did you?”“Huh?” The man laughed. “Why would I put poison in it? What good would it do me if you died?”Sean considered the situation for a moment before finally eating the bread. He vomi
